So the steps of this fab brown eye makeup tutorial with a metallic finish go as follows!
Step 1: Like in the case of party makeup looks, daytime makeup also requires a flawless base. So apply a makeup base on your fresh face and then use the best foundation according to your skin tone and skin type. You can use concealer on the problem areas, if you have some. Sculpt your face with your favorite blush tone and you are done with the basic step!
Step 2: Fill in your eyebrows and fix them in to their place, using a brow gel.
Step 3: Blend a warm brown tone or a light orange one high to the crease (Orange Soda from Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish palette). Now, a little bit lower in to the crease, blend a darker warm brown (Sienna from the same palette). The blending should be done in a circular motion.
Step 4: Apply a golden brown eyeshadow on the mobile lid (Rum Cake from the same palette). Now, spray your eyeshadow brush with a makeup setting spray (or use eye drops, if you don’t have one) and then apply the same eyeshadow. This will give a metallic finish to the eye makeup.
Step 5: Apply a lighter shimmery eyeshadow to the center of your lid. You can use your face highlighter here too.
Step 6: Use a medium brown tone on your lower lids (Truffle from the same palette). Blend the colors using the Sienna eyeshadow.
Step 7: Since we are creating a softer daytime makeup look, we are going to ditch eyeliner and use a black eyeshadow instead. Apply it to the roots of your lashes using an angled brush (Black Diamond from the same palette).
Step 8: Apply a light cream eye pencil to your waterline and then go for black mascara. Finish off your metallic brown eye makeup with false eyelashes. We advise using natural ones that will slightly elongate your lashes and won’t look too much for the daytime.
Step 9: Go for a nude lipstick to finish your daytime makeup look. If you later want to wear the same look to a party, simply change the nude lipstick with a bright orange-red tone, which will create a bolder and more special look.
As you see, brown eyeshadows are extremely functional and they can become a perfect base for creating both wearable daytime makeup looks and special-occasion ones. Try to do this lovely daytime brown eye makeup look you too and you are sure to fall in love with it!
