Kat Von D is one busy lady. In 2018, the beauty mogul got married, released an anniversary collection, announced her pregnancy, and dropped a number of iconic products. We’re only halfway through the year, and she is already hinting new releases. The gorgeous Von D had all of her fans and admirers going crazy when she shared a video of two new palettes. It’s all a part of the Fetish holiday line that you actually don’t have to wait for too long to snatch it from the shelves. These types of makeup collections usually drop sometime in August or early September, so all you need to do is start saving up.
Brides nowadays are far more ready to experiment than in the past. While most brides opt for traditional white gowns, there is a growing number of those who choose to wear other colors. Ivory, blush, and nude are among the most common colors of choice when the bride opts for something other than white. However, bold colors are in most cases off the menu for brides-to-be. For those who’d dare to wear something very different than a traditional bridal dress, Kat Von D is here to offer inspiration. The beauty mogul and tattoo artist tied the knot with the Prayers musician Rafael Reyes (a.k.a. Leafar Seyer) back in February. However, it seems that the couple needed some extra months to prepare their fabulous wedding. The theme of the wedding, as you would expect, was goth-inspired. On Saturday, the couple held an extravagant reception, where they seated in glamorous red thrones in front of guests among which former Jackass star, Bam Margera. They also exchanged matte-black bracelets that featured their names.
The bride ditched the traditional wedding colors and donned a stunning blood-red gown. The bespoke creation was a courtesy of Majesty Black. The glamorous red lace veil was designed by Adolfo Sanchez. The same designer custom created another red bridal gown for Kat’s wedding day, but she decided to wear the Majesty Black one and use the second gown for another upcoming project. In goth fashion, Kat topped her voluminous updo with a pair of red horns also designed by Majesty Black. The gown and the veil featured a mile-long train and Kat’s helpers were nothing like the adorable kids that usually carry the bride’s train. She had two figures dressed in head-to-toe red skin-tight latex catsuits. Their entire head was also covered in this shiny material without openings for the eyes. After they set her veil in place, the duo started dancing. From what we could see from the short video published on Instagram, the groom opted for an all-black outfit topped with a hat and black lace veil. The bridal bouquet consisted of three carnations, that according to the tattoo artist are Seyer’s favorite flowers. The three flowers represent Kat, her husband and the baby boy she’s expecting with him.
Last night was so magical but there seems to be some confusion so I wanted to post this to clear the air. @thekatvond had two red bridal gowns designed for her special day and she decided to pair the beautiful red gown and horns by @majestyblack with my red lace veil and use the red gown we created for another upcoming project. I don’t want to take away from what an amazing night it was and of course want to say congratulations to @prayers and @thekatvond on a beautiful wedding and @majestyblack on a beautiful gown everything was perfect! 🖤💄💍✨💫✨💫

The founder of Kat Von D Beauty stayed true to her beloved punk aesthetic when it comes to the makeup for her wedding day. She rocked a thick winged eyeliner over shimmery eyeshadow finished off with crimson red lipstick that matched her gown. The guests got a special gift from her makeup line. Her Kat Von D Beauty team created a special black lipstick with gold glitter for her wedding day. The lipstick won’t be available for sale, only those who attended the wedding got their hands on it.
How amazing is my @katvondbeauty team?! They made us our very own WEDDING LIPSTICK!! This one-of-a-kind black lipstick with large flecks of gold glitter will not be for sale – and instead will be given to each of our guests that are attending our wedding as a keepsake from @prayers and me. 🖤 Thank you @katvondbeauty family for making this for us! Each day we get new, exciting news from the beauty and fashion world about new launches. But there is no better thing than hearing that everyone’s favorite brands are invested in delivering quality products without harming animals or the environment. The latest brand to join the green club is Milk Makeup. The popular cosmetics company announced that from now on, all of their products will be 100% vegan.
Milk was launched in 2016, by Georgie Greville, who is now the brand’s director, Diana Ruth, chief operating officer and Zanna Roberts Rassi. Ever since the very beginning, the Insta popular makeup label has been cruelty-free. Milk’s three founders refused to test on animals from the very beginning. They also stayed away from harmful chemicals in their formulas. Parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, mineral oil, talc, sulfates, SLS, SLES are just some of those chemicals that everyone wants to avoid. In those terms, all of the label’s makeup was clean but still used animal-derived ingredients. Milk is also very popular for the fun, minimalist recyclable packaging.
Diana, Georgie, and Zanna decided to take a new step in the course of their brand, after doing a lot of research. Considering the fact, that all animal products can be substituted with vegan alternatives, Milk Makeup is now going 100% green. The fact that they will not be using any animal ingredients such as bee honey, lanolin, gelatin, collagen doesn’t mean that we will get products with a lower quality.
“When we started Milk Makeup, we all had young kids, which makes you hyper-aware of all the toxicity in the world. We wanted to use healthy ingredients that we felt great about, especially if our kids got their hands on the products.”-Georgie explained. ” While we’ve always been a majority-vegan line, the shift to 100% vegan is important to us because using animal byproducts is an unnecessary practice. There is no animal product or byproduct that doesn’t have a safe natural or synthetic alternative. These ingredients are questionable for your health and have no place on your face.”-Diana added.
The label is already using plant-derived alternatives such as mango butter, coconut oil avocado oil and more as substitutes. A number of cosmetics and fashion labels have already adopted the cruelty-free way of creating their products. Anyway, not many are ready to go 100 % vegan. Fortunately, things seem to be changing. Milk Makeup is joining the ranks of brands such as Kat Von D Beauty, Hourglass Cosmetics, Lush and more which are committed to delivering goodies made of natural, vegan constituents.

