Festival season is here and so are all the fun clothes. I personally believe that some attend festivals just to have a good excuse to dress up. Since there are plenty of examples of how to dress for the actual festival, I thought I would give you an idea of an appropriate look for an after party. Being in the desert at 4 am in teeny shorts and a tank is not exactly warm, luckily you can still keep the festive vibe and party going til the sun comes up with these pieces.
This is a staple piece for your wardrobe and it may be a surprise to many, but it’s actually very versatile. I love it with a basic t shirt and chucks. I’ve also worn it to a NYE party with a tuxedo blazer and bow tie. This look is another great example of just how versatile this piece can be. I found a great black one for you, but if you prefer another color, I would recommend getting one made from this Etsy seller, plus, you’re supporting a small business!

The key here is to get something that hangs in the backs and is soft and breezy for that boho look. You can either tuck the front in and throw on a cute belt, or tie the front pieces. These two pieces from free people would work great.

As I have said, you need a good moto jacket in your closet. Everyone does. If for some reason you don’t have one. Here are some great ones. I am actually selling the one in my photo on eBay right now. It’s Balmain, so It’s a bit pricy, but a huge gap from their infamous 4k retail. It’s the epitome of a classic moto jacket. This one from Madewell is beautiful as well.

Everywhere I look online and in stores, I see stripes, stripes, and more stripes. They are taking over the fashion world alongside their friend, the polka dot. There are so many vibe routes you can take with stripes, the possibilities are pretty much endless. I found this bold striped dress from H&M and I love how the stripes go different directions. I decided to mix it up a bit and pair it with white heels for a more mod pop. That dress sold out pretty fast but they have another version of it still available (below). I have also sourced out some other great striped dress picks for various vibes and occasions and found some cute ways to accessorize them as well.
My Look: This is a great outfit to wear to a party.

Spring is here and that means festival season is upon us, also meaning bikini season is just around the corner! It’s time to buff off that dull winter skin, get it toned, and get it glowing. With these summer skin prep tips you will be ready to glow in no time.
How: Because dry exfoliating is stimulating and energizing, we recommend you do it in the morning, of course before night out. Before showering you can stand in your tub and using soft, upward, long strokes start at your feet and work your way up to your midsection, then your chest and finish at your arms.
Why: Dry exfoliating is not just for eliminating dead skin cells, it has many other great benefits. It’s also great for combating cellulite because the stimulation can help eliminate toxins that break down connective tissues that leads to cellulite. Because this process also helps open your pores, any other treatments you follow with will be more effective, including hydrating. The health benefits are pretty awesome as well. Make this a part of your weekly routine and you may notice that due to the circulation boost it gives to your lymphatic system, some digestive and acne issues can improve.
If you want to get to those hard to reach places then I recommend using a brush with a handle. Otherwise this hand held one from Sephora is a great choice.

Polka dots are coming in strong this season. We have seen them try to sneak in over the past year to two, but now there is a full on polka dot craze. I have possibly went overboard with my dot purchased recently, but I honestly couldn’t help myself. I have gotten the cutest pants, jumpsuit, mini dress, maxi dress, skinny scarf, and more. With all the available pieces, and all of the ways to wear them, there are seriously endless possibilities.
My Look: In my look I am wearing this mini dress with red heels and a red hat, but later that day I kept the hat, but switched the heels for Chuck Taylors and it was just as cute!

This week I started making my final agenda for my trip to Paris next month, so in that spirit I naturally went Parisian with my outfit of the week. It’s SO simple to put together, and I basically did so with things already in my closet. The main piece being the vinyl trench coat. This outfit can work during fall, winter, and even early spring, ESPECIALLY in Paris.
Trench: My trench is still available, but just in case that one does not work for you, I found an alternative. Note: mine came with a coordinating tie belt but I swapped it out for this wide leather waist belt.

