It might be only spring for us, but all of the luxury fashion houses are already debuting their Fall 2018 campaigns. In the fashion world everything moves so fast, so if you want to stay on top you have to be innovative and unique. It doesn’t seem that Saint Laurent is having a problem with any of that. The high-end label just released the photos from their Fall 2018 campaign. And who else to better present new releases than a popular celebrity. To make things even better, Saint Laurent tapped two trending names for their most recent campaign.
In the course of two weeks, the label released shots with Zoe Kravitz and Kaia Gerber as the leading roles. In the most recent ones, we have the honor to see the gorgeous Zoe flaunting Anthony Vaccarello’s stunning fall pieces. The actress/singer shows off her bold buzz cut in sky-high boots with an eye-catching cheetah print. The super-short embellished shorts are a standout element in her look, with a great chance of them being sold-out within days in the upcoming season. The outfit is finished off with a military-style coat, embellished on the collars and the bottom trim of the sleeves.
All of the shots are done in black and white by the photography genius David Sims. Alastair McKimm is the stylist behind the chic looks of Kravitz. As an addition to the photos, Saint Laurent also released a short film with Zoe as the leading protagonist. In it, she makes some sultry moves to the seductive sounds of “Venus in Furs” by the Velvet Underground. The actress was announced as the brand’s beauty ambassador last year in July. Since then, she also starred in Saint Laurent’s Spring 2018 campaign. It seems that she’s the perfect match to represent Vaccarello’s visions. Zoe’s personal style is very close to what the designer creates.
Kaia’s part in the ads debuted last week. The gorgeous 16-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford walked two of Saint Laurent’s runway shows and now scored a role in their official campaigns. Once again shot by David Sims and styled by Alistair McKimm, Gerber’s looks feature a more western vibe.
Ever since Anthony Vaccarello joined the label, he transformed it into one of the most sought-after brands with numerous celebrity collaborations. His edgy esthetics is what makes Millennials want to get more and more of what Saint Laurent offers.

As a part of the plan for expanding their family, the makeup brand took on board the “Closer” star to join them on an exciting journey. Halsey and YSL will mostly focus on the millennial customers by providing them innovative ways to use all their makeup products.

This is not a traditional partnership between beauty brand and celebrity. It’s a first of its type, considering the fact that Halsey will be creating her own makeup looks. In the process, the singer will be experimenting and promoting YSL Beauté’s products. The “Closer” star and YSL already kicked off the partnership on the AmfAR Gala that happened yesterday in New York. The brand already announced that the singer will be a part of the Governor’s Ball in June, and will share her beauty routine once again on Instagram.
Usually, popular stars hire celebrity makeup artists and hairstylists to get them ready for all sorts of events. Hailey is one of the rare ones who takes care of her makeup wherever she goes. Her looks are always so stunning that you might even mistake her for a professional. They started from nothing and built an empire around their names. That’s why the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris opened its doors for the YSL exhibition – to remind us of the person behind the brand.
The YSL exhibition will take you inside the Yves Saint Laurent’s archives and his magnificent work. This exhibition will give you a close look at the designer’s work practice. The event takes place at the Hôtel Particulier where the designer spent almost 30 years working. Museum-goers will have a chance to see the designer’s office space and his untouched desk, used from 1962 and on. Yves Saint Laurent was a dog person. You can see French bulldog figurines on the desk in honor of his dog Moujik. His signature glasses have a spot on this desk as well as the walking stick that he received as a gift from his mentor Christian Dior. Besides these pieces, visitors will have a chance to see iconic shots of the designer by Irving Penn and Andy Warhol.
As an addition to the more intimate look at his work, there is a separate section dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent’s sketches. These sketches give a closer look at Laurent’s design approach. The exhibition also shows the most iconic pieces he designed through his successful career. Expect to see the Mondrian dress, “le smoking suit,” and designs from his last collection. Yves Saint Laurent’s most famous editorials are displayed at the exhibition. There is also the one with the German model Veruschka in French Vogue.

The famous singer and actress Zoe Kravitz is the face of Saint Laurent’s Spring 2018 campaign. Both Zoe and Saint Laurent announced the collaboration on Instagram. They used the most popular social media platform to present the brand new black-and-white ad pictures. For now, they only served us several fierce looks, all of them designed and styled by Anthony Vaccarello.
The ad campaign was shot by the famous fashion photographer David Sims. In the black-and-white pictures, Kravitz radiates with sexiness and class. For some reason, Anthony Vaccarello enjoys black-and-white photos. Most of Saint Lauren’s campaigns so far were done in black and white.
In one of the looks, you will see the beautiful Kravitz rocking a pair of washed denim jeans. They are complemented with a simple black bra and excessive jewelry. Anthony finished off the look with a mesmerizing embellished bomber jacket. There is a hint of rock ‘n’ roll in this outfit, and that is the type of style that Zoe does best.

Paris Fashion Week got the most spectacular opening thanks to Saint Laurent. Anthony Vaccarello is not only the creative director of the luxury fashion house, but he lives and breathes Saint Laurent. This innovative genius staged the most astonishing show for Spring 2018. Models had a leggy moment. Voluminous figures and stunning glamour were everywhere.

