Reformation New Fall 2015 Lookbook: Make It Two
The new Reformation fall 2015 lookbook titled ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Make It Two’ celebrates the modern trend of twinning, bearing the tagline, “When you start looking like your friend, it’s only weird if you make it weird.’ This collection features simple shapes in simple colors, celebrating the earthy tones of fall. Fall coats, jumpsuits, and high necks seem to be on this brand’s agenda, with the range to cover any woman’s needs for autumn.
A warm jacket is essential for the chilly fall months, and Reformation offers us a wide variety of fabric choices, including wool, faux fur, suede, tencel, and leather. With the exception of two motorcycle jackets, the trend for the season appears to be calf to ankle length jackets. Another interesting trend that can be seen in this lookbook is the idea of a hyper-functional turtleneck. Featured as a part of the black and grey dresses with high necks, the “Greenland dress’ could prove useful against those chilly autumn breezes. The dress itself is made of a knit fleece, almost as if a sweatshirt and a stylish mini dress become one and the same.
Reformation clearly has great ideas in terms of giving women what they want and need for the cold months. Warmth is a priority in this line, and so is the brand’s eco-friendly mantra. And to top it all off, they found a way for women to look great in the process.
The color palette really embodies the sense of fall. There couldn’t have been a better combination of nude, navy, olive green, and garnet red. Not only does this lookbook allow for women to find beautiful clothes to buy, but it also can help give a better understanding of how to create a fabulous outfit.
Pairing and accessorizing go a long way, especially when there are multiple layers involved. This collection of clothes really doesn’t concern itself with making its ensembles extravagant, but rather stays subtler and shows the practical, everyday uses the individual pieces can have.
There’s something so cozy about the way these photos were taken that makes me wish I could be curled up on my couch, wearing any one of these warm ensembles, with tea and novel in hand, and looking outside at the changing leaves. On the other hand, the idea of walking around town in these outfits with the same weather sounds just as appealing. It is one thing to make a collection of excellent and wearable clothes, but a completely other thing to evoke such a wide spectrum of emotions from the viewer.
As fall quickly approaches, it’s important to find a way to balance fashion and layers without compromising one over the other. Reformation clearly has a grasp on this concept, and even if your budget is smaller than you would like, you can still look to this brand and their lookbooks as a source of inspiration, so you can go out with the confidence that you look great while being bundled up.
