MAC Cosmetics is one of the busiest brands out there, with a new drop almost every single day. They are also known for the limited-edition collections they debut every season. To celebrate the last month of summer, the label is treating all of their fans with a brand new collection. The Supreme Beam Summer 2018 line is made of 18 fun products. If you are into glossy, shiny, iridescent looks, this line was made for you. MAC focused on flawless, ethereal skin and statement lips with the new releases.
The long-awaited MAC collection that pays tribute to the iconic Aaliyah is finally here. What not many people knew is that the label collaborated with the late singer’s brother Rashad Houghton. The whole family was very involved in the choice of shades and names.
“My mother keeps everything — she’s incredible. She still has baby albums and books, so she actually had a lot of my sister’s M.A.C. products, so we really started from that bold lip that Aaliyah’s known for. [The fans] knew that if we had an M.A.C. line that really focuses on bringing some of those archived looks back while thinking about the future, it would be incredible. All we wanted to do was represent her illustrious career, so we wanted to have looks and products that really represented her songs, represented really important moments in her life. Every pencil, every lip gloss, lipstick, or powder has a name that represents the color, of course, but also represents a part of her personality or song.”- Rashad said.
If you are old enough to remember Aaliyah, you probably can recall her statement makeup looks that were always bold and beautiful. The singer loved using MAC products, and her fans were obsessed with everything she put on her face. Her mother still has some of the brand’s items that Aaliyah kept in her makeup bag. That’s why the label decided to collaborate with both the fans and the family to do the collection justice.
There is one thing we all can’t wait to see and try. Aaliyah was a huge fan of lip glosses, so MAC included four new Lip Glass shades. The shimmery peach color is called “Li Li’s Motor City”, the sparkly dark berry is “1 In A Million”, and a deep fierce burgundy named “At Your Best You Are”. For all the ladies who prefer softer lip shades, they can go with the pearly shimmery “Brooklyn Born” color.
When it comes to the lipstick shades they are as amazing as the lip glasses. For that recognizable Aaliyah bold lip, you should opt for the sparkling black “Sweet Thing” shade. The brand and the family included two red hues, “More Than a Woman” (dark red) and “Hot Like…” lipstick (fierce red tone). Last but not least, the prettiest nude named after her most popular song “If You Don’t Succeed.” To finish off with the lip look you will need one of the two lip pencils: “Nevermore” (black) or “Follow Your Heart” (red).
The Aaliyah collection also features a nine-pan eyeshadow palette, which the brand already teased a few months ago. MAC now revealed that the official name is “Age Ain’t Nothing.” The face product in the line is a bronzing powder named after another huge hit “Baby Girl”. You can start saving up for June 20, when the line will drop online, and June 21 in stores.

The collaborations between Patrick Starrr and MAC are so hot that the brand decided to bless us with one more. Just in time for summer, the beloved makeup giant is dropping a brand new Patrick Starrr line. The influencer’s third collection with the label is titled Diva Feva. It will give you serious tropical vibes, so watch with caution. You can now travel to an isolated island thanks to Patrick’s creative releases. The line will feature five new drops, ideal for the hot summer days. Knowing his creative way of doing makeup, you probably already know what to expect.
The most important makeup product for summer is the bronzer. That’s why Starrr included not one, but two bronzers. The Give Me Life Bronzing Powder is an essential and will get you that extra tan, without too much effort. The Hot and Heavy Opalescent Face Powder is a pressed highlighter with a beautiful golden shimmer, to make your face shine all day long.
If you are obsessed with MAC’s iconic lipglass, Starrr got you covered. The mega-popular influencer is all about shiny, glossy lips. So, he decided to include two new shades of the lipglass. Cream Pie features a pretty baby pink hue, while Fashion Punch is a gorgeous light peach tone.
For those statement lids this season, you can use Patrick’s gorgeous quad eyeshadow palette. Sandy Crotch will help you achieve a pearlescent orange-hued look. Ruddy is the perfect coppery red with golden undertones. Brash also carries some extra gold shimmer added to the brick red shade. Mabuhay is a shimmery peachy shade.
