Trends, trends, trends – we can’t get enough of them. Whether is a brand new idea or a comeback from the past decades, fashion obsessives know that the urge to follow the latest trends is a fun thing to do. Of course, you shouldn’t lose yourself in the sea of trends. But the cuticle tattoos that took over Instagram lately can only do good to your style. So, we don’t have had a single argument against these cute little tattoos. This video has 7 of the cutest cuticle tattoos out there that might convince you to test drive this trend.
One of the reasons why we fell for this trend is because everyone can rock it. Rihanna is the queen of bold trends that not many would dare to try. But even the Barbadian singer and style icon is addicted to cuticle tattoos. She was one of the first who sparked this possibly painful trend. We are going to be completely honest, if you want your cuticle tattoos to stay forever, you might experience some pain. Anyway, if you just want to temporary upgrade your manicure, you can get cuticle tattoo nail art stickers. So, you don’t have to be Rihanna to pull this trend off.
As you can see in the video, you don’t have to go with a tattoo on every finger. For a toned-down effect, you can only tattoo one or few fingers. You can also take things in another direction and flaunt something unique and innovative. We love the Saturn-inspired cuticle tattoo seen in the video. This person drew Saturn and six tiny dots on her cuticles. The final result is insanely Instagrammable.
If you are into geometric shapes, you can flaunt the open triangle cuticle tattoos that look super sharp. Pair them with manicures in the similar aesthetic for even bolder effect.
Since we are only days away from the official holiday season a gold cuticle tattoo is what you need to round up your festive looks. In the video, we have the adorable gold bow tattoos paired with red nail polish. Red is the ultimate festive color, so feel free to copy this entire combo right away. Consider this is a last-minute holiday mani that you can do at home. No need to see your nail lady, just stick cuticle tattoo stickers and paint your nails in red.
Whether you want to keep it forever or just give it a try, the cuticle nail trend will for sure upgrade the way you take photos of yourself. Admit it – you would show it off on every Instagram snap.
The creativity of the makeup artists does not know any limits. Most of us haven’t thought about temporary tattoos since our childhood. But the restless artists found a way to implement them into their makeup looks. These tiny details will give a whole new dimension to your makeup look, especially if you are feeling bold.
Forget about having the perfect eyeliner or perfectly shaped eyebrows. Some makeup artists even tried this trend all over their brows and it looks fantastic.
The online store Violent Lips is the place where you can find a huge variety of these temporary tattoos. Although they were made to be used on the lips, you can place them anywhere on your face. Tattify.com and Tattly.com are two other online sites that offer thousands of these temporary inks in different colors, shapes, and sizes.
After you choose your favorite one, it’s time to create the look. In order to transfer the tattoo on your lips, you need to have a proper lipstick as a base. The professional makeup artist Giselle Ali already tried this trend. She recommends a matte liquid lipstick so that you can achieve the best possible effect.
“It’s important to use a lipstick that will dry matte as the transfer will need an oil-free surface to stick to.”- Giselle says for Allure.
When the base lipstick is completely dry you can go ahead and place the paper with the tattoo wherever you want it to be. Then you have to wet the paper with any makeup brush or a sponge. The process is very simple, and the end result is amazing. Many of the makeup bloggers decided to top their lips with a clear lip gloss for an eye-catching finish. Others experimented with ombre lips which also looks amazing.
The procedure is pretty much the same for the eyes (or any other part of the face). Place the tattoo, wet it and your daring look is ready. You don’t need lipstick as a base for the eyes. Just make sure that there is no oil on your eyelids before you put the tattoo on.
If you want to refresh your summer makeup routine and have a unique and sharp look, find the right tattoo for you and place it somewhere on your face.

They help us share our emotions with each other, whether we’re laughing, crying, or projecting love; emojis have become a part of our everyday lives, and so now the next step would logically be to incorporate them into our beauty routines.
Temporary tattoos can be totally fashionable and adorable, and now we’ve been given these new emoji lip tattoos to obsess over. These tiny tattoos can be worn on the face and even directly on your lips, so you can carry your favorite emojis with you all day; it’s the perfect way to merge together two hot trends of today!
