What Bershka Has In Store This Fall
An Urban-chic allure with some Native American reminiscences is what the fast-fashion brand Bershka has in store this fall and winter 2015-2016, as seen by its newest and extremely interesting lookbook. Playing in the zone of a reserved autumnal palette comprising mainly dark shades, including the timeless black, the Spanish retailer is treating us to a big dose of romance offering versatile and personality-filled pieces with a distinctive boho-chic vibe.
Part of the notorious Inditex group, which also own Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Oysho and Stradivarius, the popular Spanish retailer may be regarded as the younger-looking, edgy and fancier son of the group, and is so far one of its most profitable brands (Bershka has in fact over 1000 stores in 71 countries and its sales represent 10% of the group). No one should therefore find himself/herself surprised to see how excited people are to discover Bershka’s new clothing lines, especially during the holidays.
While for its fall/winter 2015-2016 collection Bershka revealed some cool denim looks that include fresh fashion trends, such as jeans with the destroyed effect, diversity in pattern designs and long, fitted, denim shirts, this holiday lookbook has a totally different attitude. At the same time, however, both the collection and the new lookbook seem to be part of a coherent continuum thanks to some cool boyish cuts and high waist jeans used for styling some of these looks as well. For this holiday collection the brand chooses to show a more cosmopolitan line, which takes the boyfriend cuts to a more urban-chic level.
Among key items of the lookbook such as the cool leather jackets updated with some silver studs and boho-chic patterns, the collection also features a pair of wild-west fringe boots and a big black hat, while at the same time mastering its skills with the Native American poncho look. Geometrically designed waistcoats, shirts and skirts add a more delicate boho-chic allure to the lookbook, giving us a taste of what Bershka’s collection is all about: attention to details.
Each piece is in fact carefully personalized with a great amount of studs, sequins embroideries and fringes. When it comes to the accessorizing details, ethnic silver rings with big gemstones and geometric patterns seem to be the collection’s must-haves, and perfectly match the lookbook’s Native American main theme.
It is also interesting to notice that the new Bershka winter 2015-2016 lookbook features a plethora of all-black looks, at times interrupted with colorful patterns, which could be seen as the brand’s attempt to give its audience some more mysterious and sensual looks. Subtle ethnic motifs and Victorian accents spice up the monochrome pieces, while layering and playing with textures can be another fun way of creating dazzling looks.
Although Bershka has always been famous for providing a great variety of youthful, street-style casual looks, it has undeniably been more adults-oriented recently. We don’t know Bershka’s future yet but, as the years go by, it appears clear that the Spanish brand is trying to win a bigger, and more mature audience.
