Golden Globes 2015 Best Dressed Celebrities
The 72nd Golden Globe Awards kicked off with a bang last night as the New Year was officially greeted with the shiniest stars walking down that Red Carpet and only the best walking out with a prize in their arms. It matters not that the ceremony itself was about the film industry, nominating the finest forms of artistry and talent, whether in the form of Best Actress or Best Director, Best Drama or Best Foreign Film; what matters most is how the stars looked, how they acted, how they stood on stage and received their awards for their hard work and insurmountable abilities. What matters is the designers that dressed the lovely ladies and the dashing men who took to the stage, proud of their achievements. As such, it’s only prudent to point out some of the most breathtaking, outlandish, utterly extraordinary Golden Globes 2015 celebrity looks that sashayed their way into the ceremony, leaving the rest of the world gaping behind.
Emma Stone at Golden Globes 2015
We love the way Emma Stone dresses, acts and carries herself in public. We are probably still staring in awe at how simply perfect her jumpsuit by Lanvin really is, utterly envious of the breathtaking manner by which the strapless garment envelops the body to show off soft curves and a chic attitude. Emma Stone can surely do no wrong, as that attire of hers is killer! The satin side bow alone is enough to bring out the fun and flirty from this cool and chic, while the silver lace brings the attention to the chest area, allowing for the rest of the fabric to elongate those legs and the little black shoes to really amplify her femininity. Stunning. Without a doubt, Emma Stone was probably the best dressed on the red carpet at Golden Globes 2015.
Diane Kruger at Golden Globes 2015
Looking positively magnificent in her classy Emilia Wickstead dress, Diane Kruger ensured every inch of her shapely body was captured in a glittering silver silhouette, appearing as a snow queen among the crowd. Her diamond jewellery did much to enhance her charm, while her rather unique block of a clutch certainly drew much in terms of attention from those watching the red carpet. In other words, Kruger looked positively divine, complete with fashionably styled hair and makeup that brought out her natural beauty. Here, she is simply the diamond shining bright as she enjoys a night full of cheer and awards.
Amal Clooney at Golden Globes 2015
If we were hungering for a classic Dior gown, we certainly were in for a very pleasant surprise as Amal Clooney stepped onto that red carpet with her flowing train, her white opera gloves and her glittering Harry Winston jewellery that dangled from her ears. A lovely side part and tastefully tousled hairdo really allowed the focus to drop to that long black dress that has a rather keen toga feel to it, while ensuring a modern stylish design. An activist with a passion for more than doing good, it seems, and she simply glowed during the Golden Globes Awards 2015.
Sienna Miller at Golden Globes 2015
There’s something really charming about Sienna Miller, and her sense of dress certainly does much to add to her overall image of sultry sweet. Her Miu Miu gown with Jimmy Choo heels captured the attention of many an onlooker, though for so much skin shown at the top, the lower part of the dress seemed a little on the heavy side. We’re looking at amazing embroidery and handwork here though, and the deep V plunge combined with the open back does wonders to ramp up the sultry, while the longer hemline and heavier brocade is reminiscent of sweetly demure ladies of older times. Miller’s definitely rocking the look though, and the Tiffany & Co. jewellery is the perfect touch to add glitter to the southern charm.
Jennifer Aniston at Golden Globes 2015
It’s all about the really high slits this season and Jennifer Aniston is certainly not afraid of showing off those shapely legs of hers as she walks down the carpet in a sequined black Saint Laurent gown, with cinched waist and strappy sandals to match. Simple jewellery, simple makeup and a simple updo all help bring the gaze to the gown itself, while the halter top region really adds to the classic look she shows off. Aniston is a long-time favourite for many and the Friends star will forever be a classic beauty.
Julianne Moore at Golden Globes 2015
If you thought the holidays were over, you truly thought wrong. It appears that Julianne Moore is the very walking, talking reminder that the New Year was just newly celebrated 2 weeks ago and that we still have reason to be wearing stunning dresses that glitter and sparkle and show off our figure as a glove does dainty hands. We’re also enjoying continuing with all the fluff and tinsel that marks the holiday celebrations and Julianne Moore’s Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci proves that a woman can look holiday ready any time of the year so long as she shines bright like a star. Ad a reflective clutch and some Chopard jewellery to the mix and you have a rather intriguing look. The striking redhead certainly knows how to turn heads in a crowd.