Back in 2011, everyone was freaking out over Temporary Eye Tattoos and Violent Lips. Jeff Haddad was the creator behind those beauties, the tattoos for which covered your lips and lids with patterns and glitter, from colorful rainbows and spatters to animal prints, glitter, and fun prints like sweet treats (and so on). In other words, they were just really cool additions to so many fashionistas’ Instagram feeds! Five years have gone by since then, and now Haddad’s two daughters, Isabella and Sophia, have picked up where he left off.
Isabella, 19, and Sophia, 15, have entered the beauty business by creating their press-on temporary tattoos in the form of our favorite emojis. Dubbed Violent Lip Minis, it’s clear they’re working to follow in their father’s footsteps, but the appliqués do differ from the original Violent Lips.
As the “minis” name addition entails, these temporary emoji tattoos are teeny, so they can be worn anywhere you want, without having to make a huge statement as you might have needed to with the past products. And that’s definitely the biggest draw. The discretion relating to the size makes them easy to put just about anywhere, without causing much room for criticism from onlookers.
“The original Violent Lips temporary lip tattoos are applied onto someone’s entire mouth, which is kind of a commitment,” said the sisters in an interview with Cosmopolitan.com. “We created Minis because we wanted to give our customers the option to apply a more subtle product that still possesses a memorable statement. As soon as we came up with the idea to start this new line, we decided to make it a multi-purpose tattoo that can be applied onto the lips, face, nails, and body.”
It’s nice to see that things are staying in the family. Working off of Jeff’s initial idea, his daughters have created a modern twist that will have everyone raving. The emoji stickers, which were inspired by Isabella and Sophia’s classroom doodles, will make a great, yet subtle statement in the fashion world in the near future.

Cute small tattoos for girls can rightly be considered unique accessories, while also being brilliant self-expression means telling a lot about the personality and the inner world of the wearer. Tiny tattoos are also a great idea to start your journey in the epic world of ink with, where getting in the grip of an obsession with all those beautiful, little stamps is inevitable. Below, we present 50+ undeniably cute small tattoo ideas for girls along with their meaning to inspire you!
There is one beauty enhancement method (for some others beauty spoiling method, though) that just requires thinking twice even thrice before trying it on yourself. What is that permanently imprints a life episode, an elemental force, a religious motif, a life-leading slogan or something pretty occurring in the nature? It’s enough to hint that the very imprinting area is your own body and you will seize that it is all about tattoos.
Whether you are for or against it, tattooing carries on being the center of hot debates throughout the years. Even now that we have ushered into the 21st century, where liberalism is on top, a group of people stand as vociferous opponents of body tattooing, considering them being either body distortion or a symbol of immorality. However, a large group of people, including celebrities, businessmen, scientists, even spiritual fathers have literally run mad after tattoos.
Tattooing is a branch of art, a way of self-expression, something that allows flights of fancy to play around. Have you ever asked yourself what meaning that tiny and fragile butterfly inked somewhere on the shoulder or the hip of a girl carries? Are you persistently keeping the meaning of that tiny lotus flower tattoo behind the door, so mysteriously peeping out on your back while wearing an open-back design dress?
We are bringing to light a huge number of absolutely cute small tattoos for women and their meanings, which will come in handy for the first group, while enraging the second group of secret-keepers. There is still another third group actively pondering on what tiny stamp to bring unto the body. Cute small tattoos to saturation!
1. Aromatic Rose Tattoos
To make a declaration of love to a woman, a bouquet of roses seems to prove the best choice ever. They are truly beautiful, with intricately layered petals and delicious aroma spreading around.
A small rose tattooed anywhere on a feminine body magnifies its beauty and allure. But the meaning of rose tattoos goes far beyond being just a beauty and love symbol.
A blooming rose may epitomize love at its zenith, while a rose bud – a newly growing love or else in anticipation to open the heart to that feeling. A rose tattoo with thorns may serve as a reminiscence of love being full of pains and struggles. Even larger symbolism comes into view when running into a colored rose tattoo.
Red rose is a synonym of passionate love, pink roses are reflecting first love and innocence, and yellow roses are a symbol of friendship, joy and in some cases also mature love. There also occur white rose tattoos as a reference to purity and a secret admirer, and blue roses mirroring something beyond reach.
A black rose may be inked on body as a memory to someone special or to something mournful. Maybe we haven’t yet revealed the secret behind your rose tattoo, yours is purple! It is already revealed. Purple rose is a symbol of true eternal love or love at first sight.
