Despite its fabulous and luxurious look, it’s quite easy to create the emerald green & gold makeup look. Follow our step-by-step pictorial tutorial below and stick to the tips for a final perfect result!
Step 1: Everything starts from the base, so make sure you create a flawless makeup base by preparing your face for makeup. Wash your face to get rid of the extra grease and dust, apply a toner and move on to the makeup. Apply a makeup base and then a foundation according to your skin type and tone. With the concealer camouflage any skin flaws and apply a powder afterwards to give a mattifying finish to your skin. Next, contour your face with your favorite blush.
Step 2: Create the perfectly contoured bushy eyebrows with the help of a brow kit (E.L.F. brow kit in dark).
Step 3: Prime your lids (Urban Decay Eye Primer) and then apply a green base to the inner and outer corners of your lids, leaving the center clean. We have used E.L.F. Jumbo Pencil in Bali Bound.
Step 4: Cover the blank center of your lids with a shimmery gold base (E.L.F. Jumbo Pencil in Little Miss Thing). The application of both the base colors doesn’t have to be very precise, since you’ll blend the colors later on.
Step 5: Apply a shimmery emerald green eyeshadow over the green base. For the perfect color, we have mixed two colors from the Sleek Lagoon Palette (Sassea and Emerald).
Step 6: Use a gold eyeshadow on the center of your lids over the gold base (Halfbaked from the Urban Decay Naked Palette).
Step 7: Blend the emerald green color to your crease line above the gold eyeshadow. As done, use a nude eyeshadow color to blend again (Naked Buck from the Urban Decay Naked Palette).
Step 8: Repeat the overall process on your lower lid, starting with the green and gold bases.
Step 9: Over the green base on your lower lid apply an orbit color (from the Sleek V2 Ultra Matte Palette). Blend the color with the same Emerald tone from the Sleek Lagoon Palette.
Step 10: As for the center of your lower lid, use the same gold eyeshadow as on the upper lid. Blend the colors well.
Step 11: Apply a black pencil to your waterline and black eyeliner on your lids.
Step 12: Apply black mascara. Use false eyelashes for more emphasized eyes (Ardell 120 Demi).
Step 13: Last but not least, create the perfect pout with the help of pinkish nude lipstick (from the NYX Nude o Nude Palette). First apply a nude pink lipstick all over your lips, and then use a baby pink tone to the center of your lips. As a final touch, apply a highlighter to your cupid’s bow (E.L.F. Baked Blush in Pinktastik).
The delicate color of your lips perfectly goes with the richly jeweled eyes, making your emerald makeup extremely wearable both at parties and every day, when you are feeling maximum inspirational. Practice your makeup application skills following our emerald green & gold makeup tutorial and you’ll instantly land in the spotlight wherever you appear!
