When Namibian Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo announced a coming-soon collaboration with Juicy Couture, everybody was instantly thrilled to see the results. After almost 5 months of wait, the Behati Prinsloo for Juicy Couture collection for spring 2016 is finally here, and will very likely represent a turning point for the American label, which has been facing decreasing sales for the past few years and has begun rejuvenating and renovating itself since earlier last year.
Although only available from April 15, we can, however, begin browsing through the collection’s campaign, shot by the artistic duo Inez and Vinoodh. Actually, Prisloo began teasing us earlier, exclusively posting two of the campaign’s images on her official Instagram account on Tuesday. Spoiler Alert: the Hashtag #babes will probably soon become a trending topic. “My @juicycouture line coming out soon 4.15.16 #BehatiXJuicyCouture so excited about this.⚡️ Shot by @inezandvinoodh styled by @carlynecerfdedudzeele #babes.”
Soon-to-be mom Prinsloo (she announced her first pregnancy with husband Adam Levine earlier this month), who has worked with Juicy Couture for years as an ambassador and spokesmodel, knows what Juicy Couture’s audience likes and appreciates about fashion, and has for this reason opted for harmoniously combining the label’s hallmarks with her very own, personal and kind of free-spirited taste. As a result, the Behati Prisloo x Juicy Couture capsule collection could be regarded as an über-feminine casual line with a slightly athleisure twist and some chill Californian vibes (speaking of being eclectic).
“Juicy Couture is so iconic so I wanted to bring a little bit of something different to the brand while still remaining true to who they are. This collection is really for any active girl who wants to throw on an outfit that’s comfy yet cute. I travel so much so I wanted to create pieces that were really comfy but with a fashionable twist. I was inspired by the vibes and colours from Seventies roller-skate and skateboard culture – just stuff that’s really fun and easy;” Prinsloo told Teen Vogue.
Behati’s rocker-inspired style definitely is the collection’s main protagonist, as it turns out to be the reason behind all those crop-tops, track suits, denim jackets and gym shorts coming in relaxed lines and bright colors. While most of the crop-tops feature bold graphics, the majority of the velour pullovers, short shorts and joggers alternate a black textured fabric with multi-colored elastic bands.
As for the campaign’s pictures, all of Prinsloo’s dynamic poses really set up some healthy standards that will easily make anyone have the desire to work out at least twice a week, looking up to the model’s confident attitude and toned figure as a daily motivational inspiration. When it comes to the prices, on the other hand, the collection cannot be described as one of the cheapest, with the velour hoodies costing $188, the long pants $158, the bombers retailing for $268, the denim duster for $348 and the short shorts for $188. It will, however, hopefully help the brand rise from the ashes of its glorious past.

It is definitely the year of the Victoria’s Secret models, who are slowly taking over the fashion advertisement world. The collaboration of Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo is just another proof of the statement, as the astonishing duo teamed up once again, this time for the Juicy Couture spring 2016 campaign. Captured by Dutch photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the blonde beauties sport the colorful and glitzy Juicy Couture looks from Black Label’s spring 2016 lineup, which includes casual dresses, sporty looks, cozy rompers and bohemian prints. With the creative director of the campaign being Roi Elfassy, hair styled by Garren and makeup done by Dick Page, one would expect nothing but wonderful results.
Full of joie de vivre, Swanepoel and Prinsloo had fun shooting the campaign’s video too, but beware! Their on-camera chemistry could be almost addictive. Their free-spirited contribution to the campaign also perfectly embodies any Juicy Couture girl, whose passion for adventure and thrill of travelling finds a good ally throughout the collection’s versatile and wearable proposals. Swanepoel and Prinsloo accentuate such feelings, making us just want to pack up everything and travel randomly the world.
The collection’s essentials also remind us that travelling in solo is always a good idea, as long as we put patience and initiative in our luggage too. After some troubled years, Juicy Couture’s cosmopolitan adventure has just officially started and is ready to literally conquer world, and featuring both Prinsloo and Swanepoel for an advertisement campaign is just the perfect way to prove it.
Regarding the collection and the campaign, Roi Elfassy recently stated how well perceived the label has been all around the world, and how proud he is about Juicy Couture’s willingness to expand its horizons. Working with two pairs of dynamic duos hasn’t been that hard for Elfassy either, who is more than thrilled about the results.
Targeting mainly the young, the Juicy Couture spring 2016 campaign is overwhelmed with colors, prints and patterns that may at times seem way too much to some of you, who give more preference to relaxed and toned down looks. On the other hand, the collection is a perfect source of inspiration for ditching all the winter blues and stepping into the new season looking cheerful, careless and pretty casual. Unleash the bold girl inside you, going for watercolor patterns, cheeky florals, matching yellow with pink, reds and crimson shades, different shades of blue, while sticking to glitzy metallic golden when it comes to the footwear!
Seeing Juicy Couture evolve and improve itself has really been a pleasure for us all so far, and we can’t wait to see what the label has in store for the future.

