Among our favourite 2016 fashion collections revealed of late is the Roberto Cavalli resort 2016 collection that has us thinking exotic meets sexy all over again. With nature and the world around us serving as the major inspiration for the designer label, we see some rather intriguing works by the new creative director Peter Dundas, who is expected to show off his first line for the brand in regards to the spring and summer 2016 seasons come September. At the moment, however, we see colorful birds and pretty leaves, printed on sleek tuxedos and given a very feminine touch with the delicate silk blouses and positively gentle attitude, the bolder laser cut golden leather pants offering a major contrast, particularly due to its fringe. We have to admit, there is something extremely cowboy-sy about it all that is both appealing and at time wacky for the senses. Of course, we have to have the shirt and boot versions of that as well, meaning golden leather with fringe can be worn top to bottom and mixed and matched with whatever else you have in that closet of yours.
Throughout the collection, we see midi skirts folded in on the fabric, long tops and plunging necklines. We see mini hemmed dresses with open backs that have spinal tattoos added for extra effect, the pieces in itself with golden embellished leaves sewn over translucent black material. We are not surprised to see dresses that fall to the ground in sheer lace designs, particularly with glittering paillettes all around, a black pair of panties worn underneath so as to cover the privates. In the meantime, add gorgeous dresses that have flowing material and incredible coloring to the mix so that you really feel like 2015 is truly melding into the upcoming year, even if we are 6 months ahead of schedule. Though, since there is at least one piece that can serve as a wedding number, it might due to get down to shopping this early for your upcoming nuptials.
Perhaps one of our favourite looks is the blazer and pants combination with birds perched all over, a long sleeved translucent blouse worn underneath without a bra, keeping this light and natural, in tune with the environment around the woman. Those birds perched on branches with pretty leaves also find themselves embroidered onto denim shirts, adding to the appeal by appearing along the back and around the elbows of the pieces. Flared end ankle crop jeans also love to have these designs shown off beautifully, feet clad in copper hued leather lookalike. Ruffled sleeves and ruffled shirts appear a dime a dozen, while the whole 1970s meets olden Southern style movies comes in full force. The brand holds a special love for maxi skirts and dresses, including macramé column style, oversized A-line designs and sexy chiffon that really makes you reconsider your dietary options. Who needs beach clothes when covering up can cause the blood to boil much better these days?
