Georgia May Jagger Is New Face of Sunglass Hut
Georgia May Jagger, who is the youngest daughter of Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones and 70’s supermodel Jerry Hall, has been announced as the new brand ambassador for Sunglass Hut, the most renowned authority on premium eyewear in the world. She will appear in the brand’s campaign starting September 2012. Previously the 20-year-old beautiful model featured in ads for Rimmel makeup, H&M and Hudson Jeans, as well as in editorials for famous fashion magazines, like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D and Numero.
“With her history and her background, but also her very cool, simple and playful relationship with fashion, we believed [Jagger] could be perfect [for Sunglass Hut]. We talked to her about the project and we got her extremely excited about the category, about the Sunglass Hut brand, and we decided to go ahead with this partnership,” chief executive officer Fabio D’Angelantonio told WWD.
In the Sunglass Hut campaign, Georgia May Jagger looks absolutely gorgeous with backcombed hair, luscious bright red lips and voguish sunglasses from Tiffany & Co., Versace and Vogue Eyewear. The campaign was shot by Daniel Jackson at a North London studio.
“I think everyone knows Sunglass Hut ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü they’re in every airport. I’m always buying new Ray-Bans,” Georgia told WWD. She reveals that her favorite lenses are “younger styles” by Persol and Ray-Ban in bright colors. I love the folding ones too, as they don’t break.” She then added that, “I’m still quite young, so I don’t think I have a definite way that I dress, it kind of changes every day. It depends on how I feel and how adventurous I feel. I just like to have fun.”
The stunning model also revealed to WWD that she would love to go behind the lens herself. “I’m planning to work for a bunch of different people, probably in fashion [photography] but I’m not sure,” she confessed. “I’d like to do a project like taking pictures of other models.”
Actually, Sunglass Hut isn’t her only deal now, as Georgia May Jagger has also been named the new face of Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§s Material Girl clothing line. “To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing,” the lovely model has stated. “I’ve always admired Madonna’s style and I’m thrilled to be working with them.”
