Are you ready for one of the most exciting designer-makeup brand collaborations ever! Feast your eyes on the Lancôme X Proenza Schouler makeup collection in this video.
Lancôme’s Summer Swing 2017 makeup collection is full of sun-kissed looks and interesting tints. The collection is inspired by the bold styles prevalent at the summer festivals, and is available for purchase through Lancôme’s website, Sephora, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The creamy new metallic eyeshadow is packed full of pigment and shimmer and is gorgeous. The smooth formula allows for an even application that works well on multiple skin tones. Thankfully Lancôme is advertising their makeup on several different skin tones now. The tube is clear allowing for the shades inside to be seen in all of their shimmery glory. The bronzers, eyeliners and nail polish all seem summer perfect and ready to go.
Lancome Belle de Teint Mosaic Blush & Bronze Palette (Limited Edition) ($45.00)
The new blush and bronzer palette by Lancôme comes in two shades. Each of the duo palettes is perfect to create a bronzed look. The Mosaic palette has the perfect blend of bronzers, metallic and blush for a custom creation every time you apply it.
The Belle de Teint mosaic palette is the perfect accessory for a stunning summer sun-kissed look. All of the products are designed to be essentials for the upcoming summer festival season. Are you ready? If not, take a peek below to get what you need.
• 01 Patio Mediterraneen – peach and pink blush, light and medium toned bronzer
• 02 Patio D’une Nuit D’Ete – bright orange and pink blush, darker tones of bronzer
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge ($32.00)
These two universally flattering lipstick colors are the only permanent options in the collection, and we are happy about that, as the shades are subtle and feminine, perfect for wearing from day to night.
• 202 Nuit et Jour – beige peach
• 264 Peut Etre – bright pink
Lancome Le Metallique Liquid Eyeshadow (Limited Edition) ($29.00)
The metallic liquid eyeshadows are brightly pigmented to show brilliantly on all skin tones. The formula is unique providing excellent, bright color deposit and all-day wear that is comfortable and fabulous. The creamy smooth liquid eyeshadow is actually deceptively lightweight, even though the color spreads on smoothly and evenly.
• 01 Brise Azure – turquoise blue
• 03 Or Farniente – champagne gold
• 04 Bronze Rivage – copper bronze
• 05 Mocha Swing – taupe brown
Lancome Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner (Limited Edition) ($27.00)
The Le Stylo waterproof eyeliner will come in four completely new different summery colors, each with a blender tool on one end. The Le Stylo is an auto pencil that deposits rich smooth color in clean lines with each application.
The new shades will add in those limited edition summer metallic colors that we all really want to the vast number of shades offered by Lancôme currently. The eyeliner is long lasting and clean, providing a variety of options for those artistically minded MUAs to perform magic with.
• 01 Bronze Folie – light copper
• 06 Tempo Mediterraneen – deep ocean blue
• 07 Reflet Cobalt – cobalt blue
• 08 Bruns Frivole – metallic brown
Lancome Vernis in Love (Limited Edition) ($15.50)
The nail polish for Lancome’s Summer Swing 2017 collection introduces four new shades. The finish on the polish has a high shine thanks to the inclusion of White Mica Lamellas, which reflect natural light.
The formula includes a complex of multi polymers that creates a film for the nail color and works like a top coat, protecting the color and keeping the polish looking fresh. The application is designed to be easy and lasting based on not only the formula, but also the brush.
• 103 L’Espirit Libre – metallic azure blue
• 203 L’Echappee Belle – metallic green
• 303 Reflet D’Argent – silver-bronze shimmer

