Giorgio Armani Privé Couture Fall/Winter 2013-2014 Collection
The Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall/winter 2013-2014 collection was showcased during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week on July 2, 2013, bringing an air of delicacy and femininity to the fashion scene. For the new fall season, the high-end fashion house goes completely nude, poetic and melancholic, becoming a declaration of love by playing in the zone of the designer’s favorite neutral palette. As a result, the new Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall 2013 collection pays tribute to lady-like allure through different shades of nude, lightweight fabrics and flowing silhouettes.
As the designer of the fashion house reveals, this time he wanted to dedicate his collection to women only, and not to the insiders. This means that the Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall/winter 2013-2014 collection was created not on the personal skills of those who make it, but on the designer’s preferences, which means a complete dedication to women. Dishing on couture fashion, he added that it’s something spectacular, mysterious and what he likes most of all about Haute Couture is the “sense of competitions. We were in a dozen to make it, so the competition is more exciting,’ he stated.
The marvelous Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall/winter 2013-2014 collection unveils 52 unique dresses, all made in the nude color, a hue that penetrates into the skin and becomes transparent, the color that has no definition and that is universally flattering. The line brought either flesh-toned dresses or sheer materials (lace, organza or wool crepe) that were revealing the natural color of the skin. Besides this, a distinctive Old Hollywood vibe was present throughout those dainty Giorgio Armani Privé Couture dresses, which was perfectly well highlighted with the help of the Swarovski crystal details used, the embroidery and the dégradé sequins.
The Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall/winter 2013-2014 show opened with a parade of classic wool suits, which featured jackets with ostrich sleeves, bias skirts and pants, wool coats and lace jackets with heart-shaped necklines. As natural as that may sound, the best was kept for the end of the show, which became spectacular thanks to the cavalcade of long mermaid dresses, gowns with tulle skirts, ones featuring crystals, sequins, lace and embroidery. The message of the Giorgio Armani Privé Couture fall/winter 2013-2014 collection was as clear as water: woman and her grace! That’s why it was nude and romantic!
