The Billboard Music Awards 2017’s Biggest Style Moments
This Sunday at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and the rapper Ludacris hosted the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The show was full of breathtaking performances and we didn’t miss the chance to spot the best dressed celebrities on The Billboard Music Awards’ pink carpet. Singers, presenters and other honored attendees are known for their edgy and daring style that couldn’t be spotted on any other events. Opposite of the princess style that we had a chance to see at the Cannes Film festival, the world of music has no rules and boundries. We could witness both mesmerizing glamorous gowns and jaw-dropping unconventional outfits.
Take a look at the Billboard Music Awards 2017’s biggest fashion statements.
Vanessa hosted the 2017 Billboard Music Awards and she didn’t take any chances with her outfit. The talented actress and singer literally shined in the pale pink silk gown by Marchesa. The dress featured big bow ties that wrapped Vanessa’s toned body like a present for us to feast our eyes on. She completed the look with ultra-stylish metallic silver heeled sandals. Vanessa went light on jewelry, wearing only a ring and discreet silver stone earrings.
Celine Dion stole the show twice yesterday. First, when she appeared on the Billboard Music Awards 2017’s red carpet with her astonishing white gown that featured exaggerated shoulders. Second, when she brought everyone back in time with her emotional performance of “My heart will go on” in honor of the cult movie’s 20th anniversary. The gown by Stephane Rolland raised the standards for red carpet glamor.
The charming singer and former member of the group Fifth Harmony stunned in a red lace dress by Jonathan Simkhai. When you pair a Cuban girl with a fire-red gown the result must be out of this world! Camila went minimal on jewelry and other details because the dress made a strong statement by itself.
The young actress, singer, and model looked sharp in a midi lace dress by David Koma. The see-through dress revealed just enough of her curvy body. Opposite of the red carpet habit to pair a dress with elegant heels, Hailee made a daring choice and complimented the lace dress with black over-the-knee suede boots.
The famous rapper wasn’t afraid to take a risk. He paired his dreadlocks with an elegant green tuxedo with satin details. The suede black mocassins were a perfect addition to the whole story. The only mainstream moment in his outfit was the white shirt paired with a black bowtie.
John is a true legend when it comes to dressing for the red carpet. This time he killed it with a windowpane check dark blue suit. John was dressed in Gucci from head to toe. The haute couture fashion house didn’t miss the chance to indicate that he was wearing their creation. A giant animal head was embroidered on the back of John’s suit. Lastly, the colored details and the solid gold letters on his shoes were screaming Gucci.
Visible thongs definitely became the red carpet’s best friends. Rita Ora was another celebrity who decided to wear a thong and a see-through dress. She stated that the main inspiration for the outfit was the 71-year-old goddess of pop Cher who amazed everyone with her incredibly hot body spotted on the Billboard Music Awards’ stage. The creation by the Italian designer Francesco Scognamiglio featured a conservative white crystal embellished top and a sheer ultra-sexy skirt with lace details that revealed Rita’s peachy backside.
Ty Dolla Sign
Rappers are seriously taking over the best-dressed on the red carpet lists lately. Ty Dolla Sign made an unbeatable fashion statement with his daring outfit. His look was all about the contrast. Ty Dolla Sign paired the white suit with black pants that featured chain detail together with a white ripped blouse and dressy shiny shoes.
The British actress shined at the Billboard Music Awards 2017 in a sheer gown by Zuhair Murad. Surprisingly, the dress featured multicolored fireworks. The interesting details complimented the plunging neckline and the dress’s train. The unexpected pattern is not very characteristic for the red carpet, neither for the designer, but the artistic audience of the Billboard Music Awards always likes great surprises.
Lea Michele took the sheer trend to another level with a black gown by David Koma. The dress was on the edgier side, featuring an unusual neckline with spaghetti straps and many tiny cut-outs with a sheer effect.
