Everyone’s favorite swimwear brand Solid & Striped just launched their latest campaign. Instead of just tapping a famous swimsuit model to present their designs, Isaac Ross and his creative team decided to do something completely different. Solid & Striped collaborated with 13 of the most popular supermodels at the moment, who also designed their own pieces. Shot by Bjorn Ioos, styled by Carine Roitfeld, the campaign took place at Harbor Island in the Bahamas.
The brand’s “Swim Team” 2018 ads feature an array of Victoria’s Secret angels and other huge names in the industry. Elsa Hosk, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Aldridge, Carolyn Murphy, Isabeli Fontana, Barbara Palvin, Hannah Ferguson, Jessica Hart, Natasha Poly, Josephine Skriver, Eniko Mihalik, Hailey Clauson, and Toni Garn are the official new superstars of Solid & Striped. The collection offers a choice for everyone. No matter if you are a one-piece vintage girl, or you love chic separates, you’ll find everything you need in this swimwear line.
Each of the supermodels was given the creative freedom to do whatever they wanted for their personal swimwear piece. This is a part of Solid & Striped’s new empowering campaign, that puts women in charge of everything. By giving them this opportunity, they all had the liberty to show off their creativity and individual spirit. Each swimsuit is exclusive to one model and will be available in several different colors. White, black, blue and red are the four colors that dominate in the collection. Lily Aldridge opted for a cute one-piece style with side bow ties, Elsa Hosk debuted a daring set, while Jourdan Dunn created the chicest one-piece with side cutouts.
“I wanted to change the model/brand dynamic and empower these women by putting the creative process into their hands. We looked for team members with opinions, ideas, and creativity. I wanted to work with women who had a perspective on bathing suits and had spent parts of their career modeling bathing suits and sort of reimagine the model/brand dynamic. Usually, we pay someone to model our bathing suits but I thought it would be interesting to have some of these women to create the perfect bathing suit for them.”- said Ross.
You can shop all the model-approved styles starting from today on solidandstriped.com. The “Swim Team” 2018 collection prices range between $168 for the one-piece silhouettes up to $176 for the separates. The swimwear company was established by Isaac Ross in 2012 and introduced its first female line in 2014. Since then, the brand collaborated with Poppy Delevingne and Staud on several occasions.

The body-positive babe Ashley Graham just proved that she got it from her mama! The model invited her 53-year old mother, Linda Graham, to star along with her in the newest campaign for Swimsuits for All. Although Linda is a newbie in front of the camera, you would never guess that this is her debut modeling experience.
Ashley started her collaboration with the inclusive swimwear brand back in 2015. Since then Graham has designed swimming suits in an impressive size range for women of all shapes and sizes. Ashley’s swimsuits were a game-changer especially for curvy ladies who have had very limited choices predominantly conservative and in dark colors. But Graham challenged the society’s beauty standards with her collections and campaigns and encouraged curvy ladies to show off their curves with pride.
The new campaign for Swimsuits for All was shoot on various locations in exotic Morocco by photographer Ben Watts. Ashley and Linda had a bonding mother-daughter time during the shoot. The model made her mom comfortable in front of the camera with her pro tips. Linda claimed that the tables have turned because she used to be the one who encouraged Ashley to accept and love her body throughout the years. Linda Graham donned a string bikini for the first time in her life in the campaign for Swimsuits for All. Just months ago she has flaunted a bikini for the first time in 30 years. Until then Ashley’s mother has only worn one-piece swimsuits. But her model daughter encouraged her mama to show off. Now both ladies are on a mission to show to all women that bikinis love to hang out with all ages, shapes, and sizes. They are even wearing coordinating suits which show that age is just a number that shouldn’t play a role when you are choosing a swimsuit.
The 30-year old model offered another fun collection full of hot swimwear. There are one-pieces with cutouts, and lace-up details, as well as various bikini designs in different colors. When Ashley does something, inclusivity is guaranteed. She made sure to include multiple bikini and monokini styles, so every lady could find her perfect swimsuit. Besides bringing her mother on set, Ashley modeled a lot of the offerings by herself.
At this time of the year, we are still covered in multiple layers and barely think about swimsuits. But in case you are planning a winter vacation on an exotic location or just want to stock up on hot beachwear for the upcoming warm months, keep in mind that Ashley Graham’s designs are already available to purchase.