2. Wonderful Butterfly
From egg to caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to awe-inspiring butterfly – these are the metamorphosis phases of this stunning insect. And when one opts for a cute small butterfly tattoo to decorate a part of her body forever and ever, she has either undergone a spiritual transformation or is on the brink of doing it, maybe also stuck between two phases.
Overall, butterfly tattoos come to symbolize the past consigned to oblivion and the present being embraced wholeheartedly. Drew Barrymore and Mariah Carey have been spotted on the beach carrying butterfly tattoos.
3. Cherry Blossom Tattoos
Cherry blossom tattoos may reach their pinnacle of beauty when done on a large scale across the whole back, for example. A tiny cherry blossom tattoo is also so pretty and magnetizing, usually tattooed on a wrist, on a finger or so much more attractively on a back, especially with a couple of petals falling down. So what is this ethereal thing boxing up?
Cherry blossom is the national flower of the Japanese people, which they ceremoniously call “Sakura” in Japanese. It is well known that the blooming period of these pink flowers is very short; they may cease to exist any time possible, much like it happens with a human life. So this tattoo design is a constant reminder to live to the fullest, as life is so short.
In the Chinese culture, the cherry blossom symbolism boils down to the nigh same instantaneous life paradigm plus implying some touches of feminine sexuality and power over a man. Whilst for the Buddhists the emphasis is placed on the credo to live in the present moment, to forget the past and to leave the future to the destiny. Yours is only the present!
4. Small Ladybug Tattoos
Though cute, small ladybug tattoos are not so widespread as, say, flowers, butterflies or hearts, they make far the most positive and inspiring tattooing idea, really. Through their being so tiny, these pretty red insects covered with black dots come to be super functioning when in hesitation to go for tattooing or not.
Tiny ladybug tattoos may be placed on the wrist, finger, on the shoulder or lower back, behind the ear or on the hip either alone or climbing up a flower bush.
Overall, a ladybug is a symbol of good luck, prosperity, bliss and jubilation. According to the Chinese, if a ladybug lands on one’s head, he will have a lucky day.
If it lands on the head of a single girl, it is needed to count the dots on the ladybug, which determine in how many months the lady will get married. In case of a married woman the number of dots indicates how many babies she will have in the future.
In Christianity ladybug is considered to be a holy insect. Back in the middle ages Europe was suffering great crop damage because of bad plague of crop eating insects.
The Christians started praying to Virgin Mary for help and then a huge amount of ladybugs appeared killing all those insects. That is why ladybug also comes to be a symbol of friendship and aid.
5. Small Angel Wings Tattoos
The symbolic meaning behind angel wings tattoos may vary depending on an individual’s life experience or belief. Angels are creatures sent from the heaven to protect and safeguard us from any kind of perils; that is why many women opt for small angel wings to be tattooed on their nape or back to feel the presence of a Guardian angel all the time, while for some angel wings may become constant reminders of someone special who has passed away.
In other cases this tattoo may just symbolize spiritual evolution of the soul. Beyonce, Jenna Dewan and Nicole Richie are angel wing tattoo fanciers.
6. Religious Lotus Tattoos for Girls
Ancient Egyptians adored it, the Hindu give it some sacred traits holding it highly in reverence, while for the Chinese and Japanese it is the way to enlightenment. Obviously we are speaking about the lotus, that all-powerful and stunning flower that grows out of mud, in murky waters, blooming on the surface of water into a delicate flower, pure, clean and without any stain of mud.
A small lotus tattoo on feminine skin may imply winning out all life miseries and perils thus resurrecting as a new, pure creature.
What is more, in the ancient times the petals and seeds of this sacred flower were used for some healing purposes, while also being widely used in food industry even now. So one may wear this lovely flower tattoo on her skin as an impetus to never experience any moral or psychological exhaustion, come hell or high water or one may want to focus on its mysterious aspects, giving it some sexual meaning.
7. Tiny Hummingbird Tattoos
Do you know enough about this teeny tiny bird? The unique and graceful hummingbird flaps its wings 50 times per second or even more; it can hover in almost any direction, even backward and upside down.
A hummingbird has the most rapid metabolism of all other birds occurring in the nature, it spends too much energy, which may lead to eating 50 times a day so as just to survive and if it does not pull off to garner enough food resources it just goes in for hibernation.