The Caribbean is burning with heat and if you happen to sail by any of the islands right now, you will notice the steam rising from the beaches. The cause? It’s our favorite and hottest Behati Prinsloo, featured in the new Tommy Hilfiger spring/summer 2016 ad campaign.
We all love Prinsloo (Who doesn’t? She’s adorable!), and we also love Tommy Hilfiger (no doubts there)… but when our favorite brands make weird choices, there must be someone to voice those strange nuances. Sure, I’ll take up the role, pass the mic.
My question is addressed to the creative stuff, who came up with the wonderful idea of leaving one of the most popular models of our time with four guys on an island. How is that going to make me or your customer want to buy the collection? While the video is fun and charming, it surely doesn’t convince me that I will end up on a Caribbean island with four male models right after buying a piece. Don’t get me wrong, you guys were all sweet and handsome… but sometimes there is just too much testosterone on an island with only one lady.
And although most of you would watch the video lightly and then forget about it, I happened to study it too closely. We could have expected subtler marketing methods to motivate the customer.
And if you don’t believe me and the strangeness I find in the video, take a look at the slogan of the campaign – “Wish you were here.” If you’re a guy, would you like to be on the island with Behati Prinsloo and… wait for it… four other guys? And not just guys, male models, who are trained to look irresistible!
Same question to our female readers. Would you want to be on an island with four irresistible male models, who are chasing after one of the sexiest models in the world?
The reason why many would find this ad weird is the amount of “sexiness” and cheesy “temptation” that is used in the ad. We’ve seen hundreds of ads like this, and even if the quality of the image is much better, or the actors are world famous, the message is still the same. Maybe a powerful brand like Tommy Hilfiger could come up with a new concept we haven’t seen so far… or that wouldn’t look like a sort of a bait for needy people to us.
The Tommy Hilfiger spring 2016 campaign was captured by the photographer Craig McDean, who we know for far more breathtaking works. That’s OK Craig, we’ll gladly let this one pass.
Despite all this, we still appreciate that you sent us backstage photos (we love these!). A few of the other things we loved about the campaign (see, we’re not all negative) are the music that is perfect for setting the mood, as well as the collection itself.
The prints are so in tune with the upcoming season trends; get your piece and go wild on the beach like there is no tomorrow. But we’re sure that you’ve already planned that without our help. Enjoy your vacation and always enjoy wearing the one and only Tommy Hilfiger.

Behati Prinsloo seems to really like being a fashion designer. After designing a fancy capsule collection with Juicy Couture, she has just tried her hand at jewelry design, creating a (literally) one-of-a-kind piece, namely a wisdom tooth necklace. The 26-year-old Victoria’s Secret model, who also tied the knot with Adam Levine in 2014, decided to keep a lifelong memory of one of her wisdom teeth, dipping it into gold and using it as a charm.
It surely may sound like a kind of unconventional and unbelievable choice, but Prinsloo indeed just made a necklace out of her wisdom tooth, captioning the results on her Instagram account: “I dipped my wisdom in gold #boom.”
The process took place just a few days before her Victoria’s Secrets Fashion Show 2015 appearance, which saw the Namibian model rocking the catwalk with a radiant and fierce attitude. Probably none of her 2.6 million followers expected Prinsloo to turn what made her suffer severe pain during this summer into a piece of jewelry. Back in August, in fact, the Victoria’s Secret Angel shared a video of her post wisdom tooth removal surgery, which featured the suffering young woman singing I Can’t Feell My Face by The Weeknd (who also happened to be one of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’s most acclaimed performers). As if we needed one more reason to love the blonde beauty!
Anyways, we don’t know whether Prinsloo will decide to turn her wisdom tooth piece of jewelry into a business or not, however, it appears clear that she is taking her first steps into the world of jewelry design. She is hence following in some of her predecessors’ footsteps, paving the way for an alternative future career.
Although many supermodels still walk down the catwalk in their 30s or 40s (such as Naomi Campbell), more and more models are already thinking about their next professional steps even before the phone calls and the castings become scarce. Others, whose career is definitely not even remotely about to wind down, decide to step back and focus on their family or other interests (such as Gisele Bundchen).
Turning into fashion designers or at least collaborating with fast-fashion companies is an option more and more young models are taking into consideration. Besides Behati Prinsloo’s recent partnership with Juicy Couture, we have in these past few years already admired Lily Aldridge’s efforts with Graham & Spencer, Kate Moss’ efforts with Topshop and Cara Delevingne’s collab with DKNY.
While such capsule collections seem to be the ultimate trend, there are even some models, who take a step further creating their own clothing or jewelry lines (such as Polish Magdalena Frackowiak). Is Behati Prinsloo willing to spread her unique point of view on the fashion industry any time soon? We just have to wait and see.