If you want to get that special summer glow, but you’re not hitting the beach until late summer, you can easily fake it with the Patrick Diva Feva products. MAC once again gave the beauty influencer complete freedom in creating the makeup products. This time he was all in by directing the video and planning the advertisement. In the short promo video, you’ll see the makeup guru all dressed up and accessorized in bold hues, surrounded by handsome guys.
Patrick’s first collection for MAC was released half a year ago. The products sold out almost right away and fans asked for more. A few months later, they decided to take the second turn and launch the Floral Realness spring line. The best thing is that you have to wait only days until the Diva Feva line drops. It will launch on mac.com on June 7 and in select MAC stores.

It’s officially time to forget about matte lips and completely surrender to this trend. With the warm weather came bright lip colors in the form of glosses. Although MAC is one of the brands that first joined the madness with several gloss releases, they are now dropping a whole collection of them. Stay tuned, because you’ll want to know more.
The Oh Sweetie line features 15 cute shades, each one of them carries a reference to some type of dessert. This is officially the sweetest makeup release ever! The lip glosses smell, taste and even feel like you have an actual sweet treat on your lips. All of the colors are fierce, fun and eye-catching. There are several unusual shades that only the boldest would dare to rock.
According to the press release the formula is “whipped for mousse-like texture” and the lip glosses are described as “funfetti-bright, frosted opaque hues for lips”. The effect is very much like a frosting to your pout, so no wonder that all of the shades were inspired by desserts. Wild Berry Frosting is the coolest blue color you’ve ever seen! Another impressive shade is Key Lime Truffle, a vibrant shimmery green tone. The line also offers a range of pink shades starting from the soft baby pink Sugar Cookies, to the bold fuchsia Raspberry Pavlova.
MAC tapped the popular influencer Caro Daur to front their Oh Sweetie collection. Caroline is a young German fashionista that has collaborated with the brand on a previous occasion. She created her perfect nude lipstick for MAC and is now rocking a whole line of lip glosses. Caro’s favorite shades are Panna Cotta and Death by Chocolate. Who wouldn’t love some extra sweet treats on their lips? The best thing is that you don’t have to cheat on your diet because these delicious glosses bring zero calories to your meal plan.
MAC’s Global Senior Makeup Artist Dominic Skinner teased the Oh Sweetie glosses several times. Dominic recently explained that he used these goodies during the last fashion week. Skinner also shared swatches of every shade on Instagram with the caption: “They not just look like the #SweetTreats but they smell and taste like them too!!”. We’re already hooked. The colorful line of lip glosses will drop on June 11 at maccosmetics.com, as well as in select stores and retailers on June 14. They will retail for $17 per piece.
MAC won’t seem to stop with amazing collaborations. Each week the brand announces a new partnership with labels from all spheres of the industry. We’re still haven’t gotten over the gorgeousness of the Patrick Starr spring collection, and now MAC strikes again. They just announced a joined line with Puma, which will drop very soon.
It’s all based on the concept that now you can match your sneakers to your favorite lipstick. Lipsticks are the essential makeup product that ladies use every single day. MAC is an iconic brand that has provided women with amazing goodies for so many years now. The brand has several top-selling lip shades, sold all around the world. Now those same hues can be a part of your outfit. MAC first teased the collection in November, and since then we’ve all been waiting for the day when they finally reveal the pieces.
The brand already shared their excitement for the collab with a cute video on Instagram. “Kicks that match our lips?! YES, PLEASE! M•A•C has joined forces with @puma @pumasportstyle to create limited-edition suede sneakers inspired by our iconic Lipsticks Lady Danger, Créme d’Nude, and Sin! #PUMAxMAC#FORALLTIME”.
Puma and the makeup label teamed up to create three exclusive sneaker designs that will match MAC’s highest-selling lipstick colors. The sportswear brand reworked their popular Suede Design and added a chic edge with the new colors. Sin, Crème d’Nude, and Lady Danger are the tree tones that were used as a starting point for the collection. All three pairs are made of a gorgeous suede material, with MAC’s signature logo stitched to the tongue.
