Dolce & Gabbana Portofino 2015 Limited Edition Collection
Summer surf and utter sexiness prevail when we are presented with the one and only Dolce & Gabbana Portofino 2015 Limited Edition collection! Think beachy shoes, tiny bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, shirts and bandanas, think fun accessories and an absolute salty taste in your mouth. The gorgeous designs seem to have received their inspiration from the picturesque town of Portofino in the loveliest of destinations known as Italy. The Dolce & Gabbana brand brings the summer collection of limited edition items that are all a woman needs to feel like she’s holidaying in Rome with absolute style, no matter where she may be. Audrey Hepburn style! It is one of those things that appears randomly in a pop up boutique, this one coming in during the month of July, and then disappears from your life forever.
The line-up includes a nice wide array of garments though, including pencil skirts, tunics and eveningwear along with the beachwear we totally expected to find. After all, Portofino is a famous resort town, a fishing village very well known for its picturesque harbour and its association with guests who are of celebrity status. It is within the province of Genoa, situated in the Italian Riviera. From what we have seen, it is totally worth the trip, and thus makes the brand’s focus on the towns themes rather understandable.
The pop up boutique in Portofino is set to appear in July and be situated in the Piazza Martiri dell’Olivetta 7. The colors used, as well as the prints shown off are of the loveliest creative minds, looking so well melded together but still with much to warrant satisfaction. We notice a whole lot of blue used throughout, as background especially, which draws the eyes over but calms, just as the peace sea in Portofino. The chain links all around are very Italian and very interesting, almost detracting from the images of the scenery that appear within their borders when they appear on a dress or two, while we notice that orange and yellow are also border colors seen in abundance. We see sailboats and pretty themes, headbands of different kinds appearing in fun designs along with the scarves and sashes tied to those oversized handbags, looking all posh and beach ready.
Which era did you consider to be the best Italian fashion-wise? We have to say the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s are pretty awesome, with the high waist on the midi skirts, the bandeau style crop tops (here with straps though) and headscarves worth a million in looks. Those wide white-rimmed sunglasses are totally the rage right now and the extra-large handbags might actually really be worth carrying about. Just make sure someone’s watching them to prevent unnecessary theft of a piece that will become irreplaceable once the summer is over. Those fabric-bodied flat summer shoes are rather perfect as well, generally matching the print styles of the outfit worn overhead. Don’t forget to take those selfies with the phones in cases made to show off the awesome fishing village as well!
