Rihanna Designs Socks Now
Remember the beauty, who won the hearts of the public with her songs of ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§SOS’ and ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Hey Mr. DJ’ back in the day? Remember how we felt her pain after the domestic abuse she endured in the hands of Chris Brown? Can you still feel that Russian roulette game hiking up your blood or the way her songs about being unfaithful somehow managed to hit the right strings, even if you had never been unfaithful before? Yeah, it is pretty strange for a star to take such a bright career and incredible music and turn herself into a designer, particularly that of socks. It is a bit of a hard pill to swallow for us who see her trademark hairstyles and hear her incredible voice in our minds when we conjure of the name Rihanna. Though, we have to say that the socks Rihanna designs are pretty cool!
Rihanna is now the creative director of a sock brand, Stance. That is a shock but also ultimately very amusing, considering the fact that she is also creative director at Puma now, starred in the Dior campaign, collaborated on a line of temporary tattoos with Jacquie Aiche, and is working on a line for herself. Rihanna is now also a contributing creative director for Stance, wherein socks are given an artistic edge and inspired by athletics and street culture. The elite group of brand ambassadors for Stance are called the “Punks & Poets’ which is a pretty fitting name for it really. Rihanna is expected to create a line of signature women’s collections over the next few seasons as per her contract, with her first limited edition styles called “Murder Rih Wrote’ with over-the-knee options. The sets come with 3 socks apiece and there will only be 1500 sets in production. This means that very few of us can lay claim to the awesome Rihanna socks.
Rob Kardashian was already in the sock designer department before competition in the form of a dark angel appeared, with a drop dead gorgeous body and more fans than Rob can count. She is quite the competitor too as we expect to see a whole lot more from her in the sock industry. Her first full sock collection will be available come September and we are surprisingly pretty excited about it. If the promo pic is any indication, we are going to be seeing a very “bad girl’ look on pieces that are both flattering and cozy to wear out. We are certainly looking forwards to checking them out and modelling them on our own legs. Though how good they would look with soccer calves, we are not so sure. Hopefully our gorgeous diva will take the less leggy and slender into consideration as well when pulling together her creative pieces meant for the feet more than any other part of the body. Worn with her signature dominatrix shiny faux leather, we can imagine just how alluring it will appear once the pieces are put out for the masses.
