Bella Hadid Is The New Dior Makeup Brand Ambassador

19-year old beauty Bella Hadid is about to literally and figuratively walk down many catwalks this year, and the majority of them will be Dior’s. The French luxury house made Bella Hadid’s appointment as the new Dior makeup brand ambassador official this Tuesday, revealing the good news on Instagram. Hadid also shared her enthusiasm and excitement on her Instagram account, where she can count on more than 4.7m followers!

Bella Hadid Is The New Dior Makeup Brand Ambassador

“So beyond excited to announce that I am the new ambassador and face for @DiorMakeup !!! What a dream come true. Can’t wait for the show today at Blenheim Palace,” she wrote.

Hadid will thus follow in the footsteps of such names as Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard, who all creatively managed to give Dior their unique perspective and contribution to fashion and beauty for many years (Natalie Portman alone has starred in the Miss Dior fragrance campaigns for 6 years in a row). Models such as Kate Moss and Sasha Luss have also posed for Dior’s beauty and makeup divisions and, given their top-notch careers as models and brand ambassadors, we hope Hadid’s appointment bodes well for her future too.

Bella Hadid, who most recently walked for Dior’s Cruise runway show at London’s historic Blenheim Palace yesterday, will also appear in a series of online videos, dubbed “Dior Make-Up Live With Bella Hadid”, the first episode of which is due out on June 6, as reported by WWD. Such video series already make one of this year’s main fashion initiatives (just think about L’Oreal Paris’ BeautyTube and Christian Louboutin’s short film series!), and we are very likely to see more similar projects.

As for Dior, Bella Hadid will help the label lessen the distances between its luxury items and audience, revealing and showcasing what’s going on backstage along with Dior Makeup creative and image director Peter Philips. The first episode will feature the backstage preparations of the Dior cruise 2016 show, and we can’t wait to see how and in what ways Philips planned to style Hadid’s jaw-dropping face and hair.

“Hadid is a perfect ambassador [for Dior], with a diva attitude on the red carpet and a spontaneity with social media. Give David Beckham a [soccer] ball – that’s the same as her with social media. It comes naturally. It’s a talent. She loves makeup, she loves being pretty, she loves fashion,” declared Philips regarding Hadid’s appointment, fearlessly sharing his irrepressible (and natural) happiness.

As for Bella, this is just one of the main accomplishments she has had so far, including among others, covering Elle Magazine, Allure, Korean W, Spanish Glamour and Turkish Vogue’s most recent issues.
