Alexa Chung for Vero Moda March/April 2012
The quirky style and ultra-covetable appearances of Alexa Chung have turned her into a real It-girl and she has become the muse for numerous girls in the world. The 28-year-old model-turned-presenter occasionally appears on the covers of the international glossy magazines, works for various legendary fashion brands, as well as shows her designing talent by collaborating with some big names in the fashion industry. Now the British style icon has linked a deal with Danish clothing label Vero Moda for their new spring/summer 2012 collection. She features in the newest Vero Moda March/April 2012 lookbook wearing some of those lust-worthy pieces from the brand’s newest collection and looking ultimately cute and cool in every design.
“Alexa Chung is an inspiring woman to work with. She knows her fashion references and is able to combine high-end designer items with high street and vintage in a unique way, putting personality into whatever she wears,” confessed Katja Hundrup, international PR head of Vero Moda.
The Vero Moda March/April 2012 collection draws inspiration from the ’50s and ’60s style, and features a myriad of chic, effortlessly hip goodies for modern fashionisers. There are adorable cherry mini dresses, kimono blazers, loose pants, shirts, breezy tops, long shirts, peg legs and cool shorts, all reflecting the hottest catwalk trends of the new season. And Alexa is definitely the best choice of the Danish brand to demonstrate all those vintage stunners. Just learn it from her and channel your inner boho babe this summer!
When Grazia Daily asked Alexa whether London and New York were good cities for shopping, she said that, “Err, they are quite similar actually, they both have good vintage shops, for sure. I think if anything, it’s depleting faster in London, so in New York you still have the chance to pick up some great gems. Whatever you need you can get it in either. For example vintage you can get in Brick Lane or Williamsburg, and then for high end you have Dover St Market in London or Barney’s Co Op in New York.”
The British Fashion Council has selected Alexa Chung as the new BFC Young Style Ambassador. Her new role is to “promote British fashion design talent to a global market,” the BFC said in a release.
“We’re delighted to announce this role for Alexa,” BFC CEO Caroline Rush said. “She is hugely influential in both the fashion industry and to the wider public, who have voted her as winner of the British Style Award at the British Fashion Awards for two years running.”
Yes, Alexa Chung really rocks the fashion world!
