Is there any chance we could inherit some of Karlie Kloss’ and Jourdan Dunn’s initiative and adventurous spirit just by looking at them? The fantastic duo is officially back on the scene for a new Liu Jo campaign, and the results are nothing but stunning.
Models Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn, who are BFF in real life and have nicknamed themselves the Jourlie, have teamed up with the renowned Italian brand for the new Liu Jo fall/winter 2016-17 campaign, right after appearing in the Liu Jo spring 2016 campaign.
We could rightly take Liu Jo Director Global Marketing & Communication Director Christian Sturniolo’s words and make them our own, since they perfectly describe what the duo and the Italian label can make out of a project when working together: “The realization of this campaign has been impeccable, Karlie and Jourdan talk about women, about their unique and spectacular values and their ability to give and want: throw the same message in different ways with their personal point of view in fashion and style”.
While the concept behind the spring 2016 campaign was focusing on a duo that completed each other like yin and yang, this time around the theme is translated to a broader audience, representing all the different personalities a woman may have. Although exuding Liu Jo’s signature femininity and elegance, the fall 2016 campaign focuses on contrasting styles that any woman should be able to channel according to the event she is about to attend, but also the mood she has.
For these reasons, we see Kloss and Dunn wearing the most representative pieces from the F/W 2016-17 Black Label line-up (which is Liu Jo’s primary collection). On the one hand, we see an uber-feminine floral mini dress with a sweetheart neckline and a pair of glam-rock biker boots, while on the other a motorcross-inspired outfit made of a studded biker jacket in a sleek material, and a black, sheer shirt. Nude makeup and super-straight hairstyles complete the looks, adding a rebellious touch to the entire campaign.
It will be also interesting to see Kloss and Dunn’s pictures for the brand’s upcoming campaigns they will represent, namely for the White Label and the Blue Denim collections. Those who are looking for a new pair of form-fitting jeans will be probably interested to know that Karlie Kloss will be sporting Liu Jo’s new jeans styles, the Amazing fit and Bottom Up bi-stretchy.