Big news in the makeup world – Parisian fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan is joining forces with Lancôme to create a makeup collection that is full of vintage glam and sexiness. The Olympia Le-Tan x Lancome makeup collection will be a limited edition offering that has already caused quite the stir in the fashion and makeup world.
Olympia Le-Tan is known for a fashion aesthetic that is at times quirky and always full of hints and touches of vintage beauty. She has exceptional use of distinct tones that she creates as the perfect outward aesthetic of original and interesting. To see how this will work with Lancôme is as exciting a prospect as attending any of her shows.
One of her most recent showings was a ready-to-wear collection for the fall/winter 2017 season and the inspiration for the collection was “Psycho” the 1960 Hitchcock classic. The theme wound through the collection in ways that were fun, eye-catching and interesting without being overbearing or losing the fun feel that her collections almost always have. Le-Tan is a woman of vision and interesting insight and I cannot wait to see the makeup reflect that.
Lancôme’s General Manager Françoise Lehmann is clearly a bit of a fan as she commented on the collaboration with the following statement. “Olympia Le-Tan designs combine poetry and joie de vivre. A bridge between different eras, they reflect the spirit of our time, celebrating the free and personal beauty of each woman—a take on happiness shared by Lancôme.”
These limited edition offerings are certain to be compelling, and the touch of retro glam is always appreciated. Though this is not by any means the first foray into a collaboration with a fashion designer for Lancôme, it is sure to create a lot of buzz and interest.
Prior to this collaboration there were collections created with Anthony Vaccarello, Alber Elbaz, Yiqin Ying, Alexandre Vauthier and, of course, the recent collection with Sonia Rykiel. But the collaboration between Lancôme and Olympia Le-Tan has a different taste to it and a different level of excitement that I am sure will surprise a lot of people.
Though the release dates range from spring through summer of 2017, we know we will be able to get the Olympia Le-Tan x Lancome makeup collection into our makeup bags very soon and fortunately the upcoming collection will be just as ‘sexy vintage and glamourous’ as Lancôme has been outright saying it will be.
I have no doubts with Olympia Le-Tan involved that the collection will have a multifaceted appeal and a real touch of old school glamour for the current world of makeup lovers to incorporate and play with as well.

We’ve been getting hyped up about the Lancôme Absolutely Rôse spring 2017 makeup collection ever since we caught wind of it with sneak previews at the beginning of November. It is scheduled to officially launch in the U.S. at Lancôme counters and online at Lancôme’s official website, Sephora, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue in January.
Regardless, there’s no better way to kick off a new year than by snagging up the hottest makeup collection of the year (so far). The most important part now is to make sure not to get too caught up in the beautiful spring makeup products in the Lancôme Absolutely Rôse line. We still have the winter and holiday makeup collections to try out first!
That being said, there’s no harm in taking a peek. So here is what you can expect for the new Lancôme spring 2017 makeup collection; it’s all centered around the rose, which has been an iconic symbol connected with the makeup brand since 1935.
Lancôme La Rose à Poudre Parisian Kabuki (Limited Edition)
This is a sparkling, illuminating powder – coming from Lancôme, you already know it’s going to be the perfect powder you need. Besides that, though, it’s the packaging that’s the real selling point here. It comes with a beautiful rose gold kabuki brush, and the powder comes directly out of rose petals, which is easily picked up by the brush. It’s fun and practical, which is everything you could dream of coming from the beauty industry!
Lancôme La Palette La Rose (Limited Edition)
This is a great everyday palette that contains six varying shades of eyeshadow, two lipsticks in rosy shades, and a creamy highlighter. The palette naturally contains a dual brush for application and a mirror as well. The eyeshadow shades are beautiful in this palette, because they give you such a nice range, such as its minty blue and charcoal options, with many more to mix and play around with.
Lancôme Le Crayon Miracle
Eye pencils are an essential addition to any woman’s makeup collection, and this one from the Lancôme collection will revitalize your makeup look and your outlook on the day. In the way it was made, you are meant to apply the product directly to your waterline (the formula is actually made up of concentrated vegetal origin butter, which ensures gentleness). It’s natural and will keep your skin healthy and glowing radiantly.
• Perlmutt – mother of pearl
Lancôme Cushion Blush Subtil
With cushion compacts having a moment now, the collection also brings in three shades of soft pink highlighters to brighten up your spring looks instantly!
• 00 Highlighter – highlighter
• 02 Rose Lemonade – soft lilac-pink

Lancôme Parisian Lips Le Stylo
This lip pen features dual sides so you can have two different finishing shades in one convenient applicator. There’s not much that needs to be said about this product, since just by looking at it you can imagine how lovely either of the rosy shades will look on!

