Vera Wang Spring/Summer 2013 RTW – New York Fashion Week
The world of fashion would definitely be a poorer place without the gorgeous Vera Wang evening dresses. The designer unveiled her stunning spring collection at New York Fashion Week, showing a more darkly romantic vision for the warm days to come with a kaleidoscope of breathtaking designs that were beautifully ornate, but never overwhelming. A play of textures, volume and print was present throughout the Vera Wang spring/summer 2013 collection, but it never deprived the garments from their wearability. Ethereal, dreamy, romantic, elegant and ultra-feminine, each of the pieces demonstrated showed a close attention to details and revealed the designer’s brilliant craftsmanship.
The Vera Wang spring/summer 2013 fashion show started with a range of crisp white looks that consisted of full skirts and fitted jackets. Then, the lace dresses came like a fresh air, showing a beautiful play of cobalt blue, emerald green, fuchsia, lemon and black tones. The designer took the languid lines, unexpected embellishments and boyish undercurrent that she loves so much and translated them into body-conscious designs, which isn’t that typical of her signature style.
For her new spring collection, Vera looked to India for inspiration and brought it out through white cottons, rich embellishments and romantic moody tones. The looks were finished off with golden toned pumps, and the makeup was more natural and beautiful. The models had messy updos that were perfectly in tone with the overall ethereal mood. The lace dresses were undoubtedly the stars of the collection and they will definitely by worn by Hollywood ladies of all ages!