The unique traits of this bird could not but serve as a high-wattage momentum for many women to tattoo it on their bodies. In general a hummingbird is a symbol of joy and love but its symbolism goes even further.
It may also express high energy, agility and swiftness, high productivity and in some cases even lying down in a peace only to pile up more energy for more vitality.
8. Pitter-Patter Heart Tattoos
Hearts have always been used as a symbol of love and passion, adoration and devotion whether in painting, poetry or body art. Heart tattoos may have different meanings depending on the concrete individual.
One may tattoo a heart as homage to her great love to someone or to the life in general, for another one heart means great aspiration to find true love or it may also be considered as a central organ of vitality.
There also happen broken heart design tattoos to emphasize that the individual has experienced something painful and disappointing in her life while a heart with wings is a symbol of free spirit and bliss. A heart tattoo can also be paired with the name of someone precious or it may go in design with a dog or other pet as a love declaration to them.
9. Twinkling Stars Tattoos
What are those astronomical objects that are shining and sparkling through the night as if guiding little flashlight? They are those stars that from time immemorial have been lighting up the travellers on their way.
Proceeding from this, stars may be tattooed unto the body as a belief to be always guarded and accompanied. Apart from that, the symbolism of star tattoos may differ greatly depending on the number of its points.
For instance, the pentagram or five-pointed star is a symbol of balance between our spirit and nature – four points representing four elements of nature (fire, water, air and earth) and the fifth one uniting them all. The celebrities carrying cute star tattoos are Kate Hudson, Eva Longoria and Gisele Bundchen.
10. Sun and Moon Tattoos
In almost all the cultures throughout the world the Sun personifies masculinity, i.e. strength and power while the Moon has always been the symbol of femininity, all emanating fragility and affectivity. The union of these two opposite figures brings down the Ying Yang concept, i.e. where there is good there is also bad, without bad good cannot be perceived in a proper manner.
So whether Sun and Moon are tattooed separately or merged in a circular frame, they indicate the coexistence of two opposite traits in an individual, which are at times living in harmony, but at times also struggling frantically against each other.
11. Blow-It-Away Dandelion Tattoos
The name of dandelion in and of itself rings a bell; I momentarily go back to my childhood, skylarking through fields and clapping hands with glee upon the glimpse of a dandelion. I remember it so clearly to pluck this fragile flower off the ground, tightly close my eyes, making a wish and blowing off the dandelion seedlings, then opening the eyes to see all the seedlings to the last blown off – my wish will come true then!
So, above all else, dandelion tattoos are firmly associated with human dreams – either dreams already fulfilled or in great aspiration to come true. It may also be interpreted as life being so short.
Just like it is with dandelion to pass away with the arrival of the wind, the human life is also so unpredictable and ephemeral. So the meaning behind a dandelion tattoo may be expressed by these simple words, “Enjoy every moment of life and do what really matters!”
12. Arrows: Always Ahead
For Native Americans an arrow serves as a hunting and protection weapon, it is the weapon of Cupid who is in constant search of uniting two people with love; an arrow is also an element of the Zodiac sign, Sagittarius.
In one way or another arrow is always directed forwards and in no way backwards, that way always propelling the arrow tattoo carrier to move on with newer and newer ambitions. It may also signify a lifelong path already determined or being searched vigorously.
Two crossed arrows represent friendship and are often tattooed in pair between two faithful friends, but if they are tattooed in reverse directions, they become the symbol of war.
One of the best small tattoos for girls, a broken arrow stands for peacemaking and a bundle of arrows is an emblem of unity and strength. Stamp a small arrow or two anywhere on your body whether on a finger or behind the ear and move through life on and on and on.
13. Anchor It and Go Stable
When the vessel is to be hooked into the seabed at the harbor, anchor is used; when the ship is wavering on troubled waters, anchor is dropped into the sea bottom for stability. So, anchor selection as a permanent body decorator is a reference to stability and security in every aspect of life. It may also indicate great love of its carrier for water.
The eccentric and crazy celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Kate Moss and Lady Gaga are overtly not stability enthusiasts. Then what do their anchor tattoos signify? Come on, let it remain a secret!
14. Be More Giraffe: Aim High, Stand Tall, Get Spotted
The appearance of the giraffe with its high, grandiose neck is already enough to suggest its being the symbol of grace and elegance. But the symbolism of this artistic animal does not end in here.
