Alexander McQueen to Launch First Fragrance in 10 Years
We ask the attention of all the fashionisers so much fascinated by the eccentric and outworldy style of Alexander McQueen! After a break of almost 10 years, the luxury fashion house is preparing to launch a new fragrance in cooperation with Procter & Gamble. Titled Kingdom, the first Alexander McQueen fragrance was released back in 2003, which was later followed by My Queen in 2005. However, in 2008, both the perfumes got disconnected and now, the luxury fashion house is back to the beauty scene!
“Creating a fragrance feels like a natural progression as it enhances the world of Alexander McQueen. I’m very excited by this opportunity to collaborate with P&G Prestige, to work together to create a scent that captures the unique sensibility of the house,” stated the creative director of the iconic brand, Sarah Burton.
This is the first collaboration between Alexander McQueen and P&G Prestige, despite the fact that P&G has deals with Gucci, Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana.
Talking about their partnership with Alexander McQueen, the president of P&G Prestige, Joanne Crewes said: “The contrasting elements of [McQueen’s] design approach: fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity is incredibly rich territory for fragrance development. This creative approach combined with our expertise in fragrance and brand building creates a wonderful opportunity for global growth and expansion. It is a tremendous privilege to partner with Alexander McQueen and to bring this incredible brand into beauty.”
Nothing is known yet about the name of the new Alexander McQueen fragrance 2013, its notes and the date of the release. Stay tuned with us for more news soon!
