Minimally entitled Edition 01 – Winter 2016, Goop’s first-ever fragrance is exclusively available at Goop.com, both as an eau de parfum (which retails at $165) and as a scented candle ($72). Although both Paltrow and Goop’s headquarters released very few statements regarding the news, we do know that Paltrow’s plan is launching a scent each season, with the next one actually already being scheduled for the upcoming spring 2017.
“I’ve always had a wardrobe of fragrances, and I like changing fragrance, so I wanted to do one each for season,” she told Vogue UK.
Described by Paltrow as “a perfume of cypress smoke, snow, sensual quiet”, Goop Edition 01- Winter 2016 is basically an ode to winter, and is entirely made of non-toxic essences and ingredients. The scent evokes “coziness, that warming quality in winter of being beside a crackling fire,” continued the actress, model and designer.
While Goop’s eau de parfum features natural sugar cane alcohol at its base, the scented candle is made from soya wax, a sustainable choice that is very dear to Gwyneth Paltrow not only for eco-friendly reasons. Aside from keeping up with her healthy regimen and lifestyle, Paltrow wanted to create something that her daughter could wear on a daily basis as well, if she wanted to.
“We want to create fragrance that isn’t harmful, especially to our daughters who are growing and developing and I think we really all deserve that,” she told People Magazine at an N.Y.C. launch for the scent. “That’s what we’re trying to do. […] This is an area where I’m still in education mode, but she’s very into makeup, YouTube tutorials, and conventional makeup. That is one of the reasons why I want to do this even more.”
Those who not only are in love with Goop’s all-natural ingredients, but love its aesthetics too, will the find Edition 01 – Winter 2016 packaging extremely appealing, as both the candle and the eau de parfum’s jar exude Gwyneth Paltrow’s appeal for minimalism.
“I am such a fragrance girl,” she concluded. “I love [fragrance] so much, and I think it’s so transportive and powerful and it can take you back in time, it can take you forward in time to dreams of your life, and I just think it’s amazing.”

Since Goop was initially launched out of Gwyneth Paltrow‘s kitchen in the fall of 2008, many things have changed. Originally meant to be a weekly e-mail newsletter, it will be soon possible to literally put on Paltrow’s lifestyle brand Goop all over our bodies, as the actress has just hit the headlines announcing an upcoming Goop clothing line that’s, of course, all about organic fabrics and fair-trade. While we probably still have to wait for a few months to know what kind of organic and sustainable materials she is going to use to create her staples (as far as we know she still has to reveal all the details about the line), Paltrow did set a launch date for her fashion line, and it’s sooner than you expect — in September.
The American actress began teasing her social media followers about the forthcoming Goop fashion line since October last year, leaving many wondering whether such a thing was even ever going to happen or not. “I’ve been working on apparel — apparel is next. In September, we’re going to launch apparel, and it’s very exciting,” she told Racked.
Besides revealing that Goop would officially add ‘fashion’ to its already big collection of organic goodies, Paltrow did not add any further information on what the target audience and price tags was going to be (though we bet any kind of Goop organic staple will not be that affordable, as much as not so affordable are Paltrow’s infamous smoothies), and what category of clothing it would cover (will there be separate sections for men and women? Is it going to be genderless? Is there going to be any sort of children’s fashion department?). What many are expecting to see, however, is that the Goop clothing line will be all about Gwyneth Paltrow’s signature style, namely striped long-sleeved shirts, boyfriend jeans, cozy knits and, of course, elegant blazers.
Given the fact that Goop regularly collaborates with influential designers to create one-of-a-kind (yet quite expensive) capsule collections, it will be interesting to see whether its brand new clothing line will be entirely designed by Paltrow herself or the award-winning actress will ask someone famous in the fashion industry for help. What we know for sure, though, is that Goop has been having a slow rollout recently, yet still going through steady transformation process that took its headquarters to work even harder and create more ways to direct people towards their website, creating content and new appealing products to sell.
“We’re very, very hard at work at Goop. We are doing a lot. As my CEO always [asks] me, ‘Please, can we stop doing so much?” continued Paltrow, implicitly suggesting that there’s something more brewing at the Goop’s headquarters.