A giraffe tattoo wearer may have picked this image as a sign or more probably as a momentum to gain far-seeing and long-reaching vision, to enlarge horizons and to always look down at own problems from above, weighing them all objectively.
Small giraffe tattoos may happen in their natural colors or abstractly iridescent, more often on the forearm or on the ankle.
15. Snowflake, My Pretty Little Snowflake
Before its being melted, just try for a moment to stare at a snowflake and to catch its complex, yet so delectable structure. No two snowflakes falling down so gracefully from the sky are alike; each snowflake has its unique structure and size.
So a small snowflake tattoo emphasizes its carrier’s uniqueness and individuality. A snowflake tattoo may also signify peace and composure as it is falling down so silently unlike the rain and it may also symbolize rebirth and transformation, since when melted it does not vanish but transforms into water.

Keys are so important in our lives – a key to the flat door, a key to the drawer, and metaphorically also a key to the heart. We are opening and closing, closing and opening many things with keys.
So, a key tattoo on someone may hold the meaning of so many opportunities in life – a lot of doors to be locked and a lot of doors to be unlocked. But a mystery-addicted lady may carry this small key tattoo as to show the mysterious side of her essence.

Diamonds tattooed on a female body may go in keeping with her realistic diamond ring around the finger, while also misleading others that the lady’s diamond tattoo is expressing her great love for luxury and beauty. If you are aware of this fact then you will to all appearances change your mind about the lady’s diamond tattoo signifying strength and power rather than just luxury. But think twice.
After all, initially there is “diamond in the rough”, which shows off all its grace and beauty after being polished. So maybe the lady is chasing inner beauty accenting purposes.

In this sense a cute, small seahorse tattoo may be a symbol of mythological power and superiority, while also being a charm of good luck.
Additionally, the seahorse may change its skin color when facing some dangers, it may wrap its tail around something not to be wrecked by troubled waters and one more unique feature to it is that it is the male seahorse that carries the eggs, not the female.
All these unique traits make them absolutely different from other creatures, thus also making seahorse tattoos the symbol of creativity and fantasy.

In many Greek and Roman myths dolphins are described as human life-savers, who bring back lost sailors safely to their homes, while for the god of sea, Poseidon dolphins were messengers and errand runners. Hence, dolphins are highly social creatures, thus serving as a symbol of communication, intelligence, friendship and goodwill.

38. Go Tree, Stand Firmly
A small tree tattoo may also look very stylish on a feminine body, more frequently provoking curious discussions like “Why tree?”, “What do you mean?” and also silent thoughts like “What is this girl’s secret?” Just think about tree-typical qualities.
They are long-lived (from 50 to 500 years), standing very firmly on the earth with roots stretching around deep under the earth, every single year fructifying and also serving as a venue for birds to weave their nests.
All in all, a tree tattoo is a symbol of strength, survival, stability and helpfulness.

41. Heartbeat or EKG: Cherish your Life
We can not only feel but also see our own heartbeating, more precisely the electrical activity of the heart, with ups and downs. What if it becomes a straight line? Life is over.
Going under the tattoo needle to bring forth the EKG image is a constant token that life is precious, and every moment of it should be appreciated. But it may also be imprinted on the body as to honor the memory of someone special.
42. Infinity Sign Tattoos
Anyone of us might remember the school years when the mathematics teacher was explaining that this is the infinity sign and it is written like lying 8. Hence, with a rabbit tattoo on you, you might give away yourself as a dealer-wheeler character. Rabbit is also a symbol of fertility, prosperity and bonanza.

Famous Russian tattoo artist and Instagram star Sasha Unisex has teamed up with Estee Lauder to launch a selection of temporary tattoos for fashion chameleons, who love the idea of wearing tattoos, but never stick to one design and look. Sasha, who can be considered the originator of the watercolor tattoo craze, has her own line of temporary tattoos and even registered her eponymous brand back in 2014.
This time around, she decided to reach wider masses and to give the Estee Lauder fans a chance to wear her art, launching these unique summer lines dubbed Flowers and Black & White.
Sasha herself stars in the lookbook of her collection, alongside models Ellen Sheidlin, Yana Kryukova and Mary Kuzmenkova, who are pictured wearing the designs from both her lines.
