BCBG Max Azria Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week
Max Azria’s name is well-known to those, who are more or less familiar with the fashion world where Mr. Azria is by no means a novice. During all the years he has been in fashion industry, Max Azria has dressed such celebrities as Sarah Hyland, Fergie, Jessica Holmes, Jessie Schram, Kristen Stewart, Camilla Belle and many others. Being born in Tunisia, he has managed to combine the American practicality with the European sophistication through his exceptional fashion style, which we have been admiring for a while now.
If we had to choose one word to describe BCBG (which stands for bon chic, bon genre) Max Azria spring/summer 2015 collection, we probably would not find a better word than the word “feminine”. The collection was a pure delight for the eyes of those romantics, who love subtle, sensual color tones and soft floral prints and patterns. So many must-haves! We would love to wear every single one of them! There was nothing masculine or aggressive about the entire collection. The looks were fragile and delicate, but at the same time they were quite luxurious. The hairstyles were pretty simple as well and the makeup was kept to the minimum, which can be seen as a way to put the main focus on the outfits, don’t you think? The color palette featured mild tones such as beige, coral, peach and crème.
At the beginning of the BCBG Max Azria spring/summer 2015 collection show the models appeared on the runway wearing light colored low V cut silk maxi dresses combined with peep-toe platforms and leather bags of the same color tone, loose sundresses with straps and pockets, structured jackets with skirts that fell below knees, long white shorts combined with blouses with crossed straps up front and around the neckline and jumpsuits with soft floral prints. Wide thick belts made of shimmery fabric were a lovely addition to almost all of the looks accentuating the slim waists of the models. The floral patterns revolved around soft, pleasant color tones such as light pink, maroon, orange and blue. The contrast created by the combination of stripes around the front part of the dresses and floral patterns around the skirt were absolutely gorgeous.
Light baby blue maxi dresses with skirts starting below hips and crème colored sleeveless dresses with layers added a touch of innocent femininity to the entire BCBG Max Azria spring/summer 2015 collection. The last part of the show saw probably the most romantic of all the dresses the designer had ever presented to us. Baby blue and pale pink chiffon dresses combined with light pink belts summed up the whole essence of the collection for us: simple and feminine, yet elegant and desirable. We are more than happy that this time as well Mr. Azria did not fail to remind us why we love fashion so much!
