Isaac Mizrahi Launches First Fragrance ‘Fabulous’
The new season brings not only fabulous clothing and accessory collections, but also new exciting scents and projects, inspiring us to update our style from the very base. Thus, fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi has decided to make his first steps in the beauty world and after designing so many gorgeous fashion lines, to come up with his debut fragrance, titled ‘Fabulous‘.
It’s actually surprising why the designer decided to try his hand at the beauty industry only now, after being in the fashion world for almost thirty years. According to WWD, the designer tried to explain this question saying that: “I feel like if you get married too young, it rarely works out. It’s the same thing with this‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Üyou get really very few chances at [creating a scent.] You have to get it right. There has to be care taken. That’s what all these years of experience have brought to this. I really want it to mean something and be special. Good perfumes are more cultural than product.’
He aims to reach to the emotional world of a woman with his scent: “Creating a fragrance feels like the last piece of the puzzle. I’ve been designing clothes, accessories, housewares – everything for a woman’s lifestyle – for nearly thirty years. Fabulous is my opportunity to offer women something to identify with on a whole other emotional level.”
Developed by Mizrahi in cooperation with The Cloudbreak Group and Firmenich, Isaac Mizrahi’s Fabulous fragrance comes to be a fruity floral scent with a timeless allure. The perfume opens up with the top notes of mandarin, nectarine and bergamot, followed by the floral middle notes of jasmine, tuberose, freesia and peony and the base notes of sandalwood, vanilla and cedar.
The design of the bottle is fabulous too, like the scent. The perfume is captured inside a simple bottle with a girly polka dotted gold cap and a lovely pink bulb atomizer. The Fabulous fragrance will hit the beauty shelves on September 6, 2012, just in time for QVC’s Fashion’s Night Out event. It will retail for $78.00 (3.4 oz) & $65.00 (1.7 oz).
