Oscar de la Renta Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week
When you are Oscar de la Renta, masculine fashion also looks uber-feminine, elegant and refined! The newest Oscar de la Renta fall/winter 2014-2015 collection showcased on the sixth day of New York Fashion Week fall 2014 is the proof of this! Actually, the line had both of them, some masculine vibes brought forwards thanks to the classic suiting patterns and the tailoring, as well as feminine elegance celebrated by the array of pencil skirts with flared hems and some spectacular red-carpet worthy gowns!
The Oscar de la Renta fall/winter 2014-2015 collection show started with the androgynous motifs that were injected with a high dose of ladylike allure thanks to the shapes and the cuts chosen. Thus, you could see some striking pant and skirt suits featuring men suiting patterns, a tuxedo dress and then even a long jacket in the same style. All these looks were presented in the dark gray-black color palette, however, sometimes there were some cobalt blue tones used too.
As we look further, we discover the leather trend, being presented as a skirt with a flared hemline and wide-legged classic pants. As the show started to develop, models came out wearing interesting printed dresses in the black and white color palette, a pair of refined high-waisted tailored black pants worn with a delicate see-through guipure blouse with floral appliqués, an oxblood velvet dress worn under a mohair coat in red, also crochet skirts and dresses in jewel tones.
The charm of the Oscar de la Renta fall/winter 2014-2015 collection doesn’t stop here, as we later discover some uber-breathtaking floral printed feminine dresses, beaded, fringed, furry and jacquard glamorous evening dresses in all the lengths and styles possible. They were so ethereal thanks to the transparency inserts, sophisticated lace and appliqués used. The show was summarized with the signature Oscar de la Renta princess gowns and the breathtaking strapless dresses with lots of frills.
The black pixie cuts of the models and the sensual smokey eye makeup complemented the impressive looks at Oscar de la Renta, together with the killer shoes and jewelry pieces. Here every single details was carefully thought over and the result is the bewitching allure the Oscar de la Renta fall/winter 2014-2015 collection radiated on the runway!