A slip dress is one of the most versatile pieces to wear, and in my opinion, everyone should own at least one. They are great to wear alone in the summertime or you can dress them up or down in various ways. Here I am showing you one slip dress, three different ways.
Let’s start with the main attraction. Here are three picks I found that can be super versatile. Personally, I think it’s smart to have one shorter one, and one mid-length one. Maybe even one with lace and one without lace. It’s often the tiniest detail that makes such a difference.

Hair color by Melissa Trujillo at Nine Zero One Salon, LA.
If you have chosen the path of being a not-so-natural blonde, you are probably pretty aware of the work and funds required to keeping those blonde locks healthy. I have been blonde for around 17 years now, and through LOTS of trial and error, I have finally found a routine that keeps my strands healthy. They say the best way to learn, is from experience, and being the delightful (insert sarcasm) combination of stubborn and rebellious, I have made plenty of hair related uh-ohs. Already having brittle and fine hair, I have made the mistake(s) of way over processing my hair to almost platinum, and then went through the habit of adding glued extensions, then moving on to bonded extensions. In the recent years, I finally slowed down with the processing, and with the help of hair color specialists (that actually know what they are doing) I went with more natural looking blonde shades, I only use clip in extensions as needed, I take amazing hair supplements, and I use the best treatments and products I can find. Through all of my trial and error, for the first time in a long time I finally have healthy hair, that grows! Below I am going to guide you through my routine, suggested products, and tell you why you need to use them. I get super annoyed when I see companies that advertise products that give you healthy *LOOKING* hair. I don’t want it to just look healthy, I want it to BE healthy.
FIRST we are going to start from the inside. All external health and beauty issues come from within, so… we should treat them internally. There are a lot of supplements out there that are amazing for some, but not for another. This too can be a trial and error process. One that is favorited amongst many is the PHYTO Phytophanere supplements. Suggested use is 2 capsules a day, preferably in the A.M. Get These Supplements For $60.00 Here. Color/Processing I can’t stress the importance of having a good & knowledgable colorist. Everyone’s hair is different and you need a process that is specifically and safely designed for your hair. When I caught wind of the go-to salon for blonde color here in LA, I couldn’t wait to get in. Nine Zero One Salon is located at 8469 Melrose Place in West Hollywood, CA. Don’t be surprised if you have a little wait to get in amidst the stars who trust the pros here, but it’s well worth it. Melissa Trujillo is my girl there, so if you land in her chair, tell her I sent ya!
This past Wednesday on our weekly Facebook and Instagram Live I wore this boho desert vibe outfit. While I put the look together from pieces that I’ve had in my closet for a while, and everything but the jeans and jewelry are recycled fashion, I feel this is a timeless vibe and a great go-to look that anyone can rock. I have found the exact jacket I was wearing available via eBay, along with similar pieces that you can snag to recreate this look.
Jacket: All Saints. I got this jacket about 5 years ago after spotting it on Pinterest. At the time it was 2 years old. I found it on eBay, and lucky you, there are currently quite a few to choose from.

If you aren’t too keen on recycled threads here is a great alternative I found from ASOS.

Blouse: The key here is to wear a blouse with a good neckline, and cuffs that are going to stick out of the jacket sleeves.

Jeans: I recently purchased these jeans from Wrangler, and they are my new favorites. They are a super stretch legging jean.

Hat: A good hat is a MUST for a wardrobe staple. It can spruce up any outfit, so I am a believer in investing in at least one good hat. These below are from my favorite hat maker, Nick Fouquet.

Earrings: I felt like an oversized pair of boho vibe earrings was a good feminine touch to the look. Mine are from H&M and no longer available, but here is another great pair.

Ring: I get asked about this ring often. It’s a piece I wear every day and probably my favorite ring. It from Spinelli Kilcollin. They come in so many options, but here is the one most similar to mine.

Belt: This style of belt is everywhere, and it’s a good piece that everyone should own. Here is one of my favorites from Free People.