Victoria’s Secret‘s long-serving angel Candice Swanepoel is adding a designer to her resume. The African beauty modeled swimwear for Victoria’s Secret for years and now she is finally making her own pieces. The brand is called Tropic of C and will come to life next month. Candice Swanepoel has been a bikini authority for years showing off her toned curves in many shoots and campaigns. Naturally, the top model decided to personally unveil the first designs of her brand.
She shared pictures modeling the hot swimwear pieces on even hotter location, Amanyara in the Turks & Caicos. Candice Swanepoel‘s swimwear offerings are inspired by ’80’s monokinis and Bond Girl-esque bikinis. High cuts dominate in her beachwear line making the designs ultra-sexy. One-piece swimsuits had a moment last year and according to Swanepoel, they are here to stay. She presented hot backless millennial pink monokini as well as classic mustard one. There is another pastel pink offering in a bikini form with high-waisted bottoms and corset top. Judging by the pictures, Candice Swanepoel’s swimwear line isn’t on the shy side. The angel offered pieces for those who feel comfortable to show off on the beach.
Candice added that Tropic of C has been made with “loads of love.” Knowing her passion for exotic destinations, we don’t doubt in her statement. In the photos from the exotic photoshoot, Candice flaunts a flat tummy which isn’t the case right now. She is pregnant with her second child and recently shared a lot of photo updates from her vacation with Victoria’s Secret’s pal Doutzen Kroes. The two models went on a family vacation in Brazil together with their husbands and kids. Even pregnant, Candice Swanepoel didn’t miss the chance to show off her fly physique in a few show-stopping bikinis. She also walked the annual Victoria’s Secret show while pregnant and no one had a clue. She announced her second pregnancy in December. Altogether it seems that 2018 will bring a lot of excitement to Candice Swanepoel both on the personal and professional level.
Tropic of C’s swimwear line is still not available to purchase. As stated above, we expect to see more of Candice Swanepoel’s beachwear pieces in the following months. For right now, fans of the model can sign up for updates on the brand’s website topicofc.com. Make sure you subscribe if you want to be among the first ones to shop Tropic of C’s swimsuits.

The self-described beach baby finally came out with her very own swimwear line. Emily Ratajkowski launched Inamorata, a very instagrammable bathing suits line that might change your view on swimwear. The model & actress has the perfect background to make a revolution in the swimwear industry. She grew up in San Diego and studied art and design. These two things and over 15 million followers on Instagram encouraged Emily to get in the role of a swimwear designer. If you scroll through her Instagram account you’ll notice that Emily lives in her bathing suits. So, the launch of her swimwear line didn’t surprise us at all.
Emily’s Inamorata swimwear line carries her signature vintage vibe. The model went through old Sports Illustrated issues and Helmut Newton photographs for inspiration. She borrowed ideas from styles from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. That’s why her first collection for Inamorata is full of figure-accenting, high-cut bathing suits.
There are six styles so far, three bikinis and three one-piece swimsuits. The bikinis are also sold separately with separates and tops priced at $75 and $80 respectively. The one-piece swimsuits cost $160. Emily Ratajkowski made sure that these monokinis will enhance your waist in the best possible way. The model’s goal was to make these swimsuits as flattering as possible. Besides the super-high cuts, she used belts and bow ties to draw all the attention to the waist. The idea for the bow ties came from a picture in Sports Illustrated from the model Stephanie Seymour. This model wore a one-piece swimsuit with few bow ties in the back. Emily was obsessed with this idea and decided to add these details on the front. The bow ties are adjustable so you can have control over the tightness in the waist area.
The swimsuits come in a few fun prints as well as solid hues. There are swimsuits in a vintage polka dot print, a fierce leopard print, rich brick red and pastel peach color. All the one-piece styles are perfect for everyday wear. Ratajkowski spent a lot of time in Majorca recently and noticed that the pool and beachside attire is part of the women’s lifestyle there. Emily saw women of all shapes, sizes, and ages taking the swimsuit outside of the beach in their everyday life. They would cook, eat, relax, and take care of their kids while wearing their bathing suits. The lifestyle of these ladies inspired Emily to design monokinis you could take everywhere with you.
