Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2013-2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week
If there is one thing that we never get tired of and, moreover, that we always long for, that’s the charming, modest and feminine style of Victoria Beckham. After all, she wouldn’t have been one of the most stylish celebrities, who inspire millions of fashionisers in the world. And the fact that the Beckham family has moved back to London has definitely had a great impact on the newest Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection demonstrated during New York Fashion Week. Her stunning fall collection was composed of beautiful English heritage fabrics, which she worked into much looser and roomier clothing pieces, trying to create something different from her signature bodycon dresses.
“I really feel like I have pushed myself,” Victoria stated backstage before her show. Just an hour after the show, she hurried up to explain her collection style on Facebook, writing: “Combining enhanced volumes with new restrained outlines has allowed me to push my silhouette even further. For me, it is the application of a refined quality within a mannish modernity that has proved to be such an exciting part of the design process this season.” She added more texture to pony hair and played with an amazing color palette, including cobalt blues, navy blues, grays, blacks, vibrant yellows and browns.
The newest Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection is minimalist, perfectly polished and sexy, attributes that define the signature Victoria Beckham style. There was a nod to the swinging sixties style, Savile Row tweed, plaid and herringbone and YSL-inspired smoking dresses. The collection brought gorgeous coats blending gray-and-blue plaid with blue pony hair, shift dresses, belted tuxedo dresses and, of course, tight cocktail dresses.
While the applause of the audience and her fans’ opinion really matter a lot for Victoria, certainly the most important verdict is the one from her hubby. Immediately after the show, David gave his appraisal to the Victoria Beckham fall/winter 2013-2014 collection by naming it “Unbelievably sexy.”
