Victoria by Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2013-2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week
No matter it’s winter or summer, classic elegance and a perfectly polished style always look chic and trendy. After presenting the minimalist and fabulous Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection during New York Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham makes us fall in love with her impeccable style sense even deeper by bringing her secondary collection. And yes, the Victoria by Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection is also a nice embodiment of the designer’s signature simplistic style, awesome tailoring and femininity.
While her first collection was paying tribute to the swinging sixties style and British tailoring, the Victoria by Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection brings subtle masculine touches that blend well with femininity resulting into super-sophisticated and classy looks. She took some men’s suits and created stunning wool vests and structured sexy dresses from them that came matched with crisp white shirts. Still the dresses were adjusted to the models’ figures by using belts on the waists.
The Victoria by Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection brings autumn-ready colors, including grays, blacks, burgundy, rust and deep navy tones. The clothes come to be monochrome and simplistic with just few polka dots used and fabulous prints of a girl. A high attention to the details is instantly noticed.
Dresses are the key pieces of the Victoria by Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. They are more like top-and-skirt combos than overalls until you could see the long zippers on the back. As Victoria stated backstage, “Get in, zip up and go.” Other than the dresses, the collection brings oversized sweatshirts, pleated skirts and skinny jeans styled with warm knitted hats and elegant high-heeled boots. The show was closed in a bit party mood with sequined dresses shining on the runway.
