It’s time to kink it up in the bedroom with Savage x Fenty’s new drops. Just when we thought that Rihanna couldn’t bring any more fun in our lives, she strikes again. Only several days after announcing her gorgeous Moroccan Spice summer collection for Fenty Beauty, the Bajan singer has more surprises up her sleeves.
It’s officially time to welcome the Savage Xccessories. If anyone’s good with names, that’s definitely RiRi. It doesn’t matter if you have ever thought about owning bedroom accessories or not, you will now most certainly think of getting some. After seeing Fenty’s new releases, your bedroom party will take a whole new turn.
According to the brand, the Xccessories will come in two colors black or “caviar”, and soft lilac or “fairy dust”. For now, the X-rated will include 10 items. They are already available on savage.com. Bad Gal is introducing some very cool fetish-y accessories including whips, padded eye mask, restraints, handcuffs, lace garter, pasties done in either satin or leather, a riding crop, a lace eye mask, a mesh and chiffon garter and a satin garter.
The long-awaited Savage x Fenty first made a debut in May this year. RiRi hinted about her new venture for a while, making fans overly-excited to know more about the lingerie line. She promised there will be a diverse range of sizes, colors, and styles, all for an affordable price. Once fans complained that the range wasn’t as diverse as they expected, Rihanna promised that she will work on releasing even more sizes. The main goal of her Savage lingerie pieces is to make women feel sexy and powerful. So far, she’s been more than successful in doing that. The singer recently said that “I’m not built like Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie”. She wanted to stimulate ladies to love their own bodies.
When the Bajan beauty first announced Savage x Fenty, she also hinted there will be chic handcuffs. Since they were not released in May, everyone really hoped that the singer will launch the new releases soon. Some of the Xccessories are already sold out, so if you want to get your hands on the rest of the pieces you have to hurry up. Prices range from $18 to $24. If your favorite item is not available, you can sign-up for a pre-order.

It might be only the beginning of summer, but fashion brands are already thinking of fall. Tommy Hilfiger’s TommyNow shows are epic in so many ways. We sure got used to seeing Gigi Hadid as the front face of the previous “See-Now, Buy-Now” happenings. They took us on amazing trips to two different continents including Europe and North America. This year for the label’s Fall 2018 runway event, get ready to go on a venture in Shanghai. For all the fans out there, impatiently waiting for the upcoming presentation, it will happen in the largest town in China on September 4.
After four years of exciting TommyNow runway shows that presented collaboration collections with the mega-popular Gigi, it’s time for a new adventure for the brand. Just recently Hilfiger presented Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton as the new face of their label. This will be the first ever TommyNow runway show without Hadid. Hamilton is a four-time Formula One World Champion, known for his impeccable style. For Fall 2018, in September we will witness the first Tommy Hilfiger x Lewis Hamilton capsule line.
“TommyNow continues to disrupt the runway rules driven by our passion to introduce innovative ways to immerse as many consumers as possible into this event globally. For Fall 2018, our experiential event will evolve to become an even greater storytelling experience that celebrates our powerful fall 2018 collections and ambassador partnerships. After successful stops in North America and Europe, I look forward to unveiling our next season on a new continent.”- Hilfiger said in a statement.
The first “See-Now, Buy-Now” runway show was staged in New York’s South Street Seaport in 2016. It was titled “Tommy Pier”, and the presented collection was co-designed by Gigi Hadid. The following year for the Spring 2017 venue, Hilfiger and the model chose Venice Beach, California. This second collaboration was called “Tommyland”. It was the third team up when the two took things to a whole new level. The duo booked London’s Roundhouse concert hall for Fall 2017, infamously known as “RockCircus”. Just a few months ago, they staged a fabulous runway show in Milan for their fourth and last collaboration. The “TommyNow Drive” for Spring 2018 included a number of the most sought-about modeling names in the fashion industry.
Following the teaming up with the supermodel, Hilfiger’s women’s wear became extremely attractive to millennials from all around the world. The label cashed in serious earnings and is now continuing at the same pace. The Asia-Pacific market is currently one of the most profitable markets for Tommy Hilfiger, so the brand wants to bring the latest event even closer to its loyal customers. We simply can’t wait for September 4 to come, so we can enjoy another adventure this time in Shanghai.