Sin is the most beautiful deep plum shade that looks ideal on the lips. Puma upgraded the chic suede sneaker design in the matching color as the Sin lipstick. The Lady Danger kicks are done in a fierce orangey-red, to match the eye-catching lipstick. Crème d’Nude is heaven for all the nude-lovers. This sneaker style features a gorgeous peachy nude tone with hints of soft pink.
MAC is one of the most innovative labels in the industry with numerous collaborations that are an enjoyment for everyone. Recently they joined with the fashion-forward brand Nicopanda and released the colorful collection two weeks ago. The cool partnership with Jeremy Scott, the ones with Jade Jagger, and Padma Lakshmi are all so good, that we simply can’t get enough. The MAC x Puma line will be released sometime in May. Each pair will retail for $90, while the matching lipsticks will cost $19.

It’s been quite a while since MAC announced their homage collection to Aaliyah. Finally, after months of anticipation, the makeup giant gave us a sneak peek and an official release date. The great news was first released in August last year after a large number of fans signed a petition on change.org. The act was supported by the singer’s makeup artist Eric Ferrell and her brother Rashad Haughton. Rashad even shared details of how MAC was one of Aaliyah’s favorite makeup brands. The cosmetic label didn’t need more convincing than that.
More than a half year later, the beauty giant is blessing us with an Aaliyah-inspired line, that will most certainly be epic. Think of bold lip liners, fun shadows, and statement lipsticks. The singer’s favorite brown hues are already a part of the collection, judging from the first look. It’s more than sure that it will be all about the fierce 90’s trends that the singer set with ease back in the day.
“Aaliyah super-fans everywhere – YOU made it happen! Inspired by your loyalty and love, the 90s-glam #AaliyahForMAC collection is coming soon! Aaliyah lives on in a makeup collection influenced by her groundbreaking work in music and film.”- the brand announced on their Insta page.
So far the brand teased two of the Aaliyah-inspired MAC products. The first one is a nude lipstick in a darker coffee shade, that reminds very much of the singer’s favorite one. The second product is a 9-pan eyeshadow palette with both matte and shimmering shades. The packaging is done in a gorgeous burgundy color with Aaliyah signature on it.
In 2016, MAC released a collection that honored Selena Quintanilla, 21 years after her death. It sold out extremely fast, which encouraged the brand to drop a second restock. Just like the Aaliyah line, the one about Selena was initiated by a petition on change.org. Two weeks ago Melt Cosmetics beat MAC to the chase and dropped their Aaliyah-inspired line.
MAC is also asking for help from fans to create a short movie “A-Z of Aaliyah”, that will pay respects to the iconic singer. The brand announced that while fans are waiting for the release, they can send pictures and videos of Aaliyah, to help the brand put together a homage to celebrate her legacy. The official release date for the Aaliyah For MAC line is June 20, when fans will be able to shop it online. On June 21, the collection will also be available in stores. Now June seems like ages away!
Patrick Starrr is the absolute king of glam in the beauty world. The beauty influencer who was once behind MAC’s counter is now one of the leading artist collaborators of the brand. Patrick has one MAC collection behind him, one ready to take over your spring makeup routine and three more coming in 2018. The cosmetics giant tapped Starrr for a total of five collections this year. Their second collaborative collection, dubbed “Floral Realness” is one of the most vibrant spring releases we have seen so far.
Patrick Starrr is no stranger to bold colors and over the top glamorous makeup looks. With his latest MAC collection, the beauty influencer is giving his fans all they need to shine brighter than the sun this season. The collection consists of 10 pieces full of color. Starrr wanted his fans to be able to get a full kit for an affordable price, which wasn’t the case with his first collection with MAC that consisted of more products. The “Floral Realness” collection includes eyeshadow quads, blush duos, lipsticks and lip glosses. In Patrick Starrr’s fashion, all of the names as well as the packaging are insanely chic and appealing.