The Inamorata swimwear brand is self-funded by the model. She designed all the swimwear pieces by herself. There are an assistant and consultant that are helping her with other stuff.
“I’ve been doing different things with different people, but to have complete control is really special and exciting,” the model told Vogue.

Miami Swim Week is the biggest swimwear fashion event in the world. This huge event is happening right now in Miami, with many designers waiting to show their new swimwear pieces. The event started on Thursday, July 20th and it will be going on until Wednesday. Miami Swim Week brings together the biggest and the most popular brands as well as not so popular ones, hoping to make a huge statement.
“Swim Week is the biggest platform for the swimwear industry in the U.S. It could be a chance to find the hottest new brand, or the chance to find a new distributor, a new contact, a press opportunity — it can be anything,” – says Cece Feinberg. She is the owner of the PR agency Cece Feinberg, that has been a part of the Miami Swim Week since 2004.
One of the most anticipated events during the Swim week is the Planet Fashion Swim Weekend. Other noticeable events include the Hammock and Cabana trade shows.
The Swim Show is happening for the 35th time this year and it is held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This is the biggest platform that shows more than 2,500 brands and is visited by more than 3,000 people. The dates for the show are between July 22 and July 25.
During the Miami Swim Week, you will find swimsuits of all styles, sizes, and colors. There is a lot of diversity and you can easily find something within your budget. Designers from all over the world come to Miami to show their work. A lot of popular bloggers and influencers attend the events and cover them on social media. The week is full of parties, DJ sets, drinks, cocktails, and fun.
The biggest surprise for this year is Sports Illustrated. The brand presented their new swimsuit collection for the first time during Miami Swim Week. On Thursday night the company brought their newest designs and attractive models on the runway. A lot of other renowned brands are going to be a part of the Miami Swim Week, including Roberto Cavalli.
“The public can really get excited about seeing so many swimwear designers and swimsuits. And really they’ve taken swimsuits to another level. We’ve brought together emerging designers and then top brands like Roberto Cavalli,” said Celia Evans, who is an event planner for Planet Fashion Swim Weekend.
When it comes to swimwear, it may seem pretty straightforward, but you’d be surprised to know how many options you have. Opposite of the regular clothes, the swimwear is just one square foot of fabric so you get only one chance to make it right.
To help you rule the beach this summer, we’ve picked the hottest men’s swimwear trends for summer 2017.
The camo print had its comeback in some clothing collections. Kylie Jenner even launched a camo bikini recently. Now you can wear matching swimsuits with your sweetheart because the military-inspired look took over the men’s swimwear as well. If patterned shorts are out of your comfort zone you can get solid khaki shorts.
You can’t escape the flower power in the summer. The good old floral print is always an excellent idea. The key when choosing a vivid print is to opt for shorter styles than those you would usually wear. Plain colors allow longer shorts but the fun floral print looks best on a mid-thigh length. You should also choose a looser fit because according to the menswear designer Alex Gordon “you may look like a Club Tropicana Cabana boy,” if you wear too tight floral trunks.
Prints might look fun, but plain colors look classier. There is another great advantage of the men’s swimwear in plain colors. According to the professional photographer Ash Kingston, swimwear in plain colors looks better in group photos. If you are going to a beach party with your friends you will probably rave about it in on Instagram. It’s easier to make a great shot if there aren’t many prints mixing with one another. Plus it’s easier to find a single color that flatters your skin tone than an entire pattern.
If you have a fair skin you should go for a deep green, navy or burgundy tones. Those with darker skin should opt for bright vivid colors. Lime green and sunshine yellow are perfect if you want to be in the center of the attention at the beach. Guys with darker skin tone can channel Baywatch with solid red shorts. Those with milk bodies should avoid the red color because they are more likely to get the lobster look under the sun.
For the summer 2017 men have two possible options to go back in time. For those who like to show more skin, the 70s’ inspired short shorts will do the job. On the other hand, if you prefer to be more covered the 90s’ inspired shorts with dolphin hems are the best option.
Exotic tropical prints are always welcomed at the beach. This season the yellow hue is a major trend and the pineapple print is everywhere. Yellow pineapple printed shorts is the most beach-approved men’s swimwear piece this season. There are other prints available such as playful flamingos and exotic palm trees.
