Living A Very 1970s Summer with Stradivarius
Spanish international women’s clothing brand Stradivarius is all about looking chic and Western with the totally 1970s looks in the Stradivarius summer 2015 collection it boasts. The company was founded in 1994 in Barcelona and is known both for its clothing and accessory lines. While some automatically think of the musical instruments based on the Stradivarius family, this retailer should not be confused with it. Currently, the brand is present in 57 countries and has around 880 stores all over the world. It may not be as big as some other Spanish retailers, but it certainly makes its own splash, particularly among the European fashion world.
The Stradivarius summer 2015 collection is simply irresistible really, with the cropped shorts and the loose shirts, the pretty kimonos and the form fitting blue denim. There is something so very bohemian about so many of the looks, with the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§70s flair reigning strong. That was an era we all loved, even those of us born later in the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s, for we are reminded of the West, of cowboys and romance, of hot desert suns and cool summer rain that washed off a day’s work completely. We think of the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§70s with a sense of nostalgia, while we can now enjoy the fashions that made the time period so very dear to us.
Long white dresses that remind us of pretty princesses are a great addition to the collection, flowing in the breeze and looking so very sweet, while the fringed vests that fall about the legs are reminiscent of days gone by, of romance in the fields and of riding bucking stallions day in and day out. Boho hair, minimal makeup and bare feet give the look a more interesting feel.
One look we absolutely love from the 1970s is the button up skirts that had high waists and short hems, giving it a rather sensual appeal. Add in a white blouse that is loose in fit and with ties around the wrists to give it that billowy look and you have put together an awesome outfit that you can top off with a red cowboy hat, leaving your medium cut hair down and wildly free, your lips touched up with a hint of gloss. You will look pretty as well as alluring dressed up like this and not just for the line dancing either!
Other looks you can opt for include a button up midi skirt in denim that you can turn into a center split skirt, loose spaghetti strapped crop tops or fringed camel hued jackets, white denim with high waists and body fitting cropped camisoles, long knit jackets and peplum tops, leather belts and single button shirts, long maxi skirts in boho prints and tasselled garments. You can wear pretty little rompers and bowler hats, lace up gladiator sandals and rounded eyewear. White pants with bell bottoms are so very much in, as are the off-the-shoulder blouses, alongside the plunging neckline halter topped jumpsuits. Most of all, we are in love with the gorgeous blue denim and the lacy white skirts everywhere.