Dubbed ‘Me so Chic” and “Me so Fleek” the kits are everything you need to look vibrant this spring. Each kit comes with an eyeshadow quad palette, a blush duo, a lipstick and a lip gloss. “Me so Chic” is on the pastel side with lavender and mauve tones. The eyeshadow palette “Stay With Me” is perfect for creating soft spring makeup looks. There are beautiful peachy nude lipstick and soft-hued lipgloss that carry the names “Sweet MamaStarrr” and “Mamastarrr Kiss” as a nod to his mother. The blush duo called “I’m Not Blushing” features a peachy and bronze tones. According to Starrr, this kit is for all of his fans who want to look cute and classy.
“Me so Fleek” is for those who demand a pop of color on their face. There is a royal blue and fuchsia eyeshadow in the “Play With Me” palette that Patrick used to create one of his bold campaigns looks. He completed the fierce eye makeup look with hot fuchsia lip called “Hey Boy Hey” and the “Queen P” lipglass. The blush duo “Take me Home” is designed to give you a flirty flush of color to your cheeks. All of the products from the “Floral Realness” collection come in insanely gorgeous pink-hued packaging with flowers all over it.
The Patrick Starrr x MAC “Floral Realness” collection launches on April 16 online and April 19 in stores all over the US. The beauty guru added that the collection will also be available internationally somewhere in May. Each kit costs $50 which is such a steal considering all of the products that you get.

MAC Cosmetics is a makeup brand that never ceases to amaze with their collaborations and new launches. The last few years have been huge for the cosmetics giant and it seems that 2018 is going to be big too. Just in time for spring, MAC is expanding their range of glitter pigments. The brand’s glitter collection so far involves 26 shades, and they will add additional 13 exciting hues. Amazing news for all the makeup addicts who can’t get enough of glitter.
At first, it was only a rumor, but MAC finally confirmed the great news. The brand still hasn’t released any specifics, but there is one shade that is already in use by celebrity makeup artists. We’re talking about the Iridescent White pigment that has a unique 3D effect. Its holographic nature gives the glitter the ability to shine in different shades. In one type of light, it will appear as a gorgeous golden hue, in others might look like a lavender tone or even silver. These mesmerizing unicorn-inspired sparkling particles are already the top trending topic in the beauty world.
Glittery makeup looks are trending at the moment on every single runway show. Starting with Pat McGrath’s mesmerizing holographic sparkling lips for the Maison Margiela show, to the numerous other ways you can add shine to your face, lids, lips, and cheeks, it seems that 2018 will be all about glitter.
The mysterious MAC product already made its debut on the runway. It was first spotted during London Fashion Week, at the London College of Fashion MA18 Womenswear Catwalk presentation. Makeup artist Claire Mulleady used the mesmerizing new glitter shades to create an extreme shine all over the models’ lids.
Days later, the legendary makeup pro Val Garland used the same glitter pigment to do her magic for the Preen catwalk presentation. According to Val, she dipped her makeup brushes in the new Iridescent White shade that will launch very soon. To achieve the magical look, she used the glitter pigment as dust, which she blew straight to the skin of the models. This might not be the most common way to use sparkles in your makeup looks, but keep in mind that there are plenty of other options to add that glam factor.
MAC’s new glitter pigment collection is the perfect chance to get your KiraKira app into action. The brand hasn’t confirmed an official release date yet. They did share that you can expect the sparkling new additions sometime in April. April is less than a month away, so start going through your Insta feed for some glam makeup inspiration.
Versace, known for it’s Italian baroque prints, didn’t shy away from that in it’s A/W 2016 RTW show, but we also spotted some sporty looks and fun wavy accents incorporating corals, blue, yellow-green, and of course lots of black. The models, included Mica Arganaraz, Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, Stella Maxwell, Natasha Poly, Karlie Kloss, and Kendall Jenner, to name a few. The makeup featured a slightly smoky winged eyeliner and a slight hint of cheek color, similar to Donatella Versace’s classic look. In the video below I am showing you how to get this look, and also below are all the products I used to get it! (Click to buy).
