Negative Effects of False Eyelashes
When trying to look even more glamorous, we start thinking of some additions that would make our facial features pop and create the look we are not gifted with. Some of us, unfortunately, weren’t born with long and thick eyelashes, which are considered to be the most enviable parts on a woman’s face. They make our eyes look bigger, more emotional and sexier. To fill the gap, you can consider using false eyelashes for added extension and perfection. Let’s study them thoroughly, examine their pros and cons, since it is believed false eyelashes have a negative impact on our eyes.
First of all, anything artificial naturally causes damage. Specialists strongly recommend those who are used to wearing false eyelashes to reduce their use, or at least take them off on a regular basis. There are types of false eyelashes that can be worn for days or even weeks. Never go for that kind, since it will damage your natural lashes.
It is believed, that when applying false eyelashes, your natural lashes get damaged. This may lead to the loss of your natural eyelashes. As a result, in our search for full lashes, we get even poorer lashes, which can hardly be repaired, in some cases unless we turn to surgical interference.
It is really important to know how to use false eyelashes to avoid damage. First, do not keep them for too long, and secondly, be gentle when taking them off. The glue that sticks the falsies onto your own lashes is very harmful too, since it can cause eye irritation and even vision loss. Watch out when using them. Those who are allergic should refrain from the use of eyelash glue, since it may cause irritation and redness to the eye.
Even though false eyelashes can add an extra dimension of beauty and style, don’t overdo it. They should accent, not emphasize the natural beauty of your eyes. So use them on special occasions. Never borrow anybody else’s false eyelashes, since they can harbor bacteria.
Another thing that may be a reason for eyelash damage is the type of your skin. Different skin types have different signals to something new and artificial. For some, a small damage can soon be recovered. For others though, even the slightest injury may be catastrophic. So first consult a dermatologist to learn whether your skin type will allow you wearing false eyelashes.
Besides, some natural eyelashes have weak follicles that cannot stand the tension of the fake ones, which means you will have a lash loss. To avoid such a dramatic harm, do not hesitate to remove the false eyelashes before going to bed.
It is natural that having a dramatic look with long lashes, you look and feel more confident. Nevertheless, think twice about applying anything artificial onto your face. Keep false eyelashes for special occasions and not for everyday use. Your facial skin and eyes are so sensitive, that once you damage any, it will be difficult to recover your healthy look.
