Pepe Jeans Spring/Summer 2015 Campaign

The brainchild of Nitin, Arun and Milan Shah, the denim and casual wear label known as Pepe Jeans London was born in 1973, in London and is now headquartered in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Spain. The tiny market stall has grown immensely and nothing makes that fact more apparent than having the world renowned supermodel Cara Delevingne show off the latest in Pepe Jeans spring/summer 2015 collection. Though that’s to be expected since supermodels do have a tendency to advertise the jean label, starting from Kate Moss’ first campaign ever, back in the late 1980s. There have even been two songs made to advertise the brand, from T’Pau singing “Heart and Soul” to The Smiths’ “How Soon is Now?”

For Cara Delevingne, this is her third season as the face for this rather intriguing denim company that has gone from a single stall at Kensington market and Portobello Road Market to a $500 million fashion giant. The Pepe Jeans spring/summer 2015 campaign seems to have fun made as its base, with a statue and some water fountains joining in the photoshoot, wherein the model herself is accompanies by two dashing men in designer pieces. The campaign’s called “Made for Mischief” and the kids definitely get up to some funky business while Cara Delevingne screams into a shoe, pretending it’s a phone, called for Pepe, Pepe Jeans!

Showing off the midriff is in and of course our darling model is clad in a low waist tied pair of jeans with a wide legged fit and elastics at the end to keep it tight against the ankles. Add a bandeau over the chest and a funky street jacket to finish off the look and we’ve got a hip-hop dancer who is flanked by sexy skateboarders running the show. Wild hair and little makeup is the key to making this fiercely attractive getup all the more captivating to the regular young audience.

Larger sunglasses with a slight cat-eye pull at the ends look amazing on most faces, which is why Cara Delevingne has stolen them off the statue! Plus, that denim shirt with the emblazoned varsity letter is enough to scream jock’s wife, while the accessories in general stick out loud and clear. The Pepe Jeans spring/summer 2015 collection also includes earrings and watches, the latter of which have larger, bold-faced designs and metal linked bands. Rings worn on the pinkie finger are also in style and Pepe Jeans is certainly capitalizing on the market. Now, it’s all about wearing multiple rings on each hand.

We’ve been laughing at all of Cara Delevingne’s antics with the statues and under the water. We’ve also noticed that the general sets offered in this collection include bandeau or crop tops that end high on the chest, just under the bust, with low waist denim shorts or pants and matching denim jackets. Wild hair, makeup focused on the eyes and lots of skin shown in the middle of it all is how the trends for Pepe Jeans are organized. We do love it all, and certainly enjoy seeing mini shorts under crop tops, as we get ready for some awesome beach weather. Short sleeves or long sleeves, those jackets are a common theme, while the brand doesn’t fail to also include denim overalls to finish off the effect.