1.) Primer: My first step when applying makeup is ALWAYS my Tom Ford Illuminating Primer. It’s definitely my favorite primer and possibly one of my favorite products. It gives such a beautiful glow and makes my skin feel moisturized without making it greasy. A little goes a long way with this, so one pump is enough to cover my whole face. If you splurge on a product, make it this one! Get The Tom Ford Primer for $75 Here.
2.) Foundation: For day to day makeup I prefer a more natural coverage foundation, but when I want complete coverage, this is my holy grail of foundations. Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme. Get The Becca Foundation For $44 Here.
3.) Blend: This tool is probably no stranger to anyone who wears makeup. I still use my fingers to apply the foundation, as I believe the body heat aids in even distribution, BUT I love the Beauty blender for just that, blending. I use it around the hair and neck/jaw line, nose, and eyes. It’s also great for when you are blending concealer, a contour, highlighting, or blush cream/stick. Get The Beauty Blender for $20 Here.
4.) Conceal: I have used this NYX concealer for a few years now and it’s my go-to for just about everything. I have used it for blemishes, contouring, under eye, and eyelid coverage. It’s creamy enough to spread smoothly, and the coverage is great. Get This Concealer for $4.99 Here.
5.) Powder: My new favorite powder is the “Stay matte but not flat” foundation powder from NYX. I am able to set my foundation without it looking cake, but still able have a glow by highlighting certain areas and setting it with a illuminating setting spray.
Get This Powder For $9.99 Here.
6.) Contour: Charlotte Tilbury makes my favorite contour powder, and it’s found in her “Filmstar Bronze and Glow” contour palette. Get This Contour Palette For $68 Here.
7.) Contour Brush: My exact brush is no longer available, but here is a great one from NYX that will get the job done.
Get This Brush For $13.99 Here.
8.) Blush: I used the “Pretty Naked” shade in the Purity Cosmetics pretty naked palettes my blush and the “Pink Champagne” as my highlighter. (Their products are good karma because they’re cruelty free!)
Get This Cheek Palette For $47.00 Here.
9.) Eyeshadow: I used the color “Strange” in this Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette for the base color all over my eyelids.
Get This Eyeshadow Palette For $54.00 Here.
10.) Shadow Brush: I have found this brush from Tom Ford to be my most used eye shadow brush of all time. It’s brush #13 and I use it for an all over base, for blending, and even a light crease shade. Get This Eyeshadow Brush for $57 Here.
11.) Eyeshadow Crease: I used the #224 brush from MAC in my crease. It’s very similar to the Tom Ford brush above, but I have always liked this one best for the crease application and blend out.
Get This Brush For $32.00 Here.
12.) For the crease I used the shade “Nooner” also from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Then tied in the cheek color as well.
13.) On the bottom of the eyelid I used the “Combust” shade in the Urban Decay Smoky Palette.
Get This Eyeshadow Palette For $24.97 Here.
14.) Eyeliner: I always start a wing liner with an eyeshadow base to really grab and lock in the eyeliner. I used this angle brush from Real Techniques to do the trick, it also aids in getting that the flawless angle on the wing. Bonus! It comes in a duo pack!
Get This Eyeliner Brush Duo For $8.99 Here.
15.) Eyeliner: I used the “Black Market” shade also from the Urban Decay Smoky Palette for the base of my eyeliner.
16.) Eyeliner “blending”: Words can’t express how much I love this brush from Tom Ford. It’s my all time favorite brush for lining and blending my eyeliner.
Get This Brush For $57.00 Here.
Get This Mascara For $29.50 Here.
18.) Highlighting: I used the highlighter that’s in the “Filmstar Bronze and Glow” palette by Charlotte Tilbury.
19.)Brow Gel: The Mary Kay clear brow gel is highly favored, and in my 3 years of daily use, I can see why. It really aids in locking in the shape you brush your brows into. Get This Brow Gel For $10 Here.
20.) Lips: Kate Moss has been collaborating with Rimmel London for a while now, and many good products have came out of it, such as this lip color.
