Stradivarius Gets Moody In Fall 2016 Campaign
Stradivarius is currently one of the most influential high-street retailers in Europe, with its collections always inspiriting us with some of the most acclaimed fashion trends season after season. For the Stradivarius fall/winter 2016-2017 collection and campaign, the Inditex-owned Spanish brand gets moody and melancholically edgy, with proposals and motivational quotes overwhelming us with wanderlust-infused feelings.
Poetically entitled ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§The Silent Song’, Stradivarius’ fall 2016 campaign takes us on a trip to Clevedon coastline, where the beach, the seaside, the cliffs and romantic Victoria Pier all serve as complementary settings for the pieces model Julia Jasmin showcases.
Captured by photographer duo B‚Äö√†√∂¬¨√Üla Adler & Salvador Fresneda, this dreamlike Stradivarius fall 2016 campaign is, of course, accompanied by a video and an equally suggestive soundtrack as well, namely AaRON’s ‘Blouson Noir’. As stated by the label, the video tells a “story of love and hope, in which the voice of interior introspection guides us through the thoughts of the protagonist,’ a strategy that in return makes all of the outfits stand out even more.
As for the proposals themselves, the campaign shows the Spanish brand’s fanciest side, with items that travel from the Seventies to the Nineties. Some of the must-have essentials also draw inspiration from Gucci’s FW 2016-17 garments, the lines, colors and overall style of which have been recently embraced by Uterque’s fall 2016 collection and the Forever 21 pre-fall 2016 line-up as well.
As for the more Nineties-inspired part of this autumnal collection, the Spanish label focused on a dark color palette that, when not displaying blacks, dark grays, greens or blues, lets grunge-infused checked and lace patterns dominate the scene. Turtleneck sweatshirts, billowy sweaters with round necks, hoodies and street style beanies will rejoice those who are specifically looking for unapologetically full-loaded grunge and heroin-chic outfits, as well as those who just don’t fancy the Seventies-inspired look that much.
As for the latter, Stradivarius focused on specific go-to wardrobe essentials that could be easily mixed and matched with one another to create the perfect day-to-night outfit. Warm palazzo pants, parkas and denim jackets with (faux) fur appliqués, furry cropped coats and pleated mid-calf skirts act as cozy proposals for us to wear anywhere, whether we need something fancy to revamp our office looks, or glamorous standout pieces for a night out with friends.
If what you are looking for is the ultimate party dress, we recommend checking the sequined slip dresses, as their shiny reflective lights and sensually casual lines are exactly what one needs to dance the night away.
Lastly, biker boots, pointy-toe metallic flats, trendy chokers and heart-shaped mini bags are only a few of the It-items Stradivarius treats us to for this fall/winter 2016-17 season, and they are already available for purchase at Stradivarius.com too!
