Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrance Collection for Women

Apparently, Ralph Lauren has an intention to come back to the women fragrance market, as the luxury brand is preparing to launch a new four scent collection titled Big Pony. Actually, the upcoming Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrance Collection for women, which is set to hit the beauty stores already next month, is an extension of the Big Pony for men fragrances.
The Big Pony scents for women aims to grant women with a unique vibrant sensation, as the president of International Designer Collections at L’Oréal USA, Marc Rey stated: “With this launch, we bring to young women an appealing message: Live life in color by expressing every vibrant side of you. The Big Pony Collection for Women is a bouquet of exciting fragrances for the iPod generation’.


“The Big Pony Collection for Women empowers a woman to express all her different sides and convey the whole story of who she is. This means identifying the four key attributes of a modern woman’s femininity ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö√Ü sporty, sensual, free-spirited and stylish’, said Guillaume de Lesquen, president of Ralph Lauren Fragrances Worldwide. Moreover, he also added that the collection has been designed to appeal to women in the 18-24 age group.
The first fragrance of this youthful and refreshing collection has a strong sporty vibe, created thanks to the floral and citrus base. The scent uses cedarwood and musk at the base, complemented by the heart notes of blue lotus and dewy jasmine. Fresh grepefruit tones perfectly summarize this alluring perfume.
The second scent comes to be a little more sophisticated with a nice oriental flair. With the delicate base of vanilla extract, marshmallow, musk and drydown of sandalwood, the core of magnolia, lily of the valley and honeysuckle, finished off with the top notes of grapefruit, mandarin, guava and water lily, the fragrance comes to be really amazing.
The third fragrance is a floral oriented one, with the base notes of white amber and sandalwood, followed by the heart notes of mimosa and buttercup, finished off with the gracious pear and kumquat.
The forth scent has both floral and oriental touches. It is composed of the base notes of sylkolide, sandalwood and purple amber, the heart notes of magnolia flower and cristallon, complemented by the blood orange, casseyrein and watermelon top notes.
The complete Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrance Collection will be available for purchase in April and will have an ad campaign featuring two famous models. “The advertising concept celebrates the powerful group of four women, who visually reflect the fragrance collection through their vivid wardrobe and oversize polo pony icons,’ stated de Lesquen. Each scent will come in two versions: you’ll have to pay $70 for 100 ml and $55 for 50 ml respectively.

Eva Longoria To Launch New EVAmour Fragrance

Celebrity perfumes always enjoy fashionista’s great admiration thanks to their love towards their beloved icons. This time, it’s Eva Longoria’s turn to make her fans happy, as she is preparing to launch her second signature scent called EVAmour. It was back in 2010, when she released her first fragrance, Eva. EVAmour is more complex and bold than the previous scent of the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star, and it targets women trying to smell and feel seductive and sophisticated.


“I’m not used to something that is so layered, and the second one is pretty layered with some pink lady apple and red currant. The first fragrance is a little simpler,” she told WWD. “It is like when you start drinking wine. I started with white wine and have gone into the more complex, red wine. I am taking baby steps into the more complex notes.”
EVAmour has been created to reflect the real Longoria and it comes to celebrate the self-confident and sexy woman.
“You have different fragrances for different moods. If you are feeling seductive and sophisticated, wanting to go out and make a bolder statement, you wear the second one. If you are working around other people in an office, the first one might be more appropriate,” the actress explained.
Speaking about the reasons that made the gorgeous actress develop her own signature perfume, Eva said: “I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear. So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”
“I wanted something clean and fresh. Something that smelled like you just got out of the shower. And that’s how I came up with the scent,’ explained the actress.
Developed by perfumer Annie Buzantian, EVAmour has a romantic and seductive floral – fruity ” musky character. The fragrance is composed of the juicy notes of bergamot blossom, pink lady apple and red currant that fall over tiger lily, rose, frangipani and pink peony representing the floral heart of the perfume. The bottom notes of the fragrance come to be pleasantly warm thanks to the woody and musky tones, amber and vanilla orchid.
“When we saw it [the perfume], we just fell in love with it. It really reflects who she is. It is very seductive, but there is also this playfulness to it that plays off her personality. The red colored bottle represents what she stands for in terms of women, power and amour. It all ties back to who she is, and I love when there is that deep connection between the fragrance and the person,” says Betsy Olum, general manager of beauty and merchandising strategy at HSN.
Eva Longoria’s EVAmour will be exclusively available at the Home Shopping Network (HSN) on March 29.

CK One Color Cosmetics to Debut in Spring 2012