Yesterday’s hype was all about GlamGlow and their first makeup product. Today in the beauty news section we have a completely opposite example of a brand who is undertaking a different action. Tarte is one of the most popular makeup brands at the moment. Fans are obsessed with their Shape Tape Concealer and Amazonian Clay Foundation. That’s why we’re more than excited to announce that Tarte is now launching a sister skincare label called Awake.
The concept of Awake is really amazing. We’re talking about products that will help your skin feel fresh and well-rested. It was inspired by busy ladies, who are always on the go and struggle to keep up with their schedule. The range offers products for a variety of skin tones. As the name suggests, your face will look awake even if you had a long night.
Awake has actually been around since 1995 but is now getting a completely different look and products. At that time their packaging was not so alluring, although the concept of organic skincare was still present. Thanks to the label’s creative director Daniel Kiyoi every single packaging today has a special meaning, intricately hinting the benefits of the products.
“The Awake Effect [the uh-weyk ih-fekt]: you can’t always get a good night’s sleep, but your skin doesn’t need to show it. Full of natural, antioxidant-rich ingredients, Awake is beauty sleep in a bottle that’s meant to optimize your routine & help your skin reach its true potential (in no time at all!). #bottledbeautysleep #awakebeauty”- says the label’s announcement.
There are already several items in the line that the beauty community can’t wait to put on a test. If you’re struggling with large pores and uneven complexion, Awake has the perfect solution. Their Pore Down Tightening Concentrate is priced at $38. It’s a silicone-free serum, which hydrates the skin, eliminates the dead skin and retexturizes it. Other highlights include a trio of “shots”, Hydra, Firma, Balance, vitamin C-infused serum, tinted lip balms and more.
Tarte’s packaging is always next-level. So the same thing applies to the Awake offerings. Everything looks so cute and cheeky. Bottles feature cute prints including tiny hearts, dots, flowers, stars. The colors are pretty, pastel and alluring. If you’ve been looking for a fairly affordable skincare label that will keep your complexion fresh and radiant, you might want to try out Awake. According to the announcement, all of their products are vegan, cruelty-free and only contain ingredients that are great for the skin.
You can start shopping the entire collection at awakebeauty.com. The prices range from $16 up to $38.

Designer Jeremy Scott released the pictures from his latest campaign for Moschino. The campaign features Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Vittoria Ceretti, Soojoo Park, Rianne Van Rompaey and more. All of the models are transformed into aliens with their bodies covered in blue, orange, yellow and green paint. The theme of the campaign didn’t come as a surprise considering the fact that Moschino‘s Fall/Winter 2018 show featured models-turned-aliens.
Jeremy Scott’s designs, shows, and campaigns are hard to overlook, but this time people had their eyes on something else other than the brand’s newest offerings. The designer introduced the brand’s newest campaign with a photo of Gigi Hadid transformed into a blue alien sporting a bold orange coat and blonde bob. He initially captioned the photo: “The only thing illegal about this alien is how good she looks.” Scott apparently wanted to address the way the U.S. is treating migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border as a follow up of President Donald Trump’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy. You are probably aware that children were being separated from their parents and held in detention centers. This is an extremely sensitive topic and the internet wasn’t having it with Scott. Instagram users immediately expressed their anger and disagreement in the comments:
“Get out in the street and do something worthwhile. Until then, you’re just another white man making money off the suffering of real people,” one user wrote.
Jeremy Scott most certainly paid a lot of attention to the comments because the original caption and name of the campaign are not there anymore. He renamed the campaign “Alien Nation” and explained that he wanted to use his voice and this campaign to send a message that immigrants are “our friends, neighbors, co workers, relatives and people we love.”
However, the internet was not pleased with the fact that Scott used a controversial caption in first place. The designer has a unique sense of expression which can be seen in his designs. However, the situation with the immigrants is a very sensitive topic at this moment and he probably should’ve known better before posting such a caption. On the other hand, people on the internet were mad because the fashion industry has a history of profiting from activism. You probably remember Dior’s “We Should All Be Feminists” white tee that was part of fall/winter 2018 “feminist” themed show and collection. Moreover, many brands came up with pride-themed merch in time for the pride month. The problem is that some of those brands are selling stuff without actually supporting and speaking up about issues that target the groups.