When you think of Yves Saint Laurent, the first thing that comes to mind is Paris. And what other landmark screams Paris better than the Eiffel Tower!? The mind-blowing Trocadero area near the base of the Tower served as a catwalk last night. Vaccarello wanted to pay tribute to the legendary Yves with his Spring 2018 collection. Things got even more emotional with the unexpected death of Pierre Berge in the beginning of September. Berge was the business mastermind behind the French fashion house, and Saint Laurent’s best friend. Each seat had a card saying: “Maybe this is crazy love. The love of two madmen.”, a personal note from Pierre to Yves.
Anthony dived deep into the archives of the fashion house, starting from the very beginning and focusing on the haute couture days. The opening looks were inspired by Saint Laurent’s villa in Marrakesh and offered a relaxed bohemian style. The accent was on the ultra-short patterned leather shorts and loose shirts.
As the night progressed, designs got more elegant and sensual. The voluminous puffy dresses and tops that looked like real clouds left everyone in awe. Vaccarello expressed his wild spirit on the designs with the mesmerizing embroidery and sequins.
A-list celebrities got to watch the long-legged models walk on the huge catwalk with a sparkling Eifel Tower in the background. Robin Wright, Lenny Kravitz, Courtney Love, Frances Bean Cobain all arrived wearing SL from head to toes. The biggest face of this fashion month, Kaia Gerber had her Paris Fashion Week debut last night.

Yves Saint Laurent just introduced probably the boldest design of stiletto heels ever. The luxury brand released a completely unexpected new product, that got mixed reactions. The high-heeled roller skate stilettos are definitely a brave and daring product that is one of the most challenging ones so far. They are a part of the new Autumn/Winter collection of the French fashion house and are available in stores.
Anthony Vaccarello is the new creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, appointed just last year. He is the same designer that signed on these heels. Vaccarello is known for his ultra-feminine designs and bold decisions. The shoes have a very fun design that features a heel higher than 3 inches. They have three roller skate wheels attached at the bottom, one placed on the heel, and the other two at the front of the shoe platform. Right between the front two wheels, there is a kick-stop brake. The patterns of the shoes are as fun as the design. They are reportedly called the Anya 100 Patch Pump Roller and are available in five different designs.
This is not the first time that the luxury brand and Anthony have presented a shoe inspired by roller skates. The brand has already released roller skate hybrid sneakers that also featured wheels. That design was most certainly daring, but the heels are a whole new dimension. The rolling sneakers were sold at $1,195. The roller skate stilettos were already teased in a campaign earlier this year in February. The ad campaign itself raised a lot of controversies and was categorized as sexist. But honestly, this type of shoe doesn’t even need an advertisement.
So the question is, are these heels wearable and safe? Even thinking about walking on high-heels makes our feet hurt, now imagine rolling on them. It doesn’t sound like the best idea, but fashion is not about comfort anymore. There probably won’t be that many brave women to wear them, but there will be a lot of brave ones to buy them.
This daring stilettos will cost between $2,000 and $3,000, which is on the very high end of the budget. If you are a huge Saint Laurent fan that can’t resist buying the most iconic pieces, then you should definitely buy a pair.

The new fashion director of the brand, Anthony Vaccarello, decided to go back to Saint Laurent’s roots and show everyone that no one does it better than a Parisian. Vaccarello has been leading Saint Laurent for less than a year, and he is not the first one to find inspiration in a woman of the Gainsbourg family. His predecessor, Heidi Slimane, had the legendary Jane Birkin (Charlotte’s mother) star in the campaign for Saint Laurent in March 2016.
Charlotte has been more than successful in many fields. She is nurturing a very unique and distinctive style and has been a role model for many women. Her acting career has many bright points, including her appearances in many Oscar-worthy movies such as Nymphomaniac, Melancholia, The Tree, Confessions of a Child of the Century and more.
Her close relationship with Vaccarello and Saint Laurent was confirmed on many occasions. Charlotte was following his first show for the brand last fall alongside her mother and half-sister Lou Doillon. She wears clothes with Saint Laurent’s signature on a regular basis. This collaboration is just another step up the ladder for the young French trendsetter.
The 46-second video was shot at an abandoned industrial space in Los Angeles. Gainsbourg appears in a short, glittery, asymmetric one sleeve dress from the Winter 2017 Collection. She is slowly but fiercely walking in her YSL no-heel shoes while holding a bag. She gently sways the new ultra-long statement clutch by Yves Saint Laurent. Charlotte wields the new Saint Laurent bag like a weapon. Just more proof that French girls can pull off any look. The video was directed by Nathalie Canguilhem and was released on Wednesday.
Charlotte is currently attending the Cannes Film Festival where she is presenting her latest movie, Ismael’s Ghosts, in which she stars with Marion Cotillard. The actress shined at the first night’s red carpet wearing an extremely short glittery dress by — who else? — Saint Laurent.