It’s been a year full of changes for Juicy Couture and, apparently, the brand is not going to stop rejuvenating itself any time soon. It has been recently revealed that for the first time ever since the ABG group acquired the brand last year Juicy Couture will be teaming up with Behati Prinsloo for an upcoming capsule collection that she’ll co-design with the brand.
The Namibian model, who became the face of the Victoria’s Secret sub-brand Pink in 2008, and then finally a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2009, has already had a chance to work with Juicy Couture before. The statuesque beauty has previously acted as the ‘I am Juicy Couture’ fragrance brand ambassador, a role she won’t quit now. Such a role made her effortlessly embody Juicy Couture’s fresh approach to fashion, which is going to play a major role within this capsule collection’s designs. In this upcoming year she will thus be working on this thrilling partnership, while still keeping on being Juicy Couture’s brand ambassador.
Set to arrive in stores in April 2016, the Behati Prinsloo x Juicy Couture capsule collection is said to include a series of unique pieces inspired by the Seventies skateboard culture, which left an indelible mark on America’s cultural and fashion identity. Juicy Couture’s style, which is more like a mixture of bon ton lines and casual pieces including bomber jackets, slip-on sandals, Bermuda shorts and graphic tees, will thus undergo a major makeover. Such a capsule collection will also capture Prisloo’s off-duty style and ride the crest of the athleisure wave, which will soon hit the fashion industry seaside.
Prinsloo explained her choice of the designs for her capsule collection stating that: “Juicy Couture is so iconic so I wanted to bring a little bit of something different to the brand while still remaining true to who they are. This collection is really for any active girl who wants to throw on an outfit that’s comfy yet cute.”
Juicy Couture’s headquarters also seem to be totally at ease with Prisloo’s casual travel-wear style, and can’t actually wait to see the results: “We are thrilled to combine forces with Behati Prinsloo on this special capsule. […] Behati Prinsloo epitomizes the effortlessly cool LA attitude of the Juicy ‘it girl’. Her design sensibility combined with a tremendous global following make her the perfect ambassador for Juicy Couture.”
Moreover, the Behati Prinsloo for Juicy Couture capsule collation will be a part of Juicy Couture’s 21st anniversary celebration. If you are looking for some perfect outfits for a weekend outing, maybe even accompanied by some surfing experiences and fresh cocktails by the beach in Southern California, make sure not to miss Prinsloo’s creations!

When there is a story in fashion, it must be told right away. Looking at Tommy Hilfiger’s “I Do” campaign, I need you to dive into the story, rather than the dresses and accessories. Let’s be honest, everyone likes a good story, even if that story has been out for the whole year! No, we haven’t missed it! It’s just that now the beautiful garments from this story will be available in stores, and every one of you – the romantic shoppers and music fans – can step in and purchase their pieces. It all started when SHE met HIM. Well, maybe it was on the day of the photoshoot, as she, the famous South African model Behati Prinsloo has already given her hand to the Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine, but this romance-on-screen works its magic too.
The perfect day starts! The guests are arriving – no less fashionable and cool than the happy couple – the venue is great, there are some blazer buttons untying themselves, and not that we mind it. There is even the perfect soundtrack, not the classic waltz but the rock ‘n’ roll tune to get you and your guests ready for a wedding they’ll all enjoy and tell their kids about. Admit it, you want a rock ‘n’ roll wedding too! And you’d better hurry, as the summer is passing by.
We definitely appreciate Tommy Hilfiger’s choice of a short bridal dress – we all secretly want it, because it looks so chic and comfortable at the same time. So, if you’re the crazy fun-loving music fan that could easily be spotted in this exclusive video (if only you knew about the casting in time), ask your next bridal consultant to offer you a short dress. There are 2 ways it can go; you’ll either love it or hate it. We love the look on Prinsloo, so go ahead and try it for yourself. If that doesn’t work, there are longer options too.
Same goes for the shoes, no high heels and socks at a rock ‘n’ roll wedding. Your dad can wear the snickers and start liking the groom. Place your bet on minimal accessories (the male side seems to like those more) and just dance your shoes off! And even if everyone’s pants go down at the end of the evening, there’s nothing to worry about if their shorts are still up and they are from Tommy Hilfiger. The groom, in contrast with the cool bride, has slightly stayed in the classic trend proving that even a classic jacket can be thrown up like a rock guitar!
Maybe this is just the hopeless romantic speaking in me, but Tommy Hilfiger should go for a real couple next time. I’m more than convinced that Adam Levine would have done the job just as perfectly (and maybe even more, he has the experience). Despite everything, these 28 seconds have been an entire love story with a happy ending, so there is nothing else left to say than… Oh Tommy, of course I DO!
