British model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely is now brand ambassador for UGG Australia. The announcement, made just on Friday, is a monumental venture for the brand, as Huntington-Whitely marks the first official brand ambassador. To kick things off, the blonde stunner will be featured in UGG’s fall/winter 2016 campaign, which can be expected in August. The campaign will feature the basic and most notable product from the brand: their boots.
You either love UGGs or you hate them – you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone in between – but it is undeniable that the brand has taken the world by storm, and the first thing to come to mind would be the classic UGG boot, a look that you’ll see everywhere in any school, shopping center, or anywhere else for that matter. Having a brand ambassador, especially one so personable and memorable as Huntington-Whitely, can really help to connect a brand to its consumers.
Until the UGG fall 2016 campaign photos with Rosie are released, we can take the time to enjoy the press photos that accompanied this announcement. In the pictures you will find the model being vibrant in UGG’s footwear, surrounded by flowers of pink, purple, and white. The photoshoot took place at the Daylesford Organic Farm, so the flowers were extraordinarily lovely in the natural setting. The natural beauty of Huntington-Whitely played well in this setting, and showed the model in a down-to-earth setting. The photos were shot both in a greenhouse and in a lush green segment of grass, with the brand’s name created from lovely flowers. The latter was the most striking photo in the set, although each frame had its own beauty and personality.
Huntington-Whitely is loving her new position, and in a statement expressed her gratitude to the brand, and went into a bit about her past with the footwear. “It’s an honor to be partnering with a global brand that is loved as much as UGG,” she began. “When I started modeling, one of the first things I ever purchased was a pair of classic boots, as comfort to me is everything. The updated classic offers the same immediate comfort, but now with an edgier, street style appeal that can be worn indoors or out.”
Huntington-Whitely is a great canvas for all of the new styles UGG Australia has and will come out with, as well as the classic boot, and she, nor anyone else, can deny that the brand provides a great deal of comfort, which is actually rather unique in the industry! So we shall see where the model goes with her new position.
