“To collaborate with a brand like Off-White allows Jimmy Choo to explore a new avenue and take part in a different conversation. I love to mix it up by getting together with a different creative mind identifying our synergies and combining our DNA to create a beautiful and surprising collection with unexpected links to the roots of our brand.”- said Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director.
The collection merges the minimalistic streetwear vibes from Off-White and the trademark luxury silhouettes from Jimmy Choo. In other words, the designs satisfy the needs of both elegant and edgy ladies at the same time. It was first previewed during the brand’s SS 2018 runway show when everyone had a chance to get a sneak peek of the line. Since then, celebrities such as Rihanna flaunted the unique boots and stilettos on several occasions, which made fans even more eager to get their hands on the collection.
Transparent plastic and PVC are officially the top trending materials for 2018. So why not get a pair of high heels that feature all of that plus striking embellishment or fancy straps. It’s already been months since the preview at Paris Fashion Week, but the two brands are releasing the collection just in time for spring. There are also several pairs of chic boots, decorated with ruched fabric or plastic. The most striking designs are the high-heeled pumps wrapped in plastic.
Virgil’s inspiration was the style icon Princess Diana. The designer paid homage to her contributions to the fashion world with the Spring 2018 collection, as well as with this footwear collaboration. Diana was also a huge fan of Jimmy Choo and never missed an opportunity to wear the brand’s stunning stilettos.

The two brands also collaborated with Selfridges, on a pop-up that will be opened until March 18. As expected, these stunning designs cost a tiny fortune. In the official pictures, you will see the two ladies in a dominant role over Berrett. Their collection is meant to inspire and empower ladies from around the world. In one of the shots, everyone is dressed in white from head to toes. Kate is flaunting a pair of embellished Fringe Dust sandals, while Gigi is wearing the Iris mules. This is Hadid’s favorite pair in the collection.
The second photo is completely different, with a strong grunge vibe. The models are wearing all-black outfits and the chic Expert moto boots. Kate’s favorite design from Weitzman is the black over-the-knee boots named Reserve Classic, which she’s had for over five years.
Gigi gushed on Instagram over her first experience with such a legend. The older Hadid sister shared several behind-the-scenes moments with her all-time inspiration.
“I had the great honor and pleasure of shooting the new @stuartweitzman campaign with the one and only Kate. @katemossagency, I had the greatest time with you, and am forever touched by your spirit and presence. The shots were taken by the iconic Mario Testino, who often collaborates with the shoe brand. Stuart Weitzman has a long history of tapping ultra-popular models for their campaigns. Gigi became the brand’s ambassador back in 2016. Moss, on the other hand, is a veteran, she’s been with the brand since 2012. Aside from these two beauties, Gisele and Natalia Vodianova represented the shoe company in the past.
Hadid designed her first collection with Weitzman in November 2017. Her EYELOVE line was a huge success and set up a new trend, so now everyone is obsessed with mules. The full Spring 2018 collection by Stuart Weitzman is already available for pre-order online at stuartweitzman.com.
Christian Louboutin and Disney teamed up for an exclusive collection that celebrates the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”. This marks the third collaboration between the shoe master and Disney. In 2012, they released the “Cinderella” slipper and later in 2014 the “Maleficent” heels.
“[Disney and ‘Star Wars’] are very, very strong at developing characters. I have the same thing when I’m designing shoes. I often think of a character, so in a way for me, it totally makes sense to work around the character because that’s basically what I do.” Louboutin also added that his “Star Wars designs are a take on the characters from the movie, but also made for the actress.”
The shoe collection is one-of-a-kind and specially designed for the official movie premiere. It features four designs, each one inspired by the lead female characters of the Star Wars saga. As an addition to those four, Christian will also present another showpiece. They will make an official debut on Saturday in Los Angeles during the world premiere of “The Last Jedi”.
The special design is a result of the collaboration with Industrial Light and Magic, a company founded by the creator of the sci-fi franchise George Lucas. Louboutin didn’t reveal many details about the secret masterpiece. All we know is that it will involve holographic lightning effects and the six-inch Ballerina Ultima heel. During the premiere two Praetorian Guards will be taking care of the “Spaceship” exclusive shoe.
Daisy Ridley’s shoe dubbed “The Rey” is a perfect interpretation of her character. The shoe master made sure to include several elements that strongly remind of her costume. There is a frontal strap made of PVC that portrays her Jedi Powers. The brown leather ankle strap, on the other hand, comes from the cross-body harness. Christian focused most of the attention on the heel and gave it a blue iridescent shine, like a lightsaber. According to him, a good heel is woman’s biggest weapon.
The next one is Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo’s shoe, played by Laura Dern. Comes in a shimmery burgundy shade that matches her long cape. Rose Tico’s character inspired a golden statement sandal, that shows her “engineering-driven” character. Kelly Marie Tran plays the role of Rose in the movie. And last but not least, Gwendoline Christie will have the honors to wear Captain Phasma’s shoes. They are the most dramatic design in the collection, in a metallic silver shade with a curved heel. There is one detail that connects all of these designs. Louboutin designed a jewel stone that represents the Tie Fighter Spaceship.
All of the five designs will sell at an auction for a charitable cause. The designs are available on charitybuzz.com/StarWars starting from today until December 20. Once the premiere is over, the “Spaceship” style will be added as well. Starlight Children’s Foundation will benefit from the sales of the Christian Louboutin x Disney Star Wars Collaboration.
Carrie Bradshaw is unarguably the first name that pops up in our mind when it comes to fictional shopaholics. The lady who made Carrie Bradshaw so insanely lovable, Sarah Jessica Parker got in the role of a shoe designer a few years ago. Her signature footwear label SJP serves some fancy shoe realness to all fashion obsessives around the globe. Parker perfectly understands the mindset of a shoecoholic, naturally because she is one. Just in time for Black Friday the actress opened her first ever New York pop-up store. Parker chose a central location in the heart of midtown at Fifth Avenue and 52nd Street.
“I have a sentimental attachment to this street, actually, because when I played Annie on Broadway, it was right down the street! And Billy Joel has this album called 52nd Street that I love,” Sarah explains the story behind the location to Vogue.
The SJP pop-up store is a dream come true for the brand’s die-hard fans. There is a wall covered in stiletto illustrations custom created by Eric Hughes of Wallshoppe. This pattern is also on onto the shopping bags and the iPhone cases of Sarah’s limited edition collection. The Instagrammable wall is already a sensation on Instagram. Parker claimed that she has already received requests from fans to purchase the wallpaper. She kept the rest of the space simple but chic. The other walls are in the brand’s signature blush-toned pink color. The furniture comes from several vintage shops and Etsy.
The SJP pop-up store has the brand’s bestselling shoe styles as well as new exclusive shoe designs on display. The actress-turned-designer made sure to offer something for everybody. From trending flats and sneakers to chic high heels, Parker got you covered on shoes. Sarah Jessica Parker also brought her chic bags in store as well as the cult little black dress. The insanely chic pop-up got the attention of many loyal fans of the shoe brand. According to Vogue, there was a growing crowd outside even 48 hours before the scheduled open date.
The most exciting thing about the SJP New York pop-up store is that the actress herself will get in a role of a sales associate. Parker revealed that she will be at the pop-up most of the time, helping her loyal customers to upgrade their shoe closet. The pop-up store is open for 10 days, from November 24 to December 3. Sarah Jessica Parker promised to offer a party for the foot, so be there if you want to treat your feet and get a face-to-face consultation with the fashion legend herself.