• 02 Rose Mon Amour – lilac-pink
• 03 Je M’Appelle Rose – pale lilac
• 04 Rendez-Vous a Paris – peach-coral
Lancôme Juicy Shaker (Limited Edition)
This is one of Lancôme’s most popular products, so it would have been shocking had the brand not released some hot new rosy shades for us to fall in love with in their new collection. They’re so nice to have and carry around because they’re so versatile; you can add them to your lips or your face for a bit of extra hydration and color.
For the Lancôme Absolutely Rôse spring 2017 makeup collection, three new shades were announced, and hopefully they look as amazing in person as they do in the photos!
• 010 Snow-Tilly – shimmering snow-white

Lancome has really boosted the offering this year from case to product, as everything is beautifully done.
Lancome La Palettes Des Reves ($40.00) (Limited Edition)
Closed, La Palette Des Reves resembles a small gilded clutch, as the outside is covered beautifully only to be clicked open and reveal six beautiful smooth shades of color that range from a sparkling cream color to one reminiscent of roasted chestnuts. The palette is obviously very holiday inspired and includes a large square mirror and a mini eyeshadow brush. Several of the shades shimmer in the light before even being applied to the skin. With the right application and level of skill many different equally beautiful and dramatic looks can be obtained with this stunning palette of dreams.
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge ($32.00)
L’Absolu Rouge by Lancome for the 2016 holiday season is being offered in O Oui which is a very pink shade of lipstick and Rose, which is red and amusing as all Lancome lipsticks have a little rose in the fresh shape. Lancome likes the look of soft pink and classic red lipstick for the holidays.

The double ended eyeliner and highlighting pencil duo is a great two in one tool that comes in three different fabulous colors. While the highlighter is one standard color found on each of the three pencil duos, the other colors are a rich plum, a deep black and a nice brown. The colors are all beautiful and all ready to go together eliminating the search for that runaway highlight pencil. Both ends of the pencil are capped in gold.

Lancome Ombre Hypnose Wed & Dry Eyeshadows ($26.00) (Limited Edition)
Lancome is providing four different wet and dry eyeshadows with sponge applicators. A collaboration between French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel and Lancôme has been announced, right amid the artistic explosion that is Paris Fashion Week. The resulting line of makeup is said to be colorful, and will embody the bohemian and upbeat nature of France. According to Lancôme, it is “full of color, resolutely joyful with genuine freedom of tone inspired by the spirit of Saint-germain-des-Prés.” This is a similar spirit to what Rykiel’s last collection featured: a contained explosion of sophistication and color.
Neither party in this deal is new to the realm of collaborations. Lancôme has previously paired with other esteemed designers, while Rykiel once created a capsule collection in collaboration with H&M. And for executives at Lancôme, tapping Rykiel for a makeup line was practically a given.
“Sonia Rykiel is the ultimate incarnation of a certain idea of the Parisian,” began Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme’s managing director. “A woman who cultivates her joyfully emancipated freedom and refuses the imposed choice of depth or lightness, a woman who is simultaneously seductive and in love. It is the ‘Saint-Germain spirit’, the idea of happiness in one’s own image, actively constructed every day.”
In his rather drawn out, prose-like statement about the partnership with Rykiel, a lot was brought into words about the designer’s personality. Sometimes it is difficult to find the proper words to tell of a person’s characteristics, yet this relatively short dialogue sums everything up rather well in this case. But the admiration went both ways. Julie de Libran, artistic director of Sonia Rykiel, gave her insights on the partnership.
“In Lancôme I see the free and joyful Rykiel woman who makes her own choices,” she said. “A beauty that is sometimes natural, sometimes sophisticated, but never subjected to diktats. Our two houses share a modern vision of femininity which, I believe, is tangible for today’s women.”
Executives at Rykiel’s brand can see their clients wearing Lancôme, and Lancôme is overjoyed to work with such a joyful designer. Regardless of what direction the collaboration goes in, in terms of product choice or color palette, for example, women who love Rykiel or Lancôme will be glowing when this hits the shelves.
So it seems to be a consensus between the two partners that the two brands match up in terms of target consumer. And with the extent to which these brands seem to line up is sure to result in lovely cooperation, which could mean more collaborations later on down the road. Just keeping our sights set on this collaboration, however, it will be a five-month wait before the Sonia Rykiel x Lancôme makeup collection is released, as it is due to come out in August.

French cosmetics brand Lancôme is gaining ground again feeling like one spring makeup line is insufficient to meet all the whimsical requirements of its clientele thereby adding the second one.