We mentioned a short while back that one particular celebrity was working on bringing to life a new business project, in partnership with Juice Beauty, bringing organic skincare products to the retailers around town. We have always believed that the gorgeous actress who barely seems to age, time forgetting to have its effects on her, can do it all. We have not yet been disappointed. Apparently she can create some incredibly useful products as well, something that is necessary in this day and age, as chemicals are dumped out and the natural is utilized to its fullest potential. Gwyneth Paltrow newly launched a beauty line actually, and has decided that Goop fashion needs proper skincare as well.
The collaboration with Juice Beauty includes six products, all made out of organic ingredients and made to emulate the effects of a chemical based version, without the side effects that might accompany it. The line includes a face oil of course, along with an exfoliating face mask that we simply cannot live without, a cleanser, an eye cream, a daily moisturizer for your skin –particularly now that it is winter, this will come in very handy – and a night cream that is labelled to be replenishing.
Natural ingredients are backed into every bottle, including vitamin E, jojoba ester, shea butter, cocoa butter, as well as juices from lemons, apples and grapes. The idea is to keep things as organic as possible, meaning that at the moment its 99% assurance is quite the achievement. All products are also thus non-toxic and safe even if accidentally ingested.
“This is body food,” explains Paltrow to Vogue as she recounts the reasons behind coming up with the latest line. “We absorb 60 to 80 percent of what we put on our skin, so the idea that you’re exercising and trying to eat well and then slathering yourself with chemicals, parabens, and silicones — it’s not great.” So if we take that fact into consideration, Paltrow is doing us all a favor by turning the very things we use on a daily basis into something that even a child would enjoy playing with.
How much should we expect to pay for these 99% organic products within Gwyneth Paltrow’s skincare line? According to the prices we have found quotes to, put aside at least $80 and up to $140 for each bottle to get your hands on once it becomes available on March 1st, 2016. It will be available on Paltrow’s Goop website and is to feature some rather clean packaging styles, featuring black and white coloring and a design with the letter G on it. We can easily see how that can mean both Goop and Gwyneth Paltrow. At the end of the day though, the world is a better place because of activists like Paltrow, who strive to give themselves and the rest of humanity an alternative to the synthetic and cheaper pieces that we have gotten used to over the past many years.

There is a new cosmetics line on the market – Juice Beauty, and it appear that the one heading the new creation is none other than Gwyneth Kate Paltrow, the American actress, singer and food writer who pioneered the Goop Cleanse. She is very good at all that she does, constantly in the media for one reason or another, and well known for many films, over 40 of them really, including Shakespeare in Love, the Iron Man films, Seven, Emma and so many more. The 43-year-old superstar literally shines bright like a diamond, especially when she has her hair straightened, minimal makeup on eyes and bright red lips.
One of the biggest industries in the world is the cosmetics one, a subset to fashion, health and beauty, and also the biggest to attract negative attention of late as the artificial ingredients in the makeup we use have come under attack for the health risks. People are moving towards using organic more and more, which effectively has given rise to a whole new business venture.
Gwyneth Paltrow teams up with entrepreneur Karen Behnke as they launch their own organic certified makeup line under the Juice Beauty brand. The reasons behind this are simple: people use makeup all the time and the effects on hormones and the spurring on of premature aging is atrocious when you stop to think about it. Even actresses in the business of using so much of the products are unaware of the potential damage makeup with artificial ingredients can cause.
“I wear makeup heavily in my work,” she explains. “And now that I’m post-40, I’ve started to wear it more often in my day-to-day life. But once my lifestyle website, Goop, started investigating toxicity in these products… I was stunned. I genuinely thought makeup was safe, but that’s not the case.”
Paltrow took a stake in the Juice Beauty brand earlier in 2015, an organic skin care product company, but it seemed to lack color, the one thing that Paltrow herself thrives in. The founder of the company, Karen Behnke, was more than willing to work on the color concepts with Paltrow herself when the celebrity stepped in as creative director of makeup. Now, there is a collection of 78 pieces launched on Monday through the company mediums, as well as Ulta.
The work was hard but it has been rewarding, since the idea was not just to surpass natural products but to create the feel of that, which we get from a chemical infused piece, only with the organic materials. It may not be 100% organic at this point, but it comes very close with over 70%. Still, there are many challenges: expenses, finding flowers of the exact same color, etc. They had to replace the hold provided by the petroleum, all that made a mascara (the coal tar, animal glues and keratin) and meet the same level that the chemical ingredients were at. It worked though and apparently pine resin and argan husks do prove to be quite effective.
From what we can see, Gwyneth Paltrow’s cosmetics line includes serum fluid foundations that provide some skin care benefits in 10 shades, liquid lipsticks, regular bullet lipsticks, lip gloss, blush, pressed powder, lip crayons, eye shadow sticks, eye pencils, concealers and even a range of makeup brushes. Prices range from $22 for an eye pencil to $42 for foundation. We are thinking that is a good price range and mostly rather affordable. Plus, if it’s organic, it is most certainly worth the buy.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have discovered the secret to staying always young and beautiful, so no wonder she is often associated with GOOP and healthy eating. Now the 39-year-old actress has been selected as the face of the new Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme perfume. She will appear in TV, print and online ad campaigns for the German brand’s scent scheduled for August 2012. As for now, a behind-the-scenes image has been leaked alongside the legendary house’s announcement of the collaboration.