The Fenty effect is real! Ever since Rihanna made a bold move towards inclusivity by launching a whopping 40 shade foundation range, major beauty brands are under pressure to stand for inclusivity. Fenty Beauty was one of the first brands to introduce such a diverse shade range and many brands just had to follow to stay competitive. One of the latest brands that joined the fight for a more inclusive beauty industry is Too Faced.
The cult makeup brand with over-the-top aesthetic decided to expand its foundation range to cater to customers of all skin tones. Its infamous Born This Way foundation is already a favorite among the beauty obsessives, but the shade range wasn’t as impressive as the product itself. That is why the brand decided to tap influencer Jackie Aina to work on expanding the existing range with medium-to-deep shades. Jackie Aina is an outspoken influencer who fights for inclusivity in the beauty industry and is not afraid to call out brands that don’t cater to women of color. For her is not just about the number, she wants to make sure that the offered products actually look good on women of color. She took the collaboration with Too Faced very seriously and according to the brand made sure to introduce shades that will look flattering on ladies with a deeper complexion.
“I was blown away at how dedicated Jackie was to making sure she got this all right. She interviewed dozens of people and reached out to hundreds of people online, and took note of what they needed and what they weren’t happy with. She really did her research to ensure the nuances of every shade were perfect,” Jerrod Blandino, Too Faced co-founder and chief creative officer.
Believe it or not, the entire process took almost two years. Too Faced and Jackie Aina expanded the Born This Way foundation range with 11 new shades. The collaboration resulted in 9 medium to deep new shades with 3 that are on the deepest side of the range. Too Faced is also releasing two new light shades that are on the lightest end of the spectrum.
The collaboration faced a bit of criticism when it was first announced. Jackie Aina made sure to address the comments:
“A lot of people thought it was in retaliation to other brands, like Fenty, but we met about this way before we even knew what Fenty was launching. I absolutely understand that people felt like it’s too little too late. But this is a good thing,” she told Glamour.
Too Faced’s mastermind Jerrod Blandino announced that the expansion of their foundation shade range is just the beginning. He assured that the brand is working on making all of the products more inclusive.

The beauty industry is going stronger than ever. Popular celebrities are starting their own labels, while the existing brands are expanding their range. One of the newest trends includes skincare companies embarking on and expanding into color cosmetics. The latest one to join the craze is the ultra-popular brand GlamGlow. We already know them for the super-fun My Little Pony glitter face masks, and intense overnight treatments.
GlamGlow chose just the perfect product to be their debut makeup one. There isn’t a single lady out there who is not obsessed with highlighters. So, the label made a very smart move and launched a mesmerizing highlighter palette. The GlowPowder is a true delight to the skin, both because of the radiant shimmer and the great ingredient list. It offers various uses including face and body.
“Introducing #GLOWPOWDER! Our newest innovation is a Hyaluronic Acid Infused Highlighting Palette. This silky smooth palette of hybrid glow powders comes in three complementary glowing shades: NUDE GLOW, SUN GLOW, and PEARL GLOW. Available NOW on GLAMGLOW.com for $42! #GLAMGLOW #HELLOSEXY”- the brand announced on Instagram.
The glow palette features three different shades. Pearl Glow, as the name suggests carries a light flattering iridescent shade. Nude Glow is the middle color, ideal for different skin tones. Sun Glow is the darkest one, perfect for summer days. Just like many times before GlamGlow didn’t disappoint with the packaging. They chose a fun hot pink case that carries the letters GLOW on top. The highlighter palette comes with a mirror.
Another amazing thing about the highlighters is the formula. The brand wanted to introduce a product that will both provide you with that ethereal glow and improve the health of your skin. They sure know a thing or two on how to get a perfect complexion. That’s why you’ll notice that the GlamPowder palette includes hyaluronic acid as a part of the ingredient list. The Brazilian Golden Clay is an already proven effective part of their face masks and is also featured in the highlighter formula. According to the label, this new release is set “to diffuse light, blur imperfections, smooth skin, and refine and enhance your complexion”. No parabens, phthalate or sulfates in the formula.
The best thing about this exciting release is that is already available online. All you have to do for a healthy glow is visit glamglow.com. This may be a little over the price limit considering other highlighter palettes on the market. All of GlamGlow’s products are on the pricier side, so such a price tag was expected.
