As we are approaching the end of another Paris Fashion Week, it’s time for a recap. Since not everyone has the time to spend hours on the internet looking at the Spring 2019 collections, we rounded up the 8 best that were fabulous and out of this world. You’ll see designers such as Alessandro Michele and Gucci, Anthony Vaccarello from Saint Laurent, Virgil Abloh with Off-White and more. They all stuck to their recognizable aesthetics, but strongly respected the DNA of the labels they design for.
Besides bespoke designs, SS 2019 PFW offered some of the best supermodel moments during fashion month. You don’t get to see the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid on every fashion show on the schedule. So, when they appear on the runway, it’s a moment to remember. Here are our favorite supermodel appearances on the runway from SS 2019 PFW.
Paris Fashion Week is officially on, so there’s nothing better than highlighting a dramatic fashion moment. A number of designers such as Alessandro Michele from Gucci and John Galliano from Maison Margiela once again opted for opulence with a strong dose of spectacle. We rounded up some of the fiercest looks from the SS 2019 PFW runways that you simply have to see.
It might be only spring for us, but all of the luxury fashion houses are already debuting their Fall 2018 campaigns. In the fashion world everything moves so fast, so if you want to stay on top you have to be innovative and unique. It doesn’t seem that Saint Laurent is having a problem with any of that. The high-end label just released the photos from their Fall 2018 campaign. And who else to better present new releases than a popular celebrity. To make things even better, Saint Laurent tapped two trending names for their most recent campaign.
In the course of two weeks, the label released shots with Zoe Kravitz and Kaia Gerber as the leading roles. In the most recent ones, we have the honor to see the gorgeous Zoe flaunting Anthony Vaccarello’s stunning fall pieces. The actress/singer shows off her bold buzz cut in sky-high boots with an eye-catching cheetah print. The super-short embellished shorts are a standout element in her look, with a great chance of them being sold-out within days in the upcoming season. The outfit is finished off with a military-style coat, embellished on the collars and the bottom trim of the sleeves.
All of the shots are done in black and white by the photography genius David Sims. Alastair McKimm is the stylist behind the chic looks of Kravitz. As an addition to the photos, Saint Laurent also released a short film with Zoe as the leading protagonist. In it, she makes some sultry moves to the seductive sounds of “Venus in Furs” by the Velvet Underground. The actress was announced as the brand’s beauty ambassador last year in July. Since then, she also starred in Saint Laurent’s Spring 2018 campaign. It seems that she’s the perfect match to represent Vaccarello’s visions. Zoe’s personal style is very close to what the designer creates.
Kaia’s part in the ads debuted last week. The gorgeous 16-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford walked two of Saint Laurent’s runway shows and now scored a role in their official campaigns. Once again shot by David Sims and styled by Alistair McKimm, Gerber’s looks feature a more western vibe.
Ever since Anthony Vaccarello joined the label, he transformed it into one of the most sought-after brands with numerous celebrity collaborations. His edgy esthetics is what makes Millennials want to get more and more of what Saint Laurent offers.

Kering, the giant conglomerate of high-end goods, teamed up with London College of Fashion to release the first-ever digital course in luxury fashion and sustainability. The company put their best sustainability specialists to collaborate with LCF in creating an all-access online programme, that will educate and help young, emerging designers. The whole point of the launch is to accent the importance of finding alternative eco-friendly sources and using them properly.
The renowned luxury company stands behind brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and many more. Most of its fashion houses already announced that they will go fur-free in the near future. According to Kering, it will be a six-week course, available for everyone who wants to sign up and learn more. The primary goal is to influence all the designers, who are already a part of the fashion industry by helping them implement sustainable principles in their future work.
“We actively work with our houses to craft tomorrow’s luxury via our 2025 sustainability strategy but also wish to contribute to the evolution of luxury fashion as a whole, by sharing our expertise with industry counterparts and educating future generations. Today I am proud that Kering’s partnership with London College of Fashion takes a new step, making education accessible outside of the classroom with this the world’s first open-access digital course on sustainable luxury fashion.”- explained Kering’s CEO, Francois Henri Pinault.
The online course ‘Fashion & Sustainability: Understanding Luxury Fashion in a Changing World’ is the first digital one in the world of its kind. Thanks to Kering’s efforts in making the industry a better place, they will influence a large audience in many positive ways. We are talking about MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), meant to educate through real examples drawn from fashion houses such as Stella McCartney, Gucci and more. During those six weeks, all of the participants will be able to follow different podcasts, activities, movies and more. In order to stimulate talented designers, Kering and LCF made the six-week programme accessible online from mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
Recently, Kering was rewarded with the acknowledgment as the most sustainable fashion conglomerate in the world by Corporate Knights. The company and London College of Fashion already set up a platform, where applicants can sign up and follow the daily activities of the online course. It was constructed in a way that participants can access it at any time, all they need is an Internet connection. The official start date is April 9.

The gorgeous singer Halsey was announced as the new face of YSL Beauté. As a part of the plan for expanding their family, the makeup brand took on board the “Closer” star to join them on an exciting journey. Halsey and YSL will mostly focus on the millennial customers by providing them innovative ways to use all their makeup products.
There will be no traditional campaign shots like all the other brands tend to do. Instead, Halsey will be posting all the looks created with YSL Beauté products on her Instagram account. That way all of the followers and fans will be able to steal tips and tricks from their favorite singer. She always finds fun ways to experiment with both makeup and hairstyles, which is the reason why the brand decided to tap her as their muse. From her ever-changing hair colors and cuts to the fierce lipsticks and long lashes, the singer defies the ordinary in many ways.
“Recording artist, Halsey, well-known for her music and poetry, will soon be working with YSL Beauté to create makeup looks that speak to the millennial consumer. While everyone knows about her chart-topping music, her talent as a makeup artist is a secret to many. Not for long, as YSL Beauté taps into Halsey’s unique vision of beauty and the way she offers her fans makeup tips and tricks. In this partnership, Halsey will showcase her makeup looks to her 6.5M Instagram followers on a monthly basis. – states the brand’s press release.
This is not a traditional partnership between beauty brand and celebrity. It’s a first of its type, considering the fact that Halsey will be creating her own makeup looks. In the process, the singer will be experimenting and promoting YSL Beauté’s products. The “Closer” star and YSL already kicked off the partnership on the AmfAR Gala that happened yesterday in New York. The brand already announced that the singer will be a part of the Governor’s Ball in June, and will share her beauty routine once again on Instagram.
Usually, popular stars hire celebrity makeup artists and hairstylists to get them ready for all sorts of events. Hailey is one of the rare ones who takes care of her makeup wherever she goes. Her looks are always so stunning that you might even mistake her for a professional. Anyway, the news comes as a surprise to many although this is not the first time that the star has collaborated with a cosmetics brand. In 2016, she teamed with MAC on the #FutureForward campaign.