While the Flowers collection focuses on delicate watercolor flower tattoos, the Black & White range brings in dramatic black-and-white drawings, as the name already implies. Besides flowers, the artist has used other interesting motifs in the collection, mostly illustrations of animals, including foxes, dogs, horses and bears, a theme she often uses in her art.
Bright colors and intricate designs are the key motifs Sasha uses in her art, along with subtle geometric touches, which have all been combined in her temporary tattoo collection. We see pretty bows here, blooming roses and realistic-looking leaves, unicorns and some empowering messages that might have been created with women in mind, but will definitely appeal to men too.
Tattoos represent an entire world, where art, emotions and philosophy go hand in hand, representing the wearer’s inner world and personality the best ways possible. Actually, in the modern world every other person wears at least a tiny tattoo, be that a woman or a man, a supermodel or a fashion blogger.
Sasha’s tattoos let you embrace your most colorful and boldest self, and if you aren’t self-confident enough to wear them for the rest of your life, investing in her temporary designs is a good idea.
The Sasha Unisex x Estee Lauder tattoo collection actually uses Sasha’s most iconic tattoo sketches, letting you instantly apply your favorite design to your skin without feeling any pain, while also having the option of removing it whenever you get tired and want to embrace your own naked skin. The temporary tattoos from these lines can be purchased from Tattooyou.com and from the artist’s personal website – sashaunisex.com.
In case of buying Estee Lauder products at EsteeLauder.com from June 7 to July 7, you have the chance of getting Sasha’s temporary tattoos as a gift, when you use the promotion code SASHAUNISEX 1, and your purchase is over $70 USD.

Do you like tattoos? Sometimes we positively love them too! Other times, not so much. Depends on what we see at the moment. The more artistic the designs, the more likely to gain our approval. Then again, many people seem to get random bouts of tattoos that just look too disorganized for our tastes.
Of course, there are those who get their tattoos to create something beautiful out of a body that has been marred by cancer, specifically if there has been a double mastectomy to remove the danger. In this case, we see some rather incredible designs by really creative individuals, which help recreate the body of the woman who has forgotten to feel beautiful.
Some have opted for tattooed gorgeous bras, others have florals or animals drawn on, removing from a person’s notice the fact that nipples or sometimes whole breasts are missing. While some tattoos are done in bad taste for some individuals, like misspelled words and rather indecent drawings on forearms, others have a story to tell and a body to beautify.
Or they can just be really wacky but awesome 3 dimensional pieces that are rather hard to forget. The 2D tattoos are cool and all, but it is the 3D acrylic tattoos that have us flabbergasted, mouth left open and eyes feasting on the artistic creations before us.
Now, all tattoos need not be with a needle and ink either. It appears that Natasha Farnsworth has discovered a new way of painting on people, tattooing using acrylic paints, the back becoming the canvas more often than not and a woman’s body being turned into multi-colored caves, ethereal galaxies and rather fascinating waterfalls, the images themselves so very real that one seems to get sucked into their world entirely. In Farnsworth’s case, her lover is her canvas and the romance of drawing on her back is rather enviable.
Some are on the scarier side though, something you don’t realize looking at the colorful cave option. In the horror scene designs, we notice some frighteningly real-looking snakes pushing forward out of a ripped back.
And then there is that enchanting night sky, a mottled rip on the back giving way to a whole universe beyond, as if the woman before us is something out of a science fiction movie, a goddess of sorts with the galaxy as her epicenter. There is a beautiful earthly night sky as the dusk gives way to Nuit, though that and the waterfall look a little too 2D for our tastes.
And then we notice ourselves on another planet, staring through a window over heavenly oceans towards what we deem to be earth, unless we have entered a whole different nebula on its own. We much prefer the gentleness of the tones there, the image having floated around the Internet for years now, over the creepy caves with the dripping lava seen though openings on the back and rather reminding us of certain glimpses of Hell that we notice on Farnsworth’s lover as well.
All in all, it is really interesting how something like a tattoo can be revamped and reworked and turned into a totally different form of art, where what you put on is no longer entirely permanent and you won’t have to go through the embarrassment of removing from the face or other parts of the body when things go downhill.
Acrylic it is, darling, and we really would love to try some on ourselves! Maybe we should go backless over the summer and have these incredible 3D tattoos showing off a whole different side of us entirely?

