Milan Fashion Week Fall 2016 Street Fashion
The third round of the Fashion Week runway shows is officially over, ending the Italian parade in Milan before heading to Paris for the French counterparts along with the internationals who have permeated some of the top runway shows in the world. We started off with New York a few weeks back, moved on to London, zoomed off to Milan, and now we have to say that in just a few more days, the fun that we have been having both at the shows themselves and on the streets, enjoying the rather inspiring pieces the ladies have been showing off as impromptu models, will end. Until then, let’s delve into the best street style looks from Milan Fashion Week fall 2016 as presented below!
Since it is technically still winter, despite the end of the coldest months, we have been seeing a whole lot of outerwear, all long sleeves and coats. There were a few looks that we simply cannot get enough of, that really brought the top fashions for the seasons to life. There was a whole lot of prairie chic happening with lovely flowing dresses in brighter colors and tiered skirts, while the whole of the theme was pointing towards a modern retro. Then again, those pantsuits that kept appearing were positively divine, while the leopard print coats‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√묨‚àÇ let’s just say that we are enjoying the animal prints immensely.
Fur is huge for the reason, whether we are talking mohair or more velvety styles. They were pretty much everywhere on the streets. They adorned hoots and sleeves, hems and came in stoles, giving the outfits an even sharper look.
Some of the ladies braved the cold with bare legs and midi hem skirts, while many just opted for some awesome denim, both distressed and worn in immaculate washes. Among the trending pieces on the streets have been the socks under heels look that we have taken to calling the nerdy look, lots of cool layers in different colors, colorful faux fur coats, thick black chockers, mustard jackets, high ruffled collars, pretty scarves tied around neck, lot of sunglasses, and turtleneck cord knit sweaters.
There are some pretty awesome ‘80s looks, while the accessories are enough to have one begging for more fashion. The streets were no stranger to leather looks either, nor darker colors, while the odd brighter feel of it gave us a sense of thrill. The reds and yellows and brighter blues and all are exactly what we needed, while those checkered shirts, striped suits, ribboned necks, booted legs and belted waists gave us the same sensation: fashion weeks should be happening more often if these lovely creations are what we shall be seeing dotting the streets throughout it!
There have been some very interesting people on the Milan Fashion Week streets outside of the shows, including blogger Denni Elias who walked about in an attention grabbing sheer net cutaway piece, while Anna Dello Russo was in with a pink printed jumpsuit and pink matching hair, looking positively gorgeous. And then there was Miroslava Duma, with the retro chic and modern mix combination of practicality and fashion all thrown into one.