The news is officially out. Kat Von D is launching a collection to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her eponymous makeup brand. With this guru, every month is a holiday. She keeps dropping new, exciting releases and finds the most amazing ways to promote them. It’s not a surprise why every single makeup lover is going crazy over KVD Beauty’s products.
Kat took the news to Instagram, where she shared a promo video for the upcoming collection. For now, there is only a part of the video, but we expect to see much more in the following months. The makeup guru also added that the line will drop in May.
“For the past 4 months, I’ve been working so hard on this video for @katvondbeauty’s 10 Year Anniversary collection launch and it’s almost done being edited. I wanted to tell the story of @katvondbeauty through 10 of my modern-day muses. Some whom you may already know and others that you should! These 10 muses have blessed me with so much inspiration, not just for their surface beauty but with what they contribute to the world through their art. AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO MEET THESE MUSES AND SEE THE FULL VIDEO SOON! 🖤 [this campaign + makeup collection is launching on @katvondbeauty this May!]”.

For the campaign, the makeup artist chose 10 of her biggest muses. The queen of teasers gives a sneak peek of what’s soon to come, and judging from it, the collection is going to be epic. First, her muse’s face is completely covered in liquid glitter, then she bathes in golden liquid sparkle. So, this must be a cue that we should expect plenty of sparkly launches including highlighters, glitter eyeshadows and more.
Believe it or not, Kat first hinted about the 10-year anniversary collection eight months ago. The makeup artist shared a video on her Instagram account with drawings that will appear on an exclusive train case. According to Von D, her drawings will be covering the limited-edition case, that will be decorated with a golden hardware. The inner part will be done in fierce red, so you can keep all your favorite KVD makeup products in the case.
Just finalized the artwork I drew for the makeup train-case I'm designing for @katvondbeauty. This is the top view of the case where the handle will sit. This special case will have my drawings wrapped around the entire case and enclosed with all gold hardware – and of course, a lush all-red interior to store all your makeup/art supplies in. 🖤 And yes, we are only making a limited number of these special cases and will be launching within our upcoming 10 year anniversary collection. #comingsoon #drawsomething #graphite #dibujo 🖤 [song: "we have a map of the piano" by múm]

Two months later, Kat shared another one of her goth-inspired drawings. This one will be a part of an eyeshadow palette from the 10-year anniversary collection, and will probably decorate the outer packaging. So far, that’s all we know, but knowing Von D, there’ll be plenty of teasers until May.
Kat Von D is no stranger to designing. As a tattoo artist, she always designs the packaging for her makeup products. Now the beauty mogul is adding another creative role to her resume, more precisely a shoe designer. Kat Von D is a huge animal activist and her entire makeup line is vegan. In the same fashion, the new shoe line will be 100% cruelty-free and vegan. The luxe shoe line will offer high-quality products at relatively affordable prices. Not Payless affordable, as Von D noted, but still, but she is trying to keep the prices as affordable as possible.
As a vegan, Kat Von D understands that the market has pretty limited offerings when it comes to high-quality vegan shoes. So, she wanted to have everybody included.
“I know how hard it is to find high-quality shoes with a style that aren’t made from animal leather, fur, or use glues derived from horses+cows, and that you can afford,” she wrote on Instagram back in August, when she first announced the launch of her shoe line.
The beauty mogul traveled to Florence, Italy to look for innovative sustainable ways of production. The shoes may look like they are made of leather, but that’s just an illusion. Kat managed to find cruelty-free ways to produce shoes “that will last you a lifetime and will make your feet look+feel beautiful,” as she claims. She used leather substitutes that are made out of mushroom and pineapple in the production of the shoes. According to Kat, these sustainable materials are gentle to the environment and “look equal to, if not better, than leather.”
Just like her makeup brand, Kat Von D is making the shoe line super-inclusive. Von D Shoes come in 28 styles with a size range that goes from 5 to 12. The styles are in goth aesthetic and include sky-high red and black heels, flats, sneakers, boots, sandals, creepers, slip-on shoes, winkle-pickers as well as furry moon boots. As expected, some of Kat Von D shoes feature unique details such as bone-decal accents and built-in lipstick holder. Part of the shoe styles are unisex which makes the line even more inclusive.
Kat Von D still hasn’t revealed an official launch date for her vegan shoe line. Anyway, she hinted that we should expect Von D shoes to drop this year. Having in mind that the shoe line is inclusive, unique and vegan, we expect Kat to become a big name in the vegan shoe industry just like she is in the beauty business.
