Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Milan Fashion Week
You don’t really expect much flashiness from a German fashion house; indeed, you wait for more femininity, classiness and subtle delicacy combined in creative shapes, crops and outlines. This is what you see in the Jil Sander spring/summer 2014 collection unveiled during Milan Fashion Week. The sensitive exactness in elegance and linings make the collection a very classy one.
The talented fashioner modestly wrote on one of her program notes “the powerful beauty of random assemblage”, though on the backstage she talked less romantically claiming that it’s a modern woman and they have gone a little bit eclectic for the upcoming season. The new character of the show is definitely very trendy and modern; she is also sophisticated, original and a bit strict.
The simple cotton and luxurious silk materials emphasize the business motive of the Jil Sander spring/summer 2014 collection. You can surely leave a nice impression of a very successful and independent lady, the most wanted girlfriend of the neighborhood. The apparels are excellent to appear in high-class public, visit museums, theatres or hang out with the girls in an aristocratic French café.
The main colors of the collection are the elegant black and white, neutral creamy and relaxing navy. There are also some creative colorful looks that can be perfect to wear to cocktail parties. Some apparels have a futuristic touch of unlimited imagination and innovative artistry. Such a look is the navy cute tight skirt with the stiff cropped top that gives the model an original Avatar vibe.
The designer starts the show with a pair of white stylish pants and a cropped jacket. To complete the look she adds an elegant black belt. This look is perfectly fitted for a nice Parisian walk around the luxurious places of the city.
The simple silk dress with a hot neckline slashed to the wait is beautiful, chic and just stunning. You can even see some feathers and black and white prints on the stylish dresses.
Well, what the Jil Sander spring/summer 2014 collection says is that Germans can be great artists with an amazing understanding and surprising sense of delicate and graceful taste.
