Emerald Green Eye Makeup Tutorial With a Matte Effect
When you have already played with all the possible color combinations for creating dazzling and fresh eye makeup looks and have no more idea for surprising everyone around with your beauty skills, it’s high time to experiment with various effects, such as watercolor or shimmering eyeshadows or ones with an interesting matte finish. We have previously presented a classic emerald green smokey eye tutorial mixing and matching emerald shades with those timeless browns, as well as taught you to create an equally sizzling emerald eye makeup look injecting a touch of gold into the smokey style for a higher impact. Still, our love for the timelessly chic and universally flattering emerald green shade doesn’t stop here, as here we are to present this emerald green eye makeup tutorial with a matte effect that will take your party looks to a whole new level!
The matte finish of this eyeshadow slightly tones down the dramatic feel of the emerald color, making it look more sophisticated and so harmonious with the brown touches that are combined in the look. It’s a wonderful makeup style to don for various special occasions, including your prom party or a romantic date night with your beloved one. Pair it with a nude lipstick not to distract attention from your beautiful eyes and you’re welcome to coat your lips with a lip-gloss, which will create a subtle contrast with the matte finish of your eyeshadow. Hardly will you pass by your friends without being paid enormous compliments to, so why not fetch your makeup products and tools and start practicing to copy the look? What you’ll need to do this matte effect emerald eye makeup is:
‚Äö” Makeup base, foundation, concealer
‚Äö” Eyebrow kit
‚Äö” Eye primer
‚Äö” Brown eye pencil
‚Äö” Eyeshadows in brown shades and matte emerald green
‚Äö” Mint green watercolor eyeshadow
‚Äö” Black eyeliner
‚Äö” Bronze lipstick and a transparent lip-gloss
‚Äö” Makeup brushes
Step 1: As always, you should start from the base, that is applying the makeup base and then the foundation, using concealer on problem areas if you have any. Give definition to your beautiful cheeks using a peach blush, which is universally flattering and will go well with your eye and lip makeup.
Step 2: Give a beautiful shape to your eyebrows using an eyebrow kit (Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony), and if you like the natural look of your brows, you are free to skip this step.
Step 3: Prime your lids and define the outer V of you eyes using a brown eye pencil. Gently smudge it and apply a dark brown eyeshadow on top of it (ABH Beauty Mark). Blend this brown tone with a lighter brown color.
Step 4: Apply a mint green watercolor eyeshadow on your mobile lid. Next, apply a matte green tone over this color (Melkior Alien Eyeshadow). Now, you’ll need to gently blend the edges with a brown eyeshadow.
Step 5: Emphasize your lower lid applying the same brown eye pencil and the brown eyeshadow that you have used on your upper lid.
Step 6: Apply black eyeliner on your upper lid and the waterline and then also apply black mascara. You can go for false eyelashes if you want to create a more dramatic look.
Step 7: As for your lips, coat them with a bronze pigment (MAC Tan Pigment), finishing it all off with a transparent lip-gloss.
While the result is utterly bewitching, the steps to creating this makeup look are quite easy, so even beginners can easily copy the look sticking to the steps and blending the colors well.