Felicity Jones at Golden Globes 2015
Dior appeared multiple times during the night in the magnificent gowns worn by the stars of Hollywood, but Felicity Jones was most definitely one of the best dressed in the mix. The turtleneck and the lovely teal hue looked great on her pale skin, a true princess as she made her appearance known. Side bangs and hair strictly pulled back, the attention was on the dress and the eyes, with their smoky look and piercing attention. Felicity Jones looked truly lovely last night and that is one gorgeous gown that brings the focus to the chest with its artistic strategic pleat folds.
Lupita Nyong’o at Golden Globes 2015
Spring is in the air and Lupita Nyong’o is certainly the talk of the ball, with her flowery purple and white dress sweeping down the red carpet. With her gorgeous skin tone, this gorgeous woman can pull off near any color, while the dress she wore last night by Giambattista Valli is certainly one to covet for any evening wardrobe collection. Accessorized with Chopard as the master behind the jewellery pieces worn, Nyong’o took our breath away. Where most went darker on their looks, she really brought out the warm spring feel.
Kate Hudson at Golden Globes 2015
Few words can describe how incredible Kate Hudson looked in her form-hugging Versace gown. It simply renders one speechless looking at how the actress seems to shine brightly, her look tasteful, her style impeccable. The flowing train balances out the cut-out design with the stringy sides, while the halter top helps elongate her shapely body even more. The jewels are delicate, simply and simply add to the bright look that this angelic outfit inspires.
Claire Danes at Golden Globes 2015
Claire Danes has certainly grown up and is a rather spunky woman with a style of her own these days. She does well with her Valentino Couture gown, a rather rebellious gypsy look among so many of the night’s sophisticated and polished designs. Danes’ more folk tradition prints are definitely an attention catcher, while the deep V plunge is mystified with a translucent black mesh for optimal effect. Her large blue earrings also add to the look, making her one of the most interesting women to appear at the ceremony.
Dakota Johnson at Golden Globes 2015
One of the most magnificent stars to glitter their way into the 2015 Golden Globes ceremony was most certainly Dakota Johnson, with her strapless silver gown by Chanel that puts the milky way to shame with the amount of bright stars sparkling with each step taken. The long train and high center slit are definitely in with the 2015 trends, while those shapely legs were clad in Jimmy Choo sandals that matched the dress perfectly. Center parted bangs added to the aesthetic of it all, while beautifully styles waves fell over one shoulder and cascaded down her back. In essence, she looked positively stunning.
Leslie Mann at Golden Globes 2015
It’s nice to see the softer tones of spring also make their way into the wardrobes of the stars and Leslie Mann’s exquisite piece by Kimberly McDonald is no exception to this. The form-fitting strapless canary yellow floor length gown was definitely a jaw dropper in a sweet Southern way, while the darker nail polish provided great contrast and the green accessories made the yellow pop out even more. Dangling earring and a little gold-rimmed clutch was all that was needed to turn this lovely maid into an exquisite flower. The golden pieces of jewellery certainly added a more subtle touch, with the bangle bracelets worn with such dainty decorum. Another 2015 trend was also sported, with the lovely red lips showing off a beautiful smile for all to see. Brings to mind the song, “You’re my sunshine after the rain…”
Behati Prinsloo at Golden Globes 2015
Magnificent doesn’t begin to cut it when we are talking about Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo and the dress in which she appeared on the red carpet last night, dazzling every last attendant with her beauty. Sporting the trending crop top with its twin matching high waist skirt covering most of her midriff and spanning down to the floor, this beauty certainly made headlines as she appeared in her signature seductive confidence showing off that body she works so hard to maintain. The eye candy on her arm only added to her overall appeal.