Don’t miss: Temporary Hair Tattoos Are A Thing Now
This year, it appears that one of the biggest summer trends is indeed the temporary flash tattoos to add a fun and trendy twist to your outfits as you enjoy your days out in the sunshine. No matter the outfit, it appears these pieces are perfect for offering a cute alternative to typical jewellery accessories.
Remember the stick on tattoos that rubbed off easily with water that we got used to in the ‘90s and early 2000’s? Remember how awesome they made us feel, no matter how awkward an art piece they were? Remember your mother’s admonishments when she found you with your limbs full of the weirdest cartoon characters and immediately made you take a shower where she supervised the scrubbing off of the monstrosities?
We bet what you remember best is how awesome you felt as you walked around with your very own tattoo, knowing full well you can change it anytime you like into something newer and better. It was a liberating experience to know you are in control over your own body.
Temporary flash tattoos are great for the beach, for the music festivals that you will be attending time and again over the next 2 months, the quintessential BBQ meet ups, and the dates that require a bit more of personality to be present. It is a very trendy accessory to wear these days, stuck to your body and without any chance of being stolen in order to be sold to the highest bidder as is the case with real gold jewellery.
How it works? Place the tattoo on your skin, dampen it up and peel the applicator away, leaving in its place an awesome metallic colored unmovable accessory.
How exactly should you be wearing flash tattoos to be right, though? We cannot exactly show off our tats the way we did 10-15 years ago when we were but newly reaching our teenage years. Thankfully, there are a few guides out there to show us what looks best and many people who would love to point you in the right direction.
1. Wear It Like a Celebrity Would
This is a very ambiguous hint but it makes sense really. After all, celebs are our source of fashion inspiration! Flash tats have become big because of celebrity endorsements as it is, but if you still want to know how it looks, check out the way Vanessa Hudgens wore it at Coachella 2015. She had it on her arm as a tribal armband, wearing an intriguing Sassanian figure across the top of her abdomen with a Child of Wild x Flash Tattoos piece as well.
Queen B has her own line in black, on the other hand, and that one fills up the body with more traditional temporary tats, from the Temptu for Dereon Tattoos line. Celebrities have been donning these awesome looks for a few months now and it is only becoming more prevalent among the paparazzi photo shoots.
2. Keep It Totally Colorful
The more colors you add, the lovelier your flash tattoos will look really. It is all about dazzling the eyes of those looking your way, the “Illia” pack containing some rather cute designs for you. You can have it all over the arms and neck, particularly taking over the wrist regions with multiple styles.
The brightness of some artist collections, such as Charmaine Olivia’s “Be Bright” pieces, allow one to embrace the inner mermaid we all have dwelling in us.
3. Feel the Chic in the Boho Looks
One of the biggest trends of the year is the boho chic fashion, which appears in the way we have been dressed, from the garments to the accessories. Travellers can feel even more of the exotic feel with the pretty golden flash tattoos now, dreaming of their awesome getaways.
The wanderlust sets in and the tats only serve to give you more of that tribal feel as you can imagine yourself on a deserted island with your loved ones or simply meeting lost strangers. Boho combined with exotic is where we are most comfortable it seems.
4. Bring It To the Beach
One of the best places to be wearing the flash tattoos is at the beach, on your body as incredibly eye catching pieces that take up no space and have no weight to them. You do not even need to worry about anything getting lost. You can rock the temp tattoos down your back and around your midriff as well, but should consider that tan lines they will eventually leave behind.
5. Give It Some Extra Glam
For those of us you like to show off a little more, wear a bit more bling and generally appear to be the women in charge of the Amazon, the flaunting of the glamour that defines you through a gorgeous metallic flash tattoo.
You can use it in alignment down your back, kind of like aligning the chakras as you do your yoga, or wear it around your arms, adding glam to your exercise routines.
6. Exotic Is the Name of the Game
Whether you plan to look like an Amazon queen or a Saharan princess, the inner regal lady in you will be stunningly beautiful with a set of stunning metallic tattoos shaped to show off tribal designs from Child of Wild. The Desert Dweller sets are most intriguing indeed, with tats extending down from under the chin as well to the center of the chest.
There are even the Kurdish slavery designs that had become big during the early 1900s, now seen not as a mark of property but to show off a woman’s integral beauty. Egyptian scarabs and ankhs line the nape and under the ears as well, extending to between the shoulder blades to show off the ancient in modern style.