Michelle Monaghan at Golden Globes 2015
Looking rather simple but absolutely pretty in a spaghetti strapped Jason Wu dress, Michelle Monaghan looks like the night sky, taking well to the slanted stripes and dotted prints and showing off a more natural beauty. Her piercing blue eyes are icy, while the rest of her appears warm; her lashes shaded dark while her lips are given a simpler, more natural hue to accentuate the look. Monaghan looks fresh, without all the extra feathers and modern trends taken into account. Instead, she has more of an innocent lady’s look about her that definitely adds to her charm.
Allison Williams at Golden Globes 2015
There’s something to be said about wearing red in January, or February or any other month of the year, but so close to the holidays, it’s doubly attractive. A full evening gown by Armani Prive in generous folds and lots of sequins definitely does its job in garnering attention to the gorgeous woman wearing the strapless outfit. There may be just a tad too much in the layering, but the color suits Williams’ complexion and the retro hair with boldly lined eyes most definitely accentuates her natural features, balancing out the look. A bit more of a smile and she’s look dazzling!
Katie Holmes at Golden Globes 2015
Katie Holmes looked positively regal as we witnessed the long-haired beauty glide down the red carpet. With her strapless eggplant purple Marchesa gown drawn the headlines towards her, we can clearly appreciate the delicate features that have been left mostly unadorned, leaving the gown to make the statement for her. Going with the year’s major trend of bold eyes and mostly bare faces, Holmes certainly knows how to play up her looks and look fashionable perfect in equal stride. The purple does wonders for her skin tone, shining beautifully bright.
Jennifer Lopez at Golden Globes 2015
J.Lo doesn’t age. She simply does not show any evidence that she is about 20 years older than she was when I first saw her on the screen and then fell in love with her upon seeing her play Selena in 1997. She looks as gorgeous as ever and last night she was turning heads with her interesting choice of a Zuhair Murad gown. She had the high center slit, the cape and the flowing long sleeves that in ancient times were proof of one’s wealth and status in society. Of course, we can certainly say that our darling J.Lo is probably one of the wealthiest and most entitled stars currently in Hollywood, but her flaunting those facts was not a common thing; at least until last night. She looks sexy, and she looks divine and that dress suits the famous singer/actress more than it would suit any other woman from the looks of it.
Catherine Zeta-Jones at Golden Globes 2015
While J.Lo shows little evidence of aging, Catherine Zeta-Jones certainly has come a long way and is following the biological clock with impeccable nobility. She looks as graceful as ever, as beautiful as she ever was; she just shows the fact that she’s no longer as young as her Mask of Zorro days. We’re pretty sure she can still kick some villain behind with perfection, though! Her scarlet strapless gown certainly brings the delicate lady she often acted as to mind, though we are sure she is no less a lady in reality. The full A-line dress flatters her very well and allows us to reminisce about those Spanish tango scenes with the devil in a black mask. She looked stunning then and she is every bit as marvellous now.
Katherine Heigl at Golden Globes 2015
Blues were not seen so often on the red carpet at Golden Globes 2015, but the cool color does well for Katherine Heigl’s complexion, while the Zac Posen gown itself flatters her every curve with impeccable style. The eyes wander to the waist with the stitching drawing the focus to the center of the body, while the lower neckline shows off abundance in chest an the flared mermaid look certainly gives the look a more sophisticated yet classy edge. Side-swept hair in gorgeous curls looks great with the minimalistic makeup, all that which honestly has one looking back at this beautiful actress time and again.
Heidi Klum at Golden Globes 2015
Red strappy sandals and a gorgeous single shoulder red sequin dress by Versace looked spectacular on Heidi Klum, wherein the long train and center slit did an amazing job of bringing the focus to shapely legs under all that fabric. Side-swept retro Hollywood hair, combined with red lips that is most certainly trending this year, and Klum’s the center of attention for any looking for the perfect evening dress. It screams February and Valentine’s Day rather loudly, while it was indeed the perfect choice for the Golden Globes 2015 Awards ceremony.
Amy Adams at Golden Globes 2015
A more perfect dress count not have been chosen by Amy Adams who appeared at the ceremony in a breathtaking blue hued Versace gown, complete with Tiffany and Co. Accessories. The color brought out her eyes and accented her flawless skin, while the actual silhouette of the single shoulder garment did much to flatter her generous figure, bringing her best features to the forefront. In other words, Amy Adams looked simply perfect.
